I had to force the issue of effectively treating the situation and it still took them 10 days before they bothered to do the correct treatment that should have been done on postop day 2. This borders on malpractice. Secondly, when I was asked, I told them that I expected to be walking without a cane after surgery. I had been forced to use a cane for about 5-6 years prior to surgery due to safety concerns and the need to preserve what I could of being able to use the knee. My expectation of being able to walk normally was completely ignored. Instead, when I tried to walk without the cane, I was told to keep using the cane. This continued throughout my entire time in rehab. Somehow they thought that using the cane was going to help me be able to walk without it. Even I don't think that's right!! This means that I couldn't really walk when they decided to dismiss me from their care. They didn't care about getting to the correct place; all they cared about was that I could stand and waddle around a little with the cane. That is not good rehabilitation. It is coming up on a year since my surgery and I still cannot walk normally because they never appropriately addressed the problems in my hips that were caused by the use of the cane. Basically they expected me to figure it out on my own. I am going to have to go to a different doctor (not one who is part owner of this facility) and a different PT place in order to get proper medical care. I find that disgusting. I will never recommend this PT facility to anyone. At this point I am unsure if I will ever be able to return to my sport. They do not care about performance. Do they even know what that word means? They only care about money.

As a patient, I don't think I should be put in the middle of a disagreement between my physician and my therapist. Another concern was the lack of consistency in my care. I was treated by different therapists, and each seemed to have different opinions, different treatment plans, and different exercise recommendations. It was confusing and made it difficult to feel confident that everyone was working toward the same goals. I wasn't told when I scheduled I wouldn't just be with one therapist. In my past with different clinics I had always been seen by the same physical therapist throughout. The gold standard of care. I expected better communication, coordination, and respect for my care and physician's instructions. Patients benefit most when their healthcare providers work together rather than giving conflicting advice. I spoke with the owner and it seems they may be short on therapists and overbooked.

The care and treatment I received from the Physical therapist as well as the office manager was above exceptional. I received excellent care and treatment for the rehabilitation ofy shoulder after a slap tear fix and then car of my knee after having a repair done. The exercises taught in office and then done at home were successful in getting both shoulder and knee back to full use with in the 6 to 8 week treatment time . I feel that both are stronger then they were even pre surgery. .I was taught exercises to help stretch and strengthen the areas and feel they are easy to do at home which has allowed me to return to playing pickleball which was the goal.

Look, if they are booked and don't want my business that is fine, but have the common friggin courtesy to call me back and tell me. I have been sitting here, wanting to get started on PT and they have no respect for anyone. I have since found another qualified PT group who actually called me back in like 5 minutes. KU Sports Medicine has gone the way of its basketball program, right down the tubes.

The only reason why I am not leaving a 5 star review is that their services are VERY expensive. If you've got good insurance then that shouldn't be a problem but I mine has a very high deductible so I did have to pay a significant amount of money out of pocket for the physical therapy. I've wasted hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars with physicians, podiatrists, and physical therapists for help with chronic plantar fasciitis and Achilles pain. None was able, or even interested in, getting to the root cause of my foot problems. The analysis that Dr. Dischinger conducted was far more thorough than I'd experienced previously, and the interventions/exercises made it clear that he had identified the source of the issue. My…read morefriend Doug talked to me for weeks about how much his chronic back and hip pain had decreased since starting PT. He also mentioned Dry Needling, which I hadn't heard of, though I had tried Acupuncture before. (Let me tell you, acupuncture and dry needling couldn't be more different. If you have knots in your muscles, you MUST try dry needling!) Because of my chronic back pain, I was nearly immobile and damn near bedridden. I had Degenerative Disc Disease in my L5-S1 disc, sciatica pain which ran down my glutes ask the way to my feet. I had tried physical therapy before, but I didn't like that he therapy at other PTs was not one on one appointments. My therapist was always bouncing between me and 3 other patients at a time. My first appointment was with Ethan McCoy. It was a one on one session which started with needling. I got worse from physical therapy the last time I tried it, so I had NO intention of doing PT beyond dry needling. But Ethan talked to me about the necessity to "get moving" and said he could help me. I reluctantly scheduled some appointments for PT and I've never been more happy with that decision. I went from having deflated, atrophied muscles throughout my entire body to now down 28 pounds from consistent exercise multiple times a week and walking everyday, and I'm now showing more fun, lean muscle mass. Ethan and the staff and their support has completely changed my outlook on physical therapy. I went from barely being able to walk a few city blocks to walking up to 4-5 miles a day. Ethan has taught me the importance of consistency of movement. He's been my biggest cheerleader when it comes to my workout progress. He helped me get into shape before I had Disc Replacement Surgery on August 1, 2020. He continues to help me post-surgery while my doctors are working to continue to find solutions to my pain. I am forever grateful for Trumove and the immense changes in me since I first walked into their doors. I couldn't have done it without Ethan McCoy. I walk in twice a week to the smiles and welcomed from Kenny and Taiwan. I've literally never met a nicer staff than everyone who is employed at Trumove.
