They didn't do anything either other than a CXR. Patient First Clinton MD. said they could not drain the fluid in my elbow because they do not do that at Patient First Clinton MD. Ok but you're Urgent Care. Anyway Patient First Clinton MD. recommended OrthoVirginia specifically the Walker Lane office. I was told they're really good and could remove the fluid. Even when I made the appointment, the representative said call OrthoVirginia Walker Lane and make sure the doctor can remove the fluid. I called the office and a staffer told me the doctor can remove the fluid. When I got there to sign in I should have known this was going to be a mess when another patient came out yelling how rude one of the staffer was to her. When the doctor came in she said she doesn't do that. If she sticks a needle in there it could get infected or may return. I wanted to say well why did a staffer say you could remove the fluid? But I was dumbfounded and speechless I just listen to what she had to say. She told me the fluid will go away on its own to buy a paddle elbow sleeve. Mind you the fluid in my elbow has collected so much that it looks like a plum on the inside of my elbow. I wasted my time and money at both Patient First in Clinton MD and OrthoVirginia Walker Lane. Paying co-pays to both places for them to do nothing but take my money. It cost me $100 to buy a $12 padded elbow sleeve. I don't recommend OrthoVirginia Walker Lane.

I'm currently on month ten since an injury and Dr. Asomugha is the second doctor I've been to, and…read morethe only one who was able to actually identify a problem and solve it. Wasn't thrilled the solution required surgery, but I am about 10 weeks post surgery and working on getting myself back to normal. I have a pretty long recovery ahead still, but am beyond grateful for Dr. Asomugha and her team. OrthoVirginia is fantastic. Everyone on the staff has been helpful and kind, explained everything I needed and even very patiently spoke to my parents to explain to them what was going on. After about two months of visits, Dr. Asomugha recommended surgery. I am a little over two months since surgery and while I'm still not back to 'normal' life, the (minimal) exercises I am cleared to do in PT are pain free - I am so very optimistic about having a pain free future and getting back to working out again in the near future. In one of my post op appointments, my scar looked hideous and was making me nauseous and she handled my being a giant baby like a charm and told me a story of her having a similar moment, so I felt a lot better about my small freak out. When I had a (non-related to surgery, but in the area) problem, she immediately made time for me, gave me her personal phone number and genuinely showed concern for my issue, even though it didn't have anything to do with her surgery. She truly cares about her patients and their well being. I am so grateful for finding Dr. A online and her team. I have been to both the Duke St. and Walker Lane locations and the staff at both is extraordinarily friendly. Wait times are small, I am always seen within 5 minutes of my appointment time and I never feel rushed, but don't feel like the appointments drag on. I 100000% recommend Dr. A for anyone having leg/ankle/foot issues - I hope that after I am done recovering I never have to use her again, but will in a heartbeat if I ever tear something again. She is an amazing surgeon and a truly fantastic doctor.

The physician's assistant asked all the right questions and I was able to get x-rays on-site. Dr. Asomugha is friendly and thoroughly professional. Everyone involved in the appointment, including the front desk staff and the medical scribe who took notes during the appointment, was professional and the care was coordinated well. We were talking about what it's like to go to one of those in-network PT farms where a 22 year old is loosely overseeing your exercises while also attending to several other patients in a large open area that all feels slightly chaotic and, to be honest, just a little bit sus lol. Core Wellness is not that place. If you can afford it, just go here. They have highly experienced staff who give you dedicated, one on one attention for the full hour and they take a holistic approach to solving your issue -- really listening; asking good follow up questions each session and pivoting as needed; explaining what's going on at all times and how different issues might be connected; working on your muscles with different techniques instead of just giving you basic exercises to do by yourself that you could have found online; etc. I saw Kelly and she is one of those healthcare professionals you wish all providers were like. My husband saw her as well last year and felt the same. Anyway, 5 stars, no notes.

I previously had the same surgery on my right foot with a different orthopedic surgeon, and the recovery was extremely long and painful. Because of that experience, I was honestly nervous going into this procedure. However, Dr. Schipper completely changed my expectations. The difference in recovery compared to my prior surgery was night and day. Dr. Schipper is not only highly skilled but also very kind and reassuring. He takes time to explain everything and makes you feel prepared and comfortable before surgery. The office staff is also wonderful -- responsive, organized, and supportive throughout the entire process. You can truly tell he is very experienced in this procedure. Previously, my brother lived on his own, drove a car and went to activities like lunch at the local senior center. However, since the surgery, he has become incoherent, confused and spends his days in a wheelchair at a nursing home. The nursing home staff recommends that he be placed in long-term care. My brother was released from the hospital and admitted to a local nursing home for rehab on August 22. I called Dr. Martinelli's office to voice my concerns about my brother's condition and was placed on hold for about 20 minutes. I conveyed my concerns to his assistant who answered the phone. Dr. Martinelli did call me back a couple of times, saying he was busy and would try me another time. My brother is a wreck, thanks to this disastrous surgery and the cavalier follow-up from the doctor's office. I regret that my brother had the surgery and would not recommend Dr. Martinelli or his staff to anyone.
