The range. Interesting workers that look to be in distance for some to hit. ‍

It's a driving range. About 20 bucks for a large bucket of 110 balls. There a small restaurant with great local beer on tap. They have a late happy hour. There is a food truck outside back and the restaurant has food. Not reviewing the course. Haven't played it in years.

I have to give this place credit. They have a double story driving range a chipping area, putting area, a bar/restaurant and a 9 hole course. It is the absolute complete package for practice. The driving range can be used in all weather situations as they are covered bays. The bar is full of on tap beers, wine and local favorite seltzers. Nothing better than having a cold beer in between smacking some golf balls! Give it a try next time you are looking for a cool golf experience.

Great little course. Love the new pro shop. It does get crowded. They keep the driving range open late. They have a great coaching staff.

Max (who I believe is the owner) went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. He was incredibly kind, helpful, and provided some of the best customer service we've experienced. The reservation process was quick and easy, and the hourly rate was very affordable ($40 per hour and additional $5 per person) Since we don't own golf clubs, they provided us with a set at no extra charge, and even gave us complimentary chilled water bottles, which were much appreciated after working up a sweat. The facility itself was spotless, comfortable, and nicely air-conditioned, making it a great place to spend a an hour in especially on a hot day. One of our favorite features was being able to stream YouTube TV, so we watched the World Cup while practicing our swings--it made the experience even more enjoyable. The simulator technology was incredible. It provided detailed feedback that really helped us understand and improve our swings. Whether you're a beginner like us or an experienced golfer looking to fine-tune your game, the technology is both fun and genuinely useful. Overall, we had such a great time and can't recommend Fox Hole Golf Club enough. Between the outstanding customer service, clean facilities, affordable pricing, and top-notch simulator technology, it was an all-around fantastic experience. We'll definitely be back!

I was spending $120 an hour on coaching lessons before this, and getting vague recommendations that only confused me more. For a $40 an hour, 1/3 the price, you get to see exactly what you are doing wrong, not be in the sun all day, and hit all the balls you want. The simulator is top tier, dead simple to use, and gives you a recording of every swing. It even has pose detection to tell you exactly what's wrong with your form. I initially came to see how far I could hit but spent the entire time correcting posture problems detected by the simulator~

I was stationed at the face-painting table and was busy for most of the event. There was food and refreshments available, but I was never offered even a bottle of water or told that food was available to volunteers. By the time I could finally step away, everything had already been packed up. I even saw the remaining ice from the beverage area being thrown onto the lawn. I understand that volunteering means donating your time. I was happy to donate mine. But I also believe volunteers--especially people providing professional services--deserve basic consideration and acknowledgment. I later noticed that the event recognized vendors, caterers, sponsors, and other contributors, but I did not see any recognition for the artists providing face painting. That was disappointing. Artists are professionals too, and our supplies, skills, experience, and time have value even when we choose to donate them. Before leaving, I asked whether there were any photos or video of me working because I was too busy face painting to take any myself. I was also hoping to receive a simple letter acknowledging my volunteer service and providing some feedback about my work. I reached out afterward, but I haven't received a response or even a letter acknowledging my participation. The actual face-painting experience was enjoyable, and the people I interacted with were courteous. The volunteer coordinator was also kind enough to let me take home one of the pink palettes, which I appreciated. I hope FIRST Tee Silicon Valley takes this as constructive feedback. Organizations that depend on volunteers should make sure those volunteers have water, access to food and breaks, appropriate recognition, and some acknowledgment of the time and professional skills they contribute. I would have loved to leave this experience feeling appreciated. Unfortunately, I left feeling more overlooked than valued.

I have adjusted my grip and swing multiple times to decrease my slice or hook. Finally, I listened to a good friend and took a lesson with Don. We had a 10:30 a.m. tee time and arrived with our 6-month-old sons in strollers. We have played at many golf courses throughout the San Jose area and have never once been turned away because we had our children with us. We understand the risks involved and have always complied with any course requirements. Upon arrival, the woman working at the front desk immediately informed us that children in strollers were not allowed on the course. Her attitude was dismissive from the start and made us feel completely unwelcome. When I asked where this policy was stated in the course rules, she admitted that it was not actually written anywhere. Instead, she explained that it was up to the discretion of the person working at the desk to decide who would be allowed to play. Rather than trying to help us or offer any reasonable solution, she was rude and made irrelevant comments such as, "This isn't baseball." We never suggested it was, and we made it clear that we fully understood the risks associated with bringing our children onto a golf course. Despite this, she refused to assist us in any way. I later spoke with the manager, Hay, regarding the situation. Unfortunately, he supported the employee's decision and attitude. He stated that children are not allowed on the course because of the risk of injury due to the course's "narrow" fairways. I explained that we have played a wide variety of courses, including many with short and narrow fairways, and have never been denied access. At other courses, we simply sign a waiver acknowledging the risks. He informed me that Sunken Gardens does not offer that option. What made this experience especially frustrating was not just the policy itself, but the way it was handled. We were treated as though we were unreasonable for wanting to enjoy a round of golf while introducing our children to the sport and spending time outdoors as a family. The entire interaction felt unwelcoming, dismissive, and unprofessional. As a result of this experience, I will not be booking any future tee times at Sunken Gardens Golf Course. I will also be sharing my experience with friends, family, and fellow golfers so they can make informed decisions before choosing to play here. Customer service and respectful communication matter, and unfortunately, Sunken Gardens failed in both areas.
