After ~2 years, I would say that I have been satisfied with my experience about 50% of the time enrolled and I am exploring new options for my children. Reasoning follows: 1. Staffing: constant turnover and short staffing lead inadequate teacher:child ratios. You will end up dropping off/picking up your child from different rooms and different faces frequently. Administration will not communicate staffing changes and deceptively leave up pictures of former staff on classroom boards. 2. Cleanliness: the 1-2 year old classroom has glue coming through the floorboards. It has been 6 months since first reported with no remedy. Do you want your kids crawling on this floor? (See picture). If you open the refrigerators or look in drawers or cabinets, you will be disgusted. Too many of the toys and books in the rooms are in very poor condition. 3. Learning Environment: It is difficult to provide a consistently rich learning environment when constantly short staffed and rotating through new faces. 4. Owner: She is rarely present except for when she is asking you for more money for one of her charitable tax write off initiatives.

After two months attending, we found out his hearing was temporarily affected from the fluid in his ears and he was scheduled for tubes surgery. Unfortunately because of the sickness, he only spent two full weeks in school out of the two months period. Before the tubes were even put into place, my son was kicked out of the school with teachers claiming he was possibly autistic and more than they could handle. I came to Goddard Chamblee with paperwork in hand that the previous school handed me with my tail tucked between my legs also terrified that they would agree and turn my son away. After a quick discussion and a glance at the paperwork, they agreed that no child should ever be left behind and that the previous school didn't even give my son a chance. My son has now been enrolled at Goddard Chamblee for two months and has hit more milestones and thriving more than he ever has anywhere else. The teachers are so loving, nurturing, and patient. They work with my son to ensure he's truly a part of the class and I can tell they genuinely care about him. Words cannot express how thankful I am for Goddard Chamblee. And special shoutout to Ms. Wendy who truly makes his classroom seem like home.

I was told everywhere from 9 months to 1.5 years. Because we didn't have 7-9 months to plan for a baby coming, our options were limited. My daughter started going here when she was 7 weeks old and she went until she was 11 months when we moved to NYC. The teachers were really great and my daughter seemed to really like it and didn't seem adverse to going. We stayed in NY for a year and when we got back, we enrolled her again. She loves her teachers. She talks about them all the time. The people who work here seem to really care about the kids. I also like the fact that everyone who works there knows the kids names even if they aren't in that class (pre k teachers knowing 2 year olds). The place is really clean and that's also important. The price is also fairly economical (compared to a lot of other places I had talked to) which helps. They only seem to have waiting lists for Pre K, but for infants and toddlers, they have an extra room so if they need to open it up to fix the teacher/student ratio they do.

Here they had no wait and the boys were able to start at a moments notice. The staff goes out of their way to help me bring the boys into the building in the morning and out to the car again when I pick them up. With the cold weather it's been so helpful and I appreciate them greatly. Not sure how many places would do that. The daycare thing is pretty new to us and leaving the boys for the first time was a bit nerve racking but now I know, with no doubt, that they are at one of the best Centers in town.

Although plans were put in place, the staff and administration failed to properly implement them, allowing these incidents to continue. As a result, my child now has a scar on her face that she will have forever, thanks to a child at this school who has harmed others as well. I removed my child after the final incident and reached out to at least receive a refund for the last month my daughter attended. I was told by the administration that the refund would be granted, but this never happened. I called corporate and have yet to receive a single call from the franchise owner, despite making it very clear that I wanted to speak with her. I have also filed a claim with the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning regarding this situation. If you're okay with being lied to, paying money for your child to be repeatedly hurt, and not even receiving a call from the owner to pretend she cares, this is the school for you.

From the very first day, it was evident that my son was not receiving the attention and care he deserved. Each time I picked him up, his face would be covered in old dried boogers, tears, and crust, indicating that he had been left crying and unattended for extended periods. It is absolutely unacceptable for a daycare to allow a child to remain in distress and discomfort without providing the necessary comfort and assistance. o The final straw came when my son clutched onto me with fear and anxiety as I attempted to leave him at the daycare. A child should be happy to go to daycare where there are other kids to play with! This level of distress clearly indicates the detrimental effect this daycare had on my child's emotional well-being. Shockingly, the director showed no concern whatsoever when I expressed my decision to withdraw my child after just four days. This lack of reaction suggests that such neglectful incidents are a regular occurrence at this facility and that the turnover rate is high! Furthermore, my son developed Pink Eye after attending this daycare, which is alarming since he had never Pink Eye before. It strongly suggests that proper cleaning and hygiene practices are non-existent within the daycare's premises. The health and safety of the children should be of utmost priority. Let this review serve as a warning! The level of neglect, disregard for a child's emotional well-being, and apparent lack of hygiene is appalling. Our children deserve a safe, nurturing, and caring environment, which is clearly lacking at this establishment. Ms. Maddox was there to greet us at the door on our first day and even gave me a small gift as a token of appreciation. At first my 3 year old was unsure of what to think of her new environment, but she adjusted quickly and has loved her school ever since. What I appreciate most about this school is the level of concern that Ms. Maddox and Ms. Givens show to every family. When we step into the building, every teacher / grandmother volunteer greets us with a warm welcome by name. Most importantly, my child's day is packed with creative, educational activities. There is not a second where the students are left with nothing to do (this was a major concern for me at her previous school, as this creates chaos in the classroom). I also appreciate that the school makes an effort on a regular basis to encourage parental involvement through fun projects and homework assignments. Though she and her classmates are only three and four years old, the teachers still provide advanced-level education that is still age appropriate. Every Wed. the kids take Spanish, and they regularly get science and history lessons, and are expected to stand up and present during Show 'n' Tell. I love the level of detail put into ensuring that my child has a well-rounded learning environment. For example, the students are expected to sign in each day so that they learn to recognize their names. The teachers are also required to read a minimum of two books to the students each day. The kids are provided with fresh cooked, healthy meals each day (not anything from a can or that contains a bunch of sugar). Overall, I love ASOE. I have not had any major concerns with this school's operations. This is the best decision that I could have made for my child and her future.

If we were still in Atlanta, my children would have attended until they were able to attend elementary school. Very impressed with the staff and the curriculum!
