Remnants and ones we didn't even bother trying

We got the wedding cake sampler and filler sampler. It was the worst lemon cake I've ever tasted. We spit it out. It tasted like cleaner. There were four of us. We couldn't finish more than a single bite or any of the 6 flavors. The frostings were shortening based and tasted like plastic. It was worst then box cake and jar frosting. Not worth the $25. I've never left an online review but this was so bad.

    This the cake we had.

I picked Provo bakery for my wedding cake on July 26, 2024 because the pictures for what they offer were awesome. I had my future/now new husband end up picking the cake up since my sister couldn't make it in time. Had I picked the cake up I'd have asked for a refund. I asked for a naked cake yet the cake had areas caked in THICK frosting. The frosting was to make up for the uneven cakes. Yet with all the frosting I could see the cake was uneven and lopsided. 170$ for a plain vanilla cake with a very artificial tasting raspberry filling was not worth it. I did write in my notes if they could mix the raspberry filling with some vanilla frosting as the filling. I received only a the email that says I paid. The cake wasn't worth the money and I would have just made it myself for not really getting what I wanted. I'd never recommend here or shop here again. To add the decorations and items on the cake were added by me not them.

We LOVE the Provo bakery. They make fresh donuts and pastries every morning and whoever decorates them does a great job. The workers are always really kind and it's hard not to get more than a couple of treats to try. It's easy to miss because it's a cute little shop on the corner but if you can find it then try it! Such a fun little hidden gem.

I came in on a Saturday in a very odd quiet time, probably after a very big rush. I am rarely in Utah county, but I make it a priority to try donut places when I am visiting a particular area. Sadly, they had run out of toasted coconut. I ended up getting a regular coconut, a maple donut, a buttermilk, and I can't remember the 4th one. I will say that the coconut donut (in spite of making a horrific mess in my car) was so, so good. Like, so good. The coconut was awesome, but the donut itself was so yummy. I had a bite of the maple, and my husband ate the rest of it. I didn't try the buttermilk in time for it to still be good. Looks like I'll have to come back another time. I was surprised that the donut case was so small and wonder if they shouldn't make their case in front more dedicated to donuts, or add another front case? The young lady helping me was friendly enough. Do yourselves a favor if you're in Provo, and grab yourself a donut from Provo Bakery along with some BYU chocolate milk from the creamery, and have a beautiful eating experience.

After a year of being in our freezer the top part of our cake still tastes fantastic! The cupcakes were wonderful and full of flavor. I refer my friends all the time to check them out.

I sought this bakery out for a wedding cake. I wanted something super simple and they delivered. Ahead of time, they provided a sampling of cupcakes for potential cake flavors. My favorite was their cream cheese buttercream. It was both beautiful, simple and delicious with fair pricing. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and prompt. I would recommend them!

Provo Bakery is one of my favorite spots to buy donuts from. Their donuts are so soft and fluffy. You can also custom order letter/number donuts with whatever color you want them to be. I have ordered letter donuts a couple of times and they have always turned out so cute. Every April 1st, they sell "salt donuts" that you can buy to trick your family and friends. It's a fun tradition they do every year. Most recently, I was planning our company's 20th anniversary party and custom ordered sugar cookies for our party. Provo Bakery went above and beyond to make sure I was getting what I wanted. They answered all of my questions and helped create a design of what I wanted the cookies to look like. They were a huge hit! I recommend supporting and buying from Provo Bakery if you're in the area!

This is my first time officially visiting the bakery. I have had their donuts before, but never actually been into the shop. At the time of writing this review, I have been in two times. The first employee working was nice and helpful, she explained to me a little bit about the bakery, what the customer favorites are, and what her personal favorites are. Even though she was helpful, she didn't seem very thrilled to be working. I am reading my review off of the product and the experience. For those who would like to know, she did not put on a mask when I entered. I know that as of now the mask mandate is over in Utah County, but I figured I should let people know that they are not requiring masks for customers (there was at least two other customers not wearing masks). I got a couple donuts, and they were all pretty good! I attached some photos to my review, so you can review what I got there. I went again a few days later - very good stuff. I would give the donuts 5 stars: they were very very good. I would give the overall experience in the bakery 4 stars because the two interactions I had with employees were helpful, but not happy? The second time I went in they did not give me two donuts I asked for (they charged me for one). I am not mad about the experiences, I understand that sometimes work sucks. I hope the owner of the bakery does not read this review and get after those employees, I just want to write a review about the complete experience I had. I absolutely will be returning to the Provo bakery!

Very expensive for a donut! Whipped maple frosting was the only thing that made this place worth it.

Whoever put up the signs that say, "Try a fermented cookie!" and "The very best chocolate chip…read morecookie!" is a genius. I HAD to try one of these cookies strictly because the signs were enticing me to do so. The cookie was okay. Probably not the best chocolate chip cookie but not the worst. It was more on the cakey side and did have an acidic bite to it, which was unique. However, the sourdough bread is what really won me over! I was able to sample the regular, honey wheat, and dark bread and all were easily some of the best sourdough I've ever had. Crusty but airy, slightly acidic and full of flavor. It was delicious! I'd recommend visiting this bakery for the bread, the friendly and helpful staff, and the smells. (The smell of freshly baked sourdough bread fills the tiny shop from wall to wall.)

It wasn't cloyingly sweet where it would make your stomach sick, which is what you might think when you saw it! Most of the donuts there were filled donuts and I'm not a huge fan of filled donuts because most of the time the combination of the donut and the filling does make you feel sick after eating one. But I heard the check out lady talking about how they made the cream for the donut I tried and I knew it was the one for me! I do wish they had options like a plain chocolate cake donut with chocolate icing. But this is more of a gourmet shop than your local, average donut shop, so I understand why they don't. I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 because the checkout lady was a bit scatter brained and didn't ask me if I wanted a receipt. When I asked for one she got even more flustered and couldn't figure out how to give me one and basically said oh well - you just can't have one. I wanted the receipt so I could turn it in to google surveys which pays me money for taking surveys and uploading my receipts. So I was kind of irritated.
