When we got to the top it was fun to look around the city and see the ocean. Lots of history here and we are so grateful for the memories made. There are 4 Town-Owned cemeteries in Provincetown…read more The oldest is the Winthrop Street Cemetery which is located between Winthrop and Court Street. This review is for the Alden Street Cemetery, established in 1800 which is sub-divided into several sections - Old, New and Upper (Alden A & Alden B). Across Cemetery Road is the Gifford Cemetery which was established in 1818. Hamilton Cemetery, established in 1833, sits next to the Gifford Cemetery and is the smallest with only 92 plots. The Alden St Cemetery has many sites dating from the 1800s and even some from the 1700s. Of course it is still an active cemetery so there are sites from recent years. For those into historical sites, you could see stones where people's lives were in-scripted with the years, months and days...some just even said Mother or Father....some were for people in the military or seamen.

Simple in design, with 4 large plaques that have names inscribed, but worthy of our review and appreciation. There are 2 large benches to sit and reflect, and the flag pole at the back stands tall overhead. Thank you Provincetown.

Oh darn, Jamie W and I had just missed Audra McDonald's appearance here with Seth Rudetsky by a…read moreweek. I would've loved seeing them in a vintage community hall setting like this. As it turned out, we were in Provincetown the following weekend when gay comedian Matteo Lane was appearing. It wasn't cheap, almost $120 for two seats in the balcony. We lined up on the grounds around the historic building and waited about an hour before they let us in. Entering the cavernous hall, I felt like I was in one of those late show movies where the suspicious townsfolk would be listening to a boyish Jimmy Stewart begging for their support for some cause like a new fire engine. Chairs were set up in long rows, and the acoustics were quite good. We could hear Matteo's punchlines pretty clearly from the balcony. I love coming to the Provincetown Hall to see performances. I have seen so many great performances…read moreby the most talented performers. I have always gotten balcony seats and it's a great view from up on the second or third floor. The Town Hall is beautiful on the inside and out. They always have the best musicians come whether they're vocalists, pianists, violinists, etc. Sometimes they'll have famous award-winning performers. I always look forward to seeing a performance. They have bathrooms accessible and easy to find as well. After a performance, you'll also more than likely be able to find souvenirs sold by the entrance/exit. They always have the most talented guests come and perform.

Visited yesterday with my mom and grandma who have wanted to visit ptown their whole lives…read more Unfortunately my grandma cannot walk well. A parking attendant recommended renting a wheelchair from the chamber of commerce and it made our trip! The people working in the office were beyond friendly and quickly helped Us obtain a wheelchair. We made a small donation for the use of the service. My grandma had an amazing day and was able to see everything she wanted. She had a permanent smile on her face(sadly something we dont see too often anymore) and had a blast. Thank you so much to the Ptown chamber of commerce for having this service. It meant so much to my family. God bless

We've always seen the big Chevy Suburbans near commercial street with partially deflated tires and wondered about the tours but never pulled the trigger, so glad we did! Our tour guide was awesome full of knowledge and facts about Provincetown, the dunes, the beach shacks on the dunes, and the flora & fauna of the landscape. He fearlessly drove us up hills of sand and took cool pictures of our group of 5 at pretty picturesque points. I'd highly recommend it was well worth the time and money.
