To me it is some of the most delicious desserts in Orem Provo area. If you have never had the Kitty Katrina.... Then GET IT! It's a vanilla cake with vanilla frosting. We've gotten a mini 7" cake a couple times, sliced and wrapped it and put it in our freezer and it kept for over a year. A delightful dessert to pull out on occasion. Oh my pizookie!!! The best!! We got two to share, one was half chocolate chip/half peanut butter, and the other was half Cadbury/half white chocolate. So freaking delicious, however, they forgot we ordered Cadbury, and made it with half chocolate chip, but still amazing! I think our favorite was the white chocolate and chocolate chip! They give you the perfect amount of ice cream for every bite! We also got the oatmeal cream cookie, to die for, the mint brownie, chewy and delicious, the salted caramel cookie, yummy, and the 7 layer bar with coconut and Graham cracker crust, this was the only thing we didn't love, it basically fell apart when you bit into it. I went in around 9:30 and there weren't a lot of options left, which makes total sense. The service was very nice and helpful and I got a peanut butter brownie and a slice of Oreo chocolate cake. When I got the brownie home I realized it had definitely been sitting out all day. Maybe longer? It was so hard and stale! We microwaved it to help but honestly it didn't. No stars for the brownie! I LOVE the chocolate cake! I have been craving it for months. The Cazookies are really good. They do take about 10 minutes to make but it is definitely worth it. The cookies are always soft, warm and gooey. They put a generous amount of ice cream on top. I've also had some brownies and cookies and those are all good too. I recently participated in a sugar cookie taste off with six different bakeries, and The Chocolate was one of them. So my review is based solely on one cookie that I tried. I will update my review in the future when I come in to visit. The sugar cookie was Independence Day themed-perfectly round, white frosting and red, white and blue sprinkles. It looked a little like a mass-produced cookie, just based on how perfect it was. The cookie itself had a strong lemon taste, not a traditional sugary taste. A few people in my group really liked it, and a couple did not. I think it really depends on personal taste and what you like. The texture was very soft-both the cookie and the frosting. I was pleasantly surprised at the inside of this place. It was very clean, inviting and welcoming. They even have a little cafe type area for sitting if you want to. I won a free cake and had set it up to pick it up on Monday and it was somewhat miscommunicated. Unfortunately, it wasn't ready when I stopped by, but they totally made sure to take care of me anyway. They offered two free cookies and even said they will be personally delivering it to my house later the same day. Talk about exceeding expectations and making me forget it wasn't ready. I got the Chocolate Carmel Reindeer cake and holy cow is it amazing! I have no idea what they do to the icing but it is just the perfect flavor and sweetness of chocolate-goodness. The cookies for the antlers are also soft and flakey and work really well with the icing. The icing decor is also amazing and I really didn't want to cut the cake but I aint about to waste all that sweetness either lol. Every bite of the cake is amazing! I think they must put chocolate in their icing or something because it kinda has a smooth chocolate taste throughout. I am not a big icing fan and I really don't like fondant and so for this icing to be so good and not fondant is impeccable. The cake itself is also delicious and is not very sweet which is great because it works with the super sweet and flavorful icing. Delicious dessert shop out of transformed house into bakery off State Street in Orem (another location in West Jordan off Redwood Road). My go-to is the White Chocolate Chip with Macadamia Nuts Cazookie (enormous fresh baked cookie with scoop of vanilla ice cream). The Husband is a great cake option and probably one of their most popular items. The sugar cookies and brownies probably don't get enough love at times, but are very tasty and priced the lowest on the menu. The cakes are not items that are continually being made throughout the day, so inventory is limited near the end of the night. read more

Definitely cannot give this business a solid 5 stars because of the lack of items. Their times close at 11pm on a Saturday and there were only 3 choices for brownies and 3 cake choices with 3 hours till close. Disappointed because I was so excited to try an array of items due to it being my birthday today and wanting to try this new business. There were about twenty people when we came in at 8:15pm today, which makes me think that this is a poppin' place so still confused why they were out of so much. While we were checking out, another employee said to the employee checking us out that they had less than 5 cazookies left- 3 hours before close. But here is a run down of the two items we did decide to get. The Cherub: holy moist! Seriously, I was so impressed with how yummy this slice was! I told my husband how sad I was when I realized all of my adult life I never got a cake for my birthday so we decided to support a local bakery. This bad boy is also uber rich, like, I think I took 1 1/2 bites and I was completely content for the night. Portion was great, especially for a $6+ slice! The Peanut Butter Swirl Brownie: yall- I can understand the hype of this place! This brownie (can't speak for all of the brownies here, but at least this one was more on the fudgey side) was great too! The peanut butter tasted like Adams Peanut butter- the no fluff real stuff and we loved it! It had a hint of salt to it too, like maybe the peanuts were freshly ground, lightly salted nuts? Idk, maybe we are crazy but the brownie definitely wasn't overly sweet in our opinion. It is however a very dense brownie, hense why I said it's more on the fudgey side. Just like the cake, it was a couple bites each for us and we were satisfied. Overall, still pretty bummed there were not a lot of options tonight. We were excited to get multiple items and taste test them all. What we got however was great in our opinion. We took our order to go though we intended to dine in just because there were so many people (no masks and no room) and we had our infant so we actually had a way better time trying our items in the car. With that being said, I can't touch too much on the cleanliness of the establishment due to not being able to dine in. The perfect cake does not exist! Or DOES it? Yes, I am thinking that it may be possible after all! Being a frequent traveler, I often find myself sampling cakes in many different countries multiple times a year. Never once did I think I would find the perfect vanilla cake so close to home until I came across The Chocolate. While closing on a property, someone in the title company recommended this place and I have been grateful (though 5 pounds heavier) ever since! I have only had 3 flavors, the Kitty Katrina (Vanilla), The Cherub (Chocolate) and The Husband (Yellow cake with chocolate icing) and have loved them all. The Kitty Katrina and the Cherub are phenomenal! Most people I have shared with have said the Cherub is the best chocolate cake they have ever had! Due to my busy schedule, I have only ever ordered slices through Door Dash or Uber Eats while in Utah County but I hope to order full cakes in the future. The cake slices have always been boxed well and arrived fresh, moist and in picture worthy fashion. I am happy to know that even if I can't find a great vanilla cake in Dubai, Ghana, Ibiza or Tonga I can find it in Orem Utah! read more

I ordered a cake here a few weeks ago in preparation for my wife's birthday. They weren't sure what a "Berry Chantilly" cake was because their spin on this type of cake was called "Berry Brothers". Basically I was looking for a berry cake similar to the one found at Whole Foods. The cake itself was quite delicious and a very generous size for the price. The fruit layers were excellent, but the cake itself bordered around a little too sweet. Ordering on the phone is fairly easy. However, do not expect them to call you and confirm that your cake will be ready the next day. In fact, when I had called the day of pick up, I was a bit concerned the cake was not going to be ready because there was some confusion about the name/nature of the order. A fun surprise right by the skating rink on State Street. It's a small little place with some very chocolatey desserts. It is a little pricey compared to some other bakeries or grabbing something at Trader Joe's, so a reduction of one star, but definitely a place I would go again. It's open till 10:00 pm which is a huge plus if you need a place to hang out and talk-but the place is small so don't head there too late. I was so glad I was finally able to try their desserts starting with "The Husband"cake. This was probably one of the best cakes from top to bottom that I have had from a bakery, outside of making homemade. The yellow cake was soft, fresh and airy.
