Attended back in the 2000's for a Computer Science degree (which they stopped offering shortly thereafter for obvious reasons) and it was a waste of $20k and 2 years of my life. Teachers didn't know the topics, the equipment was outdated, the education all but useless and zero job placement. Sounds like they are still running the same scam now 20 years later. It seems that there are a lot of older reviews on here, so I wanted to take the time to write about my experience at Provo College as a recent graduate of the BSN program in the August 2023 semester. To start, the Dean, Angela Lindley, and Assistant Dean, Doran Sorenson, are great educators and people overall. They really "whipped this program into shape" to be completely blunt. They truly care about the success of the students and were always available whenever I needed study advice. They both have impressive backgrounds in the nursing field & did a great job of incorporating real-life situations into our lessons. I went through a lot of health issues during the program and they both were very supportive and helped me to not fall behind in the program. The program is tough, and they have high expectations, but they know that real-life problems occur, and they are there to work with you and support you when you need them. Lastly, the final semester Professor, Nikkie King, is absolutely incredible. She is very familiar with ATI and knows how to prep you for the NCLEX. My confidence in my nursing skills & knowledge soared significantly because of her help & support. Nursing School was one of the hardest things I have ever done, but I am beyond grateful for the supportive environment at Provo College for helping me through. My experience with the admissions counselor has been terrible. He is the most unprofessional, rude person I have come across in a while. I went there to look into the nursing program I already have a college degree. Garret, the admissions counselor seemed like a low level salesman. I think that people should be careful of this place it seems that the admissions counselor is trained to get you to sign up at any cost even if he had to lie and deny it later. Garret in particular seemed to get frustrated when I asked him a question that deviated from his crappy sales script he memorized. I felt that he was incapable of leveling with me in terms of how long the program would be with all the classes I wanted to transfer in. He gave me 2 different answers on both meetings with him and he denied what he said which is interesting because I wrote it down. He also bashed other schools in the area that are accredited which is unprofessional and just lame! I don't think this is the right place to go if you are transferring or are an older student. I think this place is designed to get students fresh out of high school but I would still pay attention to the costs etc. don't trust the sales/admissions people. After some more research and speaking to other people in the area, I found that my experience was consistent with other people. The reviews on this place are bad for a reason. Thank God I figured this out before I wasted anymore time. I wish anyone who reads this the best of luck on your education journey. And if there is someone from the college who reads this. Do not go to Provo College! It's a total scam. The school allows all students into the program that met requirements but then a semester later many student are removed from program and are not given a second chance to come back. I spoke with a teacher and off the record she told me that the school is looking for "higher quality nurses" which meant anyone with tattoos or a questionable life styles were no longer desired. Just finished the PTA program and it was an overall great program. Instructors are very caring especially if you make an effort to do what it takes to pass the course. It's not easy but ohh so worth it. I have learned so much in the past 2 years and I got offered a job before graduating. read more

I graduated this December from the PTA program and I couldn't recommend it any higher! Our teachers were absolute rockstars and really took the time to help us understand, pass the NPTE, and become better clinicians! I loved the small class sizes and wouldn't trade this experience for the world! Career services has been great with helping me find a job. My only difficulty I had here was I'm from Ogden and the commute was really difficult. I hope one day they're able to work with UTA with maybe getting a front-runner pass to make it more accessible for people in Northern Utah! Provo PTA class of 2019! read more

I come here about every other week to get a $20 one hour massage. It is an amazing deal. All massages are given by the students but dang you can sure score with some of them. I found a student I love so much I request her every time I come. It is cool because you fill out a sheet before the massage telling the student the areas you would like worked and goals for the session. After the session you can fill out a feed back sheet so the student knows areas to improve. read more

They tell students that they are wasting their time and that they will never make it as nurses. The only thing they are concerned about is collecting their money. Fantastic PTA program that really helps make sure you're prepared for the national licensure exam as well as making sure their students feel prepared to enter the field. The facility members are fantastic and are always available to help outside of class time. The program/school as a whole is rather small, but that only adds to the learning experience, as each student can have the one on one teaching that is required and you never feel like you are forgotten or being left behind. Would recommend Provo College to anyone interested in being a Physical Therapist Assistant. read more

I went to Provo College a few years ago and was in the personal fitness training program. I feel like it did not prepare me to enter the field. Only two people in my class passed the national certification test. I feel like I paid so much for an education which did not get me to my future career. I feel like they are money hungry and weren't willing to work with me even as a graduate from their school. I would not recommend provo college to any of my friend of family. read more

I went to Provo College because they're accredited, local, smaller classes, offered a lot of perks on campus, etc, etc....When I started school, I must say, all the students were sub par to a normal human being. It was as if the only students they could attract were not personable, clueless to common sense, never used deodorant, and BARELY passed high school. Then the instructors-wow! Most of them went to college at some point, but I only had one teacher for about 8 of my classes-He had to go and learn what he was about to teach us the day before class!! All those perks-all went away when they decided to fire the campus president at American Fork, hire some satan woman, then replace her with some dude that thinks smiling will cause cancer. I swear, he couldn't be nice if his daughter's life depended on it. He cut off usage of the gym to students, had little attendance cards like back in grade school, closes his door and locks it so no one could talk to him, fired the good employees that kept the students happy and productive, then changed the accrediting body of the campus which in turn changed requirements and costs for students. He also banned students children from EVER being on campus. That was a HUGE perk for students going to school at night because they worked during the day-saved them a ton on babysitters or driving to and from families homes where the children now have to stay. And the cherry on top, most of us are not rich, so we can't afford a huge commute, that's why we chose this campus right near home, and now they're closing down the campus and making us choose to either drop out of school, or drive a light year difference between the campuses. To some, it might not be that much, but to us barely surviving as it is, it's a huge cost! And to try to drive that much more, make it to our job on time, and make it to school on time so we don't get in trouble, is now almost impossible! IF YOU CARE ANYTHING ABOUT YOUR FUTURE, FIND ANY OTHER SCHOOL! PROVO COLLEGE WILL PUT YOU IN HUGE DEBT, AND THE EDUCATION YOU RECEIVE SUCKS VERY, VERY BADLY! You will not be prepared to work in the area you are studying for. You're better using your gut instinct rather than the "education" they have to offer. read more

I think the first thing that tipped me off that this college wasn't going to be the greatest was the website. You have to "request information" to get any basic questions answered and my informer Trevor, didn't seem to have any idea what he was talking about. I was trying to see if provo college would accept most of my credits from a previous university I'd been at for a year. Trevor asked me to send pictures of my class schedules so he could help me figure out what would transfer, turns out he had no idea and instead of responding with anything helpful he through me a pitch of "well the real question is whether or not you want to finish school faster." I was looking for help not some crappy sales pitch. I decided to set up a meeting in person to see if someone else could help me and I was assigned to trevor again...bummer. He gave me a date and a few times to meet with him, but no place to meet him, when i texted to confirm what time I wanted and to double check where i was supposed to go he never responded. I am extremely disappointed in the service and how i was treated, you feel like you're being talked down to instead of having a normal conversation. I wouldn't recommend provo college to anyone. read more
