After my public post last week, I have received a very long threatening letter from Sanderson's…read morelawyers. I am editing my initial post, removing all editorial comments and personally identifiable information. I will simply be stating the facts. My story is a horror story. Like many other reviewers here, I would give them zero stars, if I could. I am an owner in a building managed by Sanderson. My experience with Sanderson employees was atrocious, since almost day one in the building. On March 10, 2023, I have filed a discrimination complaint against one of their employees, through their internal complaints system. Sanderson never acknowledged nor replied to my complaint. The Sanderson Property Manager assigned to our property, provided two affidavits that contradict each other. Before Superior Court she falsely claimed that she received 12 noise complaints from multiple residents against me. Two months later, when pressed by the CAT adjudicator during examination, she admits that there were, in fact, only 2 complaints from the same person, president of the Board for our corporation. During cross-examination before Superior Court, when asked to explain the discrepancy between her statements she answered" I am not aware why". As if she was not responsible for her own actions. Before CAT, she testified that she did not receive accessibility training. Months later, before Superior Court, she changes the story, again, and states that in fact she did receive accessibility training, but she made a mistake, she forgot she received it. The Property Administrator from Sanderson took inappropriate pictures of me and my service dog in the backyard of my own home to prove that I had 3-4 dogs in my unit, another blatant lie, of course. She falsely claimed that I did not allow the plumber, hired by the Corporation, to inspect my unit. My partner had the presence of mind to record a conversation with her, which clearly shows that not only did we allow the plumber to inspect our unit but graciously invited them to come back, if needed. Yet, based on two Sanderson's employees' false statements two legal actions were commenced against me, which caused me and my family tremendous harm. The Corporation lost the case before CAT, but the stress of a 10-month unnecessary proceeding had a devastating impact on my health. I have informed Sanderson of their actions, I have also informed them that the presence of these two employees, who made blatantly false accusations against me, is causing me increased anxiety. I cross path with them daily. They both continue to act as Property Manager and Property Administrator, for our property, despite my numerous complaints. I left my home, my first home in Canada, due to their constant false accusations and surveillance. I was terrified they will fabricate more lies. CAT adjudicator also admonished the corporation who was represented by the two Sanderson employees ". It is not unreasonable to conclude, in light of this degree of surveillance, that they felt, if not targeted, then very uneasy living in their home." The Property Manager, as representative of the Corporation and affiant in the CAT proceeding, attached stills from the camera in our building to her affidavit, to prove that our service dogs were aggressive. The CAT adjudicator, in her ruling, stated: "the video stills submitted by the corporation of the dogs which purport to suggest aggressive behavior do the contrary." I am a person with an invisible disability and their atrocious actions had a devastating impact on my health. Our Property Manager is aggressive, lacks basic understanding of condominium legislation, she once told me that she was not required to disclose a case before the Condominium Authority Tribunal in the status certificate, because, in her own words "CAT is a tribunal and not the courts, therefore is not legal action". I would absolutely discourage anyone who wants to buy a unit in a building managed by Sanderson

Where to start, this place is horrible. They also have broken appliances that take min 6 months to fix after 4 or 6 emails. They enter (literally just walk in) our unit with out calling or emailing and so does any contractor they hire, so if you value privacy, safety, and your personal belongings don't rent here. Also the front desk person is the rudest and sassiest person I've ever met. He should not work here or anywhere in customer service.

We had our heating broken for most of December - March and the issue was finally resolved after we refused to hand over our rent for the month when suddenly the parts they were waiting on for months just arrived. Their laundry service Sucks so much i always end up paying extra (like $5 every time) to get even one load of laundry done. They will reply to you emails when they feel like it and their phone support is entirely redundant. Every issue i've called them about all they say is "we'll pass on the message to your building supervisor and when i ask them for someway to CONTACT the building manager they say they're not allowed to give out that info ??? . worst decision of my life, save yourself a lot of frustration and don't rent from them, even if they're cheap it'll cost you more in the long run.
