Tami (who is dear to my heart due to all the help she has ensured I had, which helped me emotionally also) Emilee and Raj were wonderful in their scheduling to ensure Dad went home with 24/7 around the clock care. Provident caregivers have been wonderful with my Dad. They have been consistently kind, respectful, and professional. My Dad is in independent living, and with their assistance, he is able to continue independent living. They come twice per day, at set times. They do not come on call, and I understand that. Nevertheless, if there is a need, and a caregiver is available, they have helped at a time other than the agreed times. My Dad really likes all of the caregivers that have come. Provident has made things easier for my Dad, his independent living facility, and me. I highly recommend this service. read more

Our family has been using Provident Care in-home health aids to care for our mother since August 2021. Since we live two hours away from Modesto, we needed help in caring for our mother who was recovering from a fall. In the months since, she has been able to continue living happily at home and remain independent as possible. Provident has been a perfect fit for our family and has relieved us of a lot of concern with their wonderful eldercare services and oversight. The caring and professional staff of Provident in-home care providers has been consistently helpful, knowledgeable, trustworthy, reliable, and punctual. They have provided a wide range of services to help our mother, including bathing and dressing assistance, meal preparation, medication management, grocery and drug store shopping, housekeeping and laundry, and safe transportation to medical and other appointments. Provident's management has worked with us to consistently schedule vaccinated, well-trained, and experienced staff as needed--certainly not an easy task during these years of nursing and healthcare staffing shortages because of COVID-19. A Provident online tool helps us to verify shift staffing and see who is scheduled to help Mother. Provident's billing department has also coordinated seamlessly with Mom's long-term care insurance. Though Provident in-home aids perform all needed tasks to keep our mother healthy and safe, it is often the intangibles they perform that add up to make a big difference. For example, Provident in-home aids have encouraged Mother to accomplish her rehab exercises, provided friendly companionship, and helped her with everyday low-vision challenges. Provident Care has been a valuable part of Mom's life these past months and has certainly allowed her experience greater health, happiness, and contentment at home. read more

She has had several different caregivers since then, and all of them were top-notch in terms of being caring and competent. We have never had a bad experience. Provident was wonderful with my parents as our mom recovered from a stroke and congestive heart failure. One of my parents, I should note, is not always easy to be around. We found ourselves in need of 24/7 care for our mother who was suddenly placed in Hospice. Within 10 hours of our call for help (on a Sunday morning), we had our first Provident Care Professional at our door. They continued rolling through every 12, 8 or 6 hours, depending on availability. Each was professional, caring, and knowledgeable of how to care for a patient needing end-of-life care. Each Provident Professional was able to interact with the family members who were usually present or napping in the next room. When a change of shift occurred, there was complete information transferred to the new professional so the transfer was seamless. They knew when to call Hospice for advice, or prompted family members to call Hospice to have questions answered. I felt the Provident Care Professionals were a team working with our family to give our mother the best end-of-life care we wished our mother to have. My father (now 95 years old) has been receiving daily care (8-9 hours) for about two years, and the quality of care he receives has been excellent. The care-givers have been competent, thoughtful, and very helpful to him. One, in particular, has been willing to talk with us about his status and how he's doing. The case-manager, too, is very on top of the job. We have been able to work with both of them in helping my father develop a care-program that fits his needs and his resources. The only reason this company is getting a 2 is because of Christine Hankins, and the only care giver Cassandra (goes by Cassie) that actually showed up. If I can rate those 2 professional service separate from the rest of this company they would get 5 stars and the company would get zero. We meet Christine Hankins in our love one's home at that time we came to an agreement that they will send someone out for 2 hours 3 times a week. We asked that each week be different days for example 1 week Mon, Wed, Fri then the next Sun, Tues, Thurs. We understood and were fine with the fact it may not be the same person each week since we did not want the same days each week. The 1st two days were fine on the 3rd day that is when we started experience the unprofessional employees in the company. Our love one needed to change the time for the 3rd day visit. Mistakenly our love one called the office in the beginning of the week instead of contacting us 1st, so that could have been the reason the staff did not call our love one back, but they also did not contact us either. Then the day before the 3rd day our love tried again to reach their office the unprofessional staff transferred our love one to the scheduling manager's cell phone (who by the way was out sick). She of course had no idea what was going on since she was woken up by our love one being transferred to her. Of course the unprofessional went down hill from there because of the miscommunication between our love one & the manager that was just woken up while being home sick. If you know your employee is home sick step up, and do the job that employee is not doing. When I found out what was going on because our love one called me very upset & I received a voicemail message fore the sick employee saying she is sorry for the mistake. I called Christine Hankins she informed me that she will look into this, confirmed the time that we wanted for the 3rd day, and said that she will have someone call me to confirm for the 4th day the very next day. I got busy, but never received a phone call from anyone in the company about confirming the 4th day. On the 4th day after the 2 hour time was almost past our love one called me upset again because no one showed on the 4th day. This was a Sunday even though I was sure Christine Hankins was not working that day I called her company cell phone number, and left a message that this is the 2nd unprofessional experience with this company in a very short amount of time. Christine Hankins stepped up on her day office kept me updated on the status as she was trying to get answers from her office. In the end the employee she was speaking with either as Christine Hankins put it "got me confused with another client" or the employee lied to Christine Hankins since the employee informed her that I called and canceled the service for that day. I informed Christine Hankins that I have not spoken to anyone regarding that day's needs expect for her. Christine Hankins did sound concerned and sorry for the mistakes her company caused. She not the company itself came highly recommended from the hospital our love one was released from. Our love one had nothing but nice things to say about Cassandra (goes by Cassie) when she was with our love one. I just wish the rest of their staff will learn from these mistakes, and never let them happen again to any other families that choose to hire them. We have cancelled their service, and have found another. We do not feel safe with the other staff at this company with our love one. We do wish Christine Hankins and Cassandra (goes by Cassie) the best. read more

Provident Care provided us with EXCELLENT 24/7 caregivers for my mother. The first person they sent us, Mary, was a true gem. It took a few more tries, some a better fit than others, but eventually we got amazing Amanda as a second caregiver and things went very smoothly after that. Case managers Tami and Kellie were great to work with. When the time came, Tami proactively put us in touch with Optimal Hospice.
