The General manager at the detox center is Mr. Court Nichols. He is a genuine, caring, and loving guy. He cares for us as individuals not because he gets paid to but because he is one of us. Sometimes the best kind of love is tough love and he is willing to do that for us as people, patients, clients, users, and abusers. If you ask me, that's more than enough to motivate someone to want to change for themselves, family, and loved ones. I never gave a review on the others, but this place is different. The admission was easy, and they will assist with essential outside appointments and transportation. This is his first time giving the holistic approach a chance and he seems to love it! He's heard the 12-step group talks and big books talks so much in the past that he could probably teach a course without guidance, and yet it never sticks... the holistic approach is helping him heal, mind and body. I visited this hospital twice while my friend was recovering from surgery. It happened to be during…read morethe World Cup, so there were some fun football-themed decorations throughout the facility. The check in process was straightforward. Visitors sign in at the front desk, receive a visitor sticker, and then take the elevator to the appropriate floor. The facility appeared clean and well maintained. Like most hospitals, there was a constant beeping of medical equipment, which is to be expected. My friend's room was comfortable, with a private bathroom, and her assigned nurse checked on her regularly. I also appreciated the whiteboard in the room listing the nurse, doctor, and other important information. One thing I wish they had was a water fountain or water bottle filling station on each floor for visitors. It would also be helpful if patient rooms had a small refrigerator for storing leftovers or cold drinks. The biggest disappointment was how my friend's food allergy was handled. She has a documented allergy to green beans, and it was clearly noted in her medical chart and communicated to the nursing staff. Despite this, the kitchen repeatedly served her green beans during her week-long stay. That was both concerning and frustrating. Since she was recovering from surgery and had limited mobility, I had to notify the nurse each time so the meal could be replaced. While the staff corrected the mistake, it should not have happened repeatedly. Food allergies should be taken seriously in a hospital setting, and I hope they improve communication between the kitchen and the medical staff to prevent this from happening to future patients. Overall, the facility and staff were good, but better attention to dietary restrictions would make a significant difference.

There were things I knew I had buried so deep down in my subconscious I had forgotten about them. I was ready to finally face things in my life and have the peace filled life that I know God intended for me. The scan very specifically identified things that I had buried deeply for years. It showed me how I was crippling myself with shame. Then it shows you when you start to make progress how your mindset is changing. Melanie was an absolutely amazing person to do the scan with. She walked me through it gently and kindly, never making me feel uncomfortable. I always felt like I was in a safe environment to be real. It is very different than any normal therapy session but it is so much better and more intentional. It took me two scans before I felt like I finally had some break through where I could begin to start working things on my own. The amazing thing about the scan is it helped me to recognize bad patterns that I had been believing and telling myself. These were leading to unhealthy relationships with my husband and how I viewed sex. Through it I have been able to recognize those patterns and turn them over to Jesus in surrender and he is so faithful to meet me there. I definitely encourage anyone who is struggling with any kind of trauma (even if you think its small, because I felt like mine wasn't a big enough deal to need counseling) to look into the EVOX scan and see how it can help you find that peace you are looking for.
