7/11/26 around 6pm I went here and won a small chest from one of the claw machines to the left between the front door and service desk. When I opened it there was a note inside. My younger sister and I were so excited about it we didn't give it a second thought and brought it right up to the counter. The woman at the counter gave us the points and said she'd text her manager about the note inside. We played for another 30 minutes or so and went back to the counter. She told us our point total and I asked if her manager had texted her back. She said they did, then "ha ha very funny" which caught me off guard. I realize now that it was a prank by whoever had the chest before, but I responded apologetically even though the attitude confused me. She told us something along the lines of "yeah well it's not real" like we were annoying her. She walked away while we were trying to just move on and choose our prizes. Another woman came to help us. The entire interaction left me feeling humiliated and incredibly insulted. I asked a question. I didn't deserve that. Disgusting experience. read more

First time visiting the Treasure Island Fun Center since I originally was a regular at the former location at Treasure Island. They have special deals for the card play purchases which is nice!! The entire place is very exciting and colorful with a huge array of games for all ages!! Nice little concession stand inside with quick food and drinks!! They also have a nice variety of prizes to choose from the ticket winnings from all the games!!! My daughter had a great time there today and we look forward to visiting again sometime!!! read more

Amazing place my family has been going for generations we always have fun. It is a little expensive but they always have great prizes

The Groupon deal was a good deal and the place was in fairly good shape. The kids had a good time. I didn't eat anything since we were only there for about 2 hours. The complaint I have is the deal was only good for regular video games, not games you could win tickets with and I'm good with the removal of prizes but unfortunately that ruled out a LOT of games. Games you wouldn't even think were ticket related.... like Skeeball or jumbo Pac Man. I understand they don't want folks to get tickets for merchandise but I'm sure there is a way to program the cards to not accumulate points instead of not letting people play the games altogether. read more

I wanted to take the time to update my review of this business. I see this establishment has taken steps to improve the service and customer experience. The machines now have been upgraded with new systems that will allow the user to view their real time balance as they swipe their game cards. Also after some investigation, customers are welcomed to review a computer generated itemized report of their entire account activity. The food bar has also upgraded to include a pizza oven and the staff will prepare pizza to order and have stopped using frozen premade food. I bought a Groupon voucher as we had 2 hours to kill before getting into our rental. I was skeptical this place was going to be sketchy. It ended up being money very well spent. The 2 year old and 4 year old had a great time. Although like all arcades they had some dated games, they actually had a great selection of newer ones far exceeding my expectations. I like to hang out here before going on the party fishing boats., as I come early for the fishing boat to reserve a good spot then have some time to hang around. They also have beer! So much for the myth that alcohol impairs reaction time as it really doest effect my scores on the games at all. I am writing this review based on visiting five arcades in the area: Chuck E. Cheese-Clearwater, Chuck E. Cheese-St. Petersburg, Treasure Island Fun Center, Xtreme Fun Center and Celebration Station. Chuck E. Cheese-Clearwater wins. I base my review on a family-friendly budget. Here is my run down of Treasure Island Fun Center compared to other places: Treasure Island Fun Center- 4 stars- Our go-to place, as it is closer to our house and they have extremely nice staff. The games are costly in this arcade. For example, my boys played Jurassic park and it cost $1.75 per player to start the game and $.75 to continue the game per player. So I spent $5.00 on this game alone in 4-5 minutes. The cheap games are the 80s games I played as a child. I love Treasure Island Fun Center, but the best games are costly. This place is huge and has a lot of games. I love it, but steer my kids toward the cheaper, outdated games. As for the other places: Chuck E. Cheese-Clearwater- 5 stars-This place is based on play time or play points. I bought $18 for my kids to play for 56 minutes, which the manager informed me that both my kids can use the same card. It was very clean, nice staff and tons of games played (about 40 games played). Also, my boys were able to get three toys at the end. I felt my money was well spent and I am very happy with the experience. The staff looked overworked, though. I spent $18 for over an hour of fun. Chuck E. Cheese- St. Petersburg- 4 stars- needs to be updated, but is bigger than the one in Clearwater. The staff looked overworked and parking was hard to find, but it was a nice experience. I spent more money, because play time was not available only points. It is a good place, but play points would be a good addition and it is in a hard location to get to (uncontrollable). Xtreme Fun Center- 3 stars- This place is very limited. There is barely any parking and games. This is a laser tag and batting cage place. It is not really an arcade. A nice place and staff, but VERY limited. Also, they only take cash. Celebration Station- 3 stars- This place rocks, as it has everything you could ever dream of in one place- Laser tag, video games, go-carts, bumper boats, putt-putt golf, BUT is very expensive and outdated. The good games are overpriced and the facility is very outdated. I loved this place back int he day, but it needs to be updated to garner the amount of money it is asking for. Again, I love this place, but unless you are ready to drop $50 per child, it is not affordable for a family budget. Upon arrival to the location, it seamed outdated, not to busy. It has its own private parking lot which was very good. I went for. Birthday party, i had my 3 year old girl and a newborn. The party package had 2 hours of unlimited play and $5.00 in play. At first i thought that was a great deal but they didnt have games that my 3 year could play in the unlimited section. My husband played most of the games with her. Even when i tried some of the games, i wasnt interested in the games in the unlimited option. The games that you paid for were better but the $5.00 were gone in minutes. Unlimited games were arcade games like pacman, street fighter and race car games. Money games that you can get tickets for prices were skee ball, basket ball shooter thing. They have food and its includes pizza and drinks. The bathrooms were nice and clean. I think my daughter was way too young for it but the 5 year old birthday boy was having the time of his life. Absolutely horrible experience! The assistant manager refused to make our two pizzas that came with a package so we were over charged. When we brought it to their attention that we wanted the $14 diff back or comped in play he ripped a sign off the front counter and started cussing my fiance and myself out in front of our minor children and multiple families as they watched him scream he was the F-ing manager and he was not dealing with this BS (vulgar language used). He proceeded to violently put his hands in between our heads pointing while screaming before storming off and grabbing the wooden doors and and almost breaking them off while cussing us out. I went around the corner and told him I was not going to be spoke to that way and I would call the cops bc there are cameras and was told to do it, he didn't f ing care, he had been doing this for 25 years and we could f-off! All of this in front of 30 or more minor children including my 4 yr old son and 12 year old daughter. We will be speaking to the GM tomorrow which is the real manager he faked that he was. Do not waste your time on this trashy dump. It's a rip off and they are rude and I am appalled at the lack of leadership and respect shown to my family while vacationing. read more

This place was a blast!! Lots of fun games to pick from and the best part is you don't have to carry around all the tickets, they go right into your card. It is very reasonable pricing, they even toss in extra money into your card. There are a lot of little kid rides for only 25 cents a ride, my son couldn't get enough of it. In hindsight I think it would have been better to just buy a regular play card because the one included with the Groupon deal was only certain games (mostly car games and very old arcade games). We went for a birthday party. Whoa the unlimited arcade wrist bands had me wishing it was closer for my own daughter's birthday party. There were extra, so I got to play. The staff was friendly, and accommodating. There were a ton of games, and many of the little girls at the party won lots of tickets. I won two jackpots at two different games, and all the other little girls won at least one jackpot of tickets somewhere. I'm not sure if they can control the game formulas, but it definitely made our experience better, and hasn't happened at other arcades. I will definitely suggest, and go as soon as I am in the area again. read more

I saw some bad reviews, so I thought Id chime in; not sure what they were expecting, but this arcade is above average. Its clean and has snacks, has a hand wash station for kids, personal pizza and coke for $6, pinball with working flippers (cmon)! The games are a mix of old and new...your toddlers up to teenagers will love this place! The .25 ferris wheel from days of old is worth checking out on its own. We walked in didn't look pleasing to the eye but we thought we would give it a chance. Then it all started going down hill from there, for starters they have really bad customer service the employees are very rude and not helpful and act like your annoying them when you ask them a question. Don't bother eating here it's basically overpriced school cafeteria food plus it was burnt and took forever to get. Then all then games are old, broken or steals tokens and money. After all the effort and pain in the ass when you go you're token and all their prizes are garbage/thrift store looking crap!!!! We came here on a rainy weekday with my daughter, and it was a perfect way to kill a few hours. We were able to purchase a wristband that allowed us unlimited play on all of the non-ticket games for 90 minutes, and we also bought 100 tokens for $20 to play the ticketed games. They had a bunch of old school arcade games, but 2 of the 3 pinball machines were down, and the 3rd only half worked, which was disappointing. We got pizza for my daughter, which wasn't bad, especially considering where we were. When we're at home, we'd normally go to Dave and Busters, which has a lot more going on, but for a local arcade, you really can't beat this place! read more

I took my 6 year old son here and we both had a great 2 hours for $20. There are plenty of games with different skill levels and the prizes they will win are on par or slightly better than Chucky Cheese prizes. As far as video games, if you want to play a modern looking game, expect to pay 4 tokens. Most games that you want to play cost at least 2 tokens. Old games like pacman, galaga, and slightly newer like Simpsons arcade game are 1 token. The bright spot is that $20 gives you 100 tokens, so it works out. This is the only review I have ever felt the need to write, and unfortunately it will probably be the worst. My husband and I took my son (who is Autistic) to the fun center earlier this week for a early birthday celebration, I'm a local and have been going there for YEARS, that's why it pains me to write this review, as I stated earlier my son has autism and sometimes gets overwhelmed by loud noises and lights but he LOVES arcades and video games, unfortunately he got frightened by a machine and had a little melt down nothing crazy, a pretty common thing that happens in a arcade with lots of children, as I got him to calm down I overhear two of the workers (I believe the one girls name started with a "K" and the other was Emily) over at the ticket counter laughing and mocking him and even went as far as talking about my parenting skills to each other, I was completely dumbfounded that this was happening in a place that I felt so comfortable bringing my family too. I hope they do better at hiring better suited staff, unfortunately this place has forever lost my business. read more
