    I was told to open an account with non-esg credit unions because it is not vulnerable to the bank closures recently like First Republic and the others like it. Is that true? Is it good advice? Is this a non-esg bank? Thanks for the help!

    Bad customer service!!!…read more I went on Tuesday, 4/21/26 at around 3:30pm to see if I could do a walk-in with their Merrill representative. There was no one running the lobby so I stood in the teller line to talk to somebody. After almost waiting 10 minutes in the teller line, a short bald Indian man came out around from the other side of the bank and started to talk to customers who we all sitting down. He was wearing blue jeans, a puffy vest, white athletic shoes, and no Bank of America name tag. I didn't know if he worked there or not, so I asked if he worked at the bank and was running the lobby. He said yes and asked me what I needed. I said I needed a Merrill rep. He then asked what kind of service I needed that day. I said that I needed a Merrill rep and not a teller even though I was in the teller line. He then asked if I was an existing customer, and I said yes (but why should that matter). Then the man walked over to the Merrill office, spoke with the Merrill rep, and came back to tell me that the rep said that he was on a customer call for the rest of the day, and is unavailable. The lobby person didn't even offer to help me book a future appointment at the Westlake branch or anything else for that matter. I was told to try the Stonestown or Serramonte branch. I just walked away after that. Wasted my time. I won't be going back to that Westlake branch. At the time of this review, I had made an appointment and gone the next day to see the Merrill rep at the Noriega branch. I spent about an hour with their Merrill rep and learned a lot about my account.

Today...there were (2) Tellers, both were helping a client, I was 2nd in line, no big deal AJ was my teller! I came in for a Cashier's Check for a 2026 Toyota Corolla. He was very patient, very helpful, very professional. He also had me double and triple check that my name and amount was correct. AJ...thank you very much! 5-Stars! 10-Stars!     This is the most comprehensive Wells Fargo branch in my area, so it's one I'll visit for more…read morecomplicated transactions like wire transfers and foreign currency exchange. This is also one of the only Wells Fargo branches in the area that has a drive-thru ATM, which can be a convenience when the ATM has cash in it. :-P The reason I give this rating three stars is because there is usually a dearth of tellers once inside the branch. Also, there was some kind of theft ring in the parking lot where the thieves "caught" the wireless unlock code to my car and followed me to my next destination where, while I was inside the other store, they proceeded to unlock my car and liberate the cash inside without damaging anything. Since I'd already withdrawn the money, the branch was not responsible for the theft. I still let them know and I'll be VERY vigilant next time I have to visit this branch. (TIP: If you see anyone suspicious in the parking lot pretending to be on their cell phone but looking at you a bit more than usual, take note (and probably a quick pic if you can)). In sum, the recommendations I have for this branch would be to beef up both the teller and parking lot security presence.

    Just got out of the bank just now.... Worst experience ever. Longest wait time. I'm a patient…read moreperson but when it comes to unnecessary prolonged wait time it's not okay. The teller working today (the only teller working today -- Sandra Enriquez, she is a wonderful and attentive teller, although there are HUGE areas of improvement... mainly being she needs to cut the chitchat to a minimum. Her main duty is to be attentive to the guest needs -- which is banking, not about their life story or what has been happening to them that DOES NOT REGARD ANYTHING ABOUT ANY BANKING TRANSACTIONS. I was observing and listening to everything Sandra E. and the elderly gentleman were talking about in their conversation. At one point, she had assisted him with all of his questions and needs for his banking like his checks and how he wants his bills, how he likes everything in a particular way, and what he needed her to print out in a specific and particular order. She was very accommodating and attentive with that which is awesome because that is her job. But what she really truly needs to work on for a huge area of improvement is keeping chitchat to a minimum. And I'm saying this again because it came to a point where she allowed the guest to tell her his whole life story that is unrelated to banking which prolonged everyone else's wait time she was the only bank teller when I walked in and there was already a line of seven people. It grew even bigger once I waited in line a few minutes after which then maybe about 15 minutes after waiting a second bank teller comes into help assist Sandra with the line. After a 35 minute long wait time, finally the older gentleman quickly walked away and as he was doing, so the next lady in line made a comment and said what is this chitchat before heading to Sandra's station and Sandra claps back and says "it's not chitchat ma'am!" Honestly it definitely was chitchat because everyone heard everything the whole entire story of how his dog had a bad stomach and he was having diarrhea all day and just the guys's entire life story not to mention after the gentleman was done with his banking the gentleman continued to have a Conversation with Sandra because he found out that she was Latina because he asked for her first and last name, and so he decided to start speaking Spanish English to her which is unnecessary because there is a long line very unacceptable. Really, the line was really long and the fact that Sandra could not cut the chitchat to a minimum and focus on her main goal, which is banking. It made everyone's day longer and dragging.

    Went inside for a Cashier's Check, as I always do to pay rent…read more Female Teller demanded to look at my personal phone before moving forward. Absolutely unnecessary. There is no Chase Policy stating that a bank teller must view your personal device for any kind of transaction. I do not recommend this branch. I will be banking elsewhere from now on.

    could not sign in my chase app to view bank statements after updating the phone number. system…read moreinstructed me to call some internet security team. for 10+ days, they kept putting me on long holds, and refusing to unlock my account despite i correctly, repeatedly answering all their questions. or, after i passed their security grills, they would give congratulatory promises that my account would be unlocked automatically after days, but it turned out all lies. search the internet, you can read similar or more horrific stories as such. seems that these security people find it more convenient to indefinitely defer the customers to their colleagues, for none of them want to take on any responsibility. customers end up ping pong balls, or cans forever being kicked down the road. after much time was wasted, i visited this Chase bank in person, and was assisted by banker Kelsey Ruan. Kelsey was cordial, patient, with superb listening skill. She grasped the nature of the problem fast, and started to make some phone calls. her internet colleagues put her on long holds, and routine bureaucratic stuff. yet despite her gentle voice, Kelsey was persistent and tough when it got down to business. even after my account was unlocked, Kelsey insisted her security colleagues to hold, while going thru with me to ensure that my account was not compromised, and that i would have no trouble signing out and in again. trivial thingy, but Kelsey was very much attentive to detail. the receptionists and tellers i encounter at this Chase branch are all helpful and friendly people. ample parking facilities too. i would highly recommend.
