my experience at parkwood was alright, i experienced some rudeness from certain staff members, and…read morealso outstanding kindness from a few workers. my main issue is not getting my stuff back that i had put in a box when i was admitted. they didn't give it back to me when i was discharged, and after i called multiple times they said they did not have it. that seems pretty unprofessional to me and id hope you all would think so too. some of the nurses were rude and ignored our requests, while some others were kind to us. i just don't really know how to leave a review on this place because it's so all over the place. i would NOT recommend sending your child here, or if you're an adult i would not reccomend coming here because of the unprofessional quality of the staff. one staff member dragged me out of the bathroom while i was having a panic attack and sobbing and said, "get in the hallway, you can't do that in here!" without even caring to ask if i was okay or not. do not send anyone here as it is a fiasco and no one knows how to do their job other than like 3 staff. i remember a patient was throwing food in the hallway and one of the staff was treating her like an animal. they told me "act like a donkey, get treated like a donkey" and that's when i knew they did not care about their patients. i really have no words for this place honestly.

I have been shocked by the inappropriate and careless things this woman has said to my wife at her appointments. She invalidated my wife's feelings. "I don't see why you are depressed." She continuously talked over my wife when she tried to share about her mental health. When she heard about my father's BPII diagnosis, life struggles, and eventual suicide she said: "I'm surprised he waited that long" and "When you hear about that you don't even feel sorry for them" This woman is supposed to provide a trusted, safe space for people seeking help with sensitive issues. She has repeatedly shown she is incapable of providing this space for people. When my wife decided to stop seeing her we thought we were rid of this awful woman. But no. When she saw Kara's review she called to confront and gaslight her. "I never said those things." And "That's not what I meant" I am absolutely dumbfounded by this woman's behavior. Calling your mental health patient to bully and harass them for a Yelp review??? Bottom line. Audria Black is a danger to Memphis. I am currently drafting a letter of complaint to the Tennessee Board of Examiners in Psychology as well as filing a complaint with the Tennessee Department of Health against Dr. Black. This woman needs to be held accountable for her behavior.

I was having another issue with my wife and bound and determine not to send her to delta but our…read morelocal hospital went over my head for one thing I didn't have a power of attorney. But in a few days I learned they have lost her glasses then her shoes. Another thing I learned you need a patient code to talk about that person well I did have a code and in few days one worker said that wasn't the code. And there was other things that I didn't like. So when I got the call that she was ready so made the trip which took me 2 hours then I got down there they told me the social worker wasn't feeling too good when she made the call. I told them I want my wife out of there and stood my ground and they knew I wasn't budging. They also told me not to give her medication and I thought that was weird cause I knew she needed some of her medication and after we got home that evening I started to give her medication she improved. I also learned that I need a power of attorney if this situation comes again. I also told a worker there that alot of those workers need to be fired. I also will be giving there a claim for her glasses which will be $600 as for her shoes not sure how much they cost. But I will be doing the claim. This is a very bad place. I also heard from Amy's Dr that she has known about this place as well I also notice other people has shared bad reviews.
