My physical therapist is great! Jessie G. explains every step and does her best to provide undivided attention to her patients. The only gripe I have is with calling the facility to set up an initial appointment. It tooks 3 weeks because the front desk rep never answered to phone. I thought the location was closed. But my PCP told me that usually she sends everyone to Pivot in Alexandria, so I gave it one more shot before deciding to change my referral and they picked up! They offer therapy services (PT, OT, speech language pathology, etc.), athletic training (concussion rehabilitation and management, etc.), performance & fitness (1:1 training, group fitness classes, etc.), and specialty services (CHT, TPI, FMS, IASTM, etc.). I was referred to Pivot Physical Therapy from my neurosurgeon, and I have been extremely happy! I am so fortunate to find Duy, as he is the best physical therapist that I have worked with! He is a total expert and works with you toward your goals - in addition, he is very patient, personable, super kind, and has a great sense of humor! His massages are the best, and I always look forward to those! The sessions go by quickly but are personalized and pretty intense; I always leave feeling better than before. The only gripe I have is with scheduling or rescheduling - it can be kind of a pain, as if you don't schedule in-person in the office, your call is directed to a main scheduling center so access to the master schedule and making double-booked sessions can't be done; by the time you go in-person, most slots are filled up. The place is open early as well as late to accommodate those with tight work schedules. I also like the fact that the scheduled appointment times are always met, and there never is a wait! I phoned Pivot thinking they were still in Spotsylvania, VA, which I'd stated on the call. Appointments were made and they sent the paperwork via email. My appointment was made quickly, so I received a confirmation phone call before I'd filled out the paperwork and am very thankful because the lady on the phone mentioned it was in Alexandria. I asked her to cancel all of the appointments I'd made because I wasn't interested in traveling that far, and my doctor and I thought they were still in Spotsy for what I needed. I never filled out the paperwork they sent. A few days later I received a confirmation for my next appointment, which I'd cancelled, so I called and let them know I would not be coming to them for therapy due to the location. I was told all appointments were cancelled for the 2nd time, and I requested an email stating this. A third time, when I was on the way home from my PT at a different practice, I got a call saying I MISSED an appointment. Mortified, because I've never missed an appointment for anything to my recollection, I told the lady on the phone (who I'd spoken to a few times now) that I cancelled all of the appointments. For the 2nd time she told me that yes, she remembered speaking to me and would cancel them all. I've now been told three times by Pivot they cancelled all of my appointments. If I can Give zero 0 star I will from the front desk to the physiotherapists. Young people on the front desk and very unprofessional, not able to give you the right information. They don't know how to treats and approach a customer. The physical therapist BRANDON SHEEHAN very unprofessional guy! He had 3 people at the same time doing my physical therapy and he was not paying attention how I was doing if wrong or right. My appointment supposed to start 5pm and always started late pm and finish by 5:30. I was basically doing the same thing every time I went there. Waste of money and time. I also had 2 times appointment with Desiree (Assistant physical therapist) and one day Bradon changed and cancelled the appointment I had with her and put with him without asking me anything before. Bradon is trying to have many people in the same times and if not he super quick with you. He doesn't really care about your broken ankle!!! IF he does this to make more money doing physiotherapist wit 2-3 people at the same time, he should know this is illegal and not professional way to work. He doesn't care about you. read more

I was very impressed with the location's convenience, staff friendliness, and most importantly...results! I would recommend this location to anyone seeking physical therapy for sports injuries, range of motion challenges, and the like. First, for anyone living in the western part of Alexandria, the location is very convenient with plenty of parking in the Shoppes at Foxchase. Although the office may appear small, the staff makes great use of the square footage resulting in both a friendly and fun experience. From the first visit, the staff knows your name, your therapeutic needs, and just how much they can challenge you as you begin your recovery. After a brief discussion on my first visit, the staff member actually pulled out a laptop to show me an image of what was likely happening as she explained what my recovery program would include. Over the course of a few weeks, shoulder range of motion was increased gradually through stretching and strengthening exercises combined with moderate massage. After approximately a month, there was far less pain and range of motion was significantly better. In all, I was very impressed and would highly recommend Kelly, Meagan, Logan, and Dwee at this Pivot location! read more

This is my 2nd round of PT at this location. All the staff are very compentent and friendly! My primary therapist has been Jenny and she had been great to work with. She knows how to push me on my exercises but is very receptive to adapting them when I am in pain. I followed my therapist Megan to the Alexandria location from another location much closer to my home. It's because I recognize she's a talented physical therapist. She is superb at massages and working the shoulder. In my case, it was rehab from rotator cuff surgery. I've made amazing progress in a relatively short period of time. PT isn't easy stuff. It's always an uphill, often uncomfortable march. Megan just made everything more pleasant with her skill. read more

All staff at this location are very competent and super friendly. They are very attentive and patient with my 86 year old mother. They take their job very seriously but are down to earth and keep the atmosphere light. Competent and friendly staff gave me the tools I needed to work on problem I was having with bursitis in my hip. Their focus was not only on fixing the given problem, but to educate me on how I could avoid and repeat of the problem in the future. I have had some less than ideal PT in the past so I was a little hesitant when the doctor suggested this. But I am glad I did because I have a much better understanding of what is going on and how to prevent it happening in the future. read more

Over the years I've had therapy for several injuries, and I have to say I'm having a great experience with my therapy at Pivot in Alexandria. Megan is my therapist and she really knows what I need for my problem. I have total confidence in her and look forward to my appointments. I also like that I do my assigned exercises there as well as at home because the therapy assistants (Logan and Dui) watch and give feedback to make sure I'm doing them correctly. I would highly recommend this branch of Pivot to anyone seeking therapy after knee replacement surgery. The staff are knowledgeable and painstaking. They are meticulous in reviewing one's medical history so that they can design an exercise program catered to one's particular needs. The location is excellent for anyone living in the Alexandria area, the facilities are clean and hygienic, and the attitude of the staff is warm and friendly. My doctor had prescribed a second round of therapy after my six-month check-up appointment and I had no hesitation in opting to return to this branch of Pivot. I am happy to report that after just four weeks of therapy I am finally pain-free and am sure that at my next check-up my doctor will be happy with the progress made.
