I'm writing this review for an entry to a 10 day trip to the maldives. JUST KIDDING! there is no trip to the Malldives, but this is a long overdue review. I'm a fairly active person (endurance running, spinning, boxing, megareformers you name it) and also extremely injury prone.. that combined with all the repetitive stress, my body is not the happiest with me at times, from back stiffness to mobility & joint issues. Dino has fixed me up time and time again. I started going to Dr. D awhile back when I was diagnosed by another doctor as achilles tendonitis. After forking out a ton of money on physical therapy sessions from that other doctor, tons of acupuncturist appointments and not getting any better, I started looking on yelp and found Dino, and I'm thankful I did. Just shortly after a few sessions and applying the exercises that he recommended, I was back to running pain free.. Dino genuinely cares, listens, takes the time to explain the treatment,and always patiently answers the 80 thousand questions that I have. In addition to being an phenomenal doc, he's an athlete himself and also a NASM Master Trainer, the guy seriously knows his shit. I work out quite a bit (crossfit, gym classes, running) as well as sit in front of a computer for 10 hours a day, so I was looking for a chiropractor to keep me in tip top shape. First impressions: nice reception area: bright and inviting. The overall office space is pretty big with two chiropractic therapy rooms, a massage room, a rehab room, and the front desk/reception area. Chiropractor: Dr. Dino was professional and asked what was bothering me. I told him about my constant neck and shoulder tension. Not only did he take care of that but also gave me some exercises and stretches to keep the pain away. Overall, everyone in the office was happy and welcoming and I would definitely come back to see Dr Dino. Easily a 5 star place! read more

Dr Dino is fantastic. He is very intuitive and knowledgable, especially for sports and repetitive stress related injury or pain. I am a hiker and runner, and I first went to their clinic with a hip pain and numbness in my foot. I had been to several PT offices , and it did not solve the problem. Instead, several recommended X-ray, etc. Dr Dino was very good about understanding the root cause, suggest a few exercises to strengthen key areas. I was relieved of the pain, numbness and was able to continue with my usual runs and hikes. Great service and timely appointments too. read more

Met with Dr. Blue the first day and he was friendly, but more importantly, knowledgeable. He correctly suspected the correct source of pain I had been having (which had been misdiagnosed by another doctor several months earlier). I then got the chance to work with Dr. Dino and Olivia and they were both awesome! I worked with them for a couple of months and they were always friendly and very clearly knew what they were doing. Dr. Dino to the rescue again! I've seen Dr. D. several times for reoccurring neck and back issues from sitting at a computer all day. I went in when my neck was literally burning, it hurt so bad. He worked his magic and I felt so much better almost immediately. He does some muscle work/massage (feels so good!) stretching, adjusting and exercises. I think the exercise/physical therapy is the big difference with him. He's not trying to keep you coming back in pain. He provides the tools via exercises and stretches to help your body heal. He's great! Coincidentally, I saw Dr. Blue at his Santa Clara office several years ago and he's a wonderful doctor. I honestly avoid doctors like the plague, unless I'm practically dying or can barely function, so when I went to see Dr. Blue, he was very thorough, kind, and knowledgeable. I felt comfortable. Dr. Dino is much more than a chiropractor. He takes the time to learn and understand what each patient's problems are and discusses his ideas and findings with them in depth. He not only adjusts patients, but applies soft tissue, stretching and exercise therapies that lead to faster recovery and healing from pain. Rather than going through the traditional route of pain management (doctor, cortisone, physical therapy, doctor again, another cortisone shot, and no relief), make an appt with him first. I have been to a LOT of chiropractors and NONE of them have ever taken the approach that VQSSC (now PTR) takes. They don't just give you a little massage and an adjustment, send you on your way, and tell you to come back 3 times a week for the next 3 months. I went yesterday and my legs are SORE today from the exercises that Dr. D prescribed for me to do every day. They make you realize that in order for your condition to improve, you have to be an active participant AFTER you leave their office! How novel! Dr. D is very sweet and caring and invested in outcomes. I'm so glad I found this sports-centered clinic so that I can get back to Crossfit after being out for so long with back problems! Update: I have now seen Lisa as well as Dino and I can say with confidence that I would gladly go to either for my chiropractic care! They are BOTH fantastic and effective. :D read more

I saw Dr. Blue as my primary doctor. While there he told me about how there is a physical therapy / chiropractic clinic as well. I was interested as I have been having back problems caused by a broken rib. I saw Dr. Dino Del Mastro in late November and I have been going back every week since. This is exactly what I needed to get my back recovered. He provides the traditional chiropractic treatment, loosening and adjusting me. While at the same time his assistant Olivia would help me with exercises to strengthen select muscle groups to alleviate pain. Both Dr. Del Mastro and Olivia are incredibly personable and I always look forward to my visits. So far I couldn't be happier as I am seeing progress on my recovery and I am getting a great set of tailored exercises to help me heal. I highly recommend going! read more

I had stiff neck problems for a while and had been to several chiropractors that insisted on giving me x-rays (even though I told them I wasn't comfortable with getting them, but they still insisted on it). Then they tried to sell me a package of sessions without giving me any self-help or at home activities to help improve upon my situation. But then I tried Dino one day after a referral from my friend at PTR Medical Center in Los Gatos. What I liked about Dino was that he did not insist on any x-rays and he was nice enough to squeeze me into his busy schedule. He also did not try to sell me any packages. I also like that he believes in exercise as part of the healing protocol. He is not one of those chiropractors that just wants you to keep going to him to feel better. I love PTR! As a very active person (gym, running, football, dodgeball, volleyball, mountain biking, etc.) it is very convenient that most of my injuries can be diagnosed and worked on in house. I have gone to their in house physical therapists twice, for separate issues, and both times the problems went away in short order. The doctors are very personable, and are not dull in the least. They make sure you are going to be better off when you leave than when you come in, and are very good at remembering your story between visits. I have suggested PTR to 2 friends, both of whom have been going for over 2 years. 5 stars is the lowest rating I would give to PTR. read more

In my early 20s, I sprained my lower back. I had a flare up of pain that would make it difficult to walk and uncomfortable to sit, each year since then. Then in 2012 I had three flare ups, each worse than the last. The one that hit in July 2012 scared me. It was so bad I thought I was going to lose the ability to walk. I found Dr. Dino DelMastro via Yelp. I sent him an email, and he got me into his office the next day. He diagnosed me with a herniated disk, and began treatment. I expect any "normal" doctor would have recommended surgery. Dr. DelMastro used chiropractic adjustments, massage, and exercises done in the office, and at home. By August I was mobile enough to attend a large convention (Gen Con in Indianapolis). I was walking slow, and still had pain, but I could attend the con, and enjoyed it. By December, I was pretty much pain free, and started a regular exercise program, plus continuing with approximately monthly "tune ups" with Dr. Dino. Over the next year, I had five more flare ups, but they were annoying rather than painful. 2014 saw only two or three flare up, early in the year, that were also of the annoying, and uncomfortable variety, more mild than any I ever had. This year, 2015, I have had no flare ups at all, and the previous ones were early in 2014, so it's been a full year or more since my last flare up. This is the first time I've been pain free in my lower back in over 20 years. All without surgery, and I took no drugs stronger than over the counter ibuprophen. I cannot recommend Dr. Dino DelMastro enough. His combination of chiropractic treatment and physical therapy works wonders. Additionally, it's obvious that he genuinely cares about his patients, and is one of the friendliest people I've ever met. read more

I am really into aggressive sports, the rougher the better! However, last fall, all that pounding really began to take it's toll on my body and I injury my hip flexor. As soon as it felt better, I would do another intense workout and set my healing back to zero. I began to think I'd done permanent, irreversible damage, so I started seeking professional help. I went to a few chiropractors, a physical therapist and even acupuncturist -nothing was helping! I've been going to Dr. Dino Del Maestro after experiencing an acute back injury over a year ago. Following my first adjustment, I definitely felt an improvement & within a few weeks I was good as new. Since I do crossfit, I like to go to Dr. D regularly for preventative maintenance. I have been to several other chiropractors before but Dr. D is definitely the best. He is very friendly, has a positive attitude, and makes you feel comfortable. Dr Dino is a great sports chiro. Being a personal trainer and gym owner for several years, I am all too familiar with the bogus chiro and the ones that stand apart from the rest. Dino knows soft tissue, has skills and knowledge to also help advise on rehab and strengthening protocols. He's NOT just a snap crackle and pop guy - he also knows muscles and is ART certified. I am so glad I was able to find a chiropractor that understands my issues and helps me with them! I came to Dr. Dino's office about a year ago with my lower and mid back issues. He took his time to understand them, but also to go beyond just those issues that I complained about! Dr. Dino is a great chiropractor and technician. He knows what he's doing and, even better, he emphasizes the importance of maintaining spinal alignment with exercises. I've often felt better for having chiropractic adjustments but I never held the alignment and tended to become "addicted" to adjustments. I love my adjustments but now I love my independence, too. Olivia is a great sports trainer and she provides the exercises and guidance to do them correctly to address problem areas. Olivia is very focused and creative. I'm currently a physical therapist student and I have got to say that Dr. Dino has a good thing going here. Being someone who performs powerlifting movements normally, it's actually hard to find health professionals who actually understand the reasons for aggravation in my muscles as well as the biomechanics of the movement. Dr. Dino is an NASM instructor and crossfitter who is well versed in his methods and practices what he preaches. Hands down, the BEST chiropractor I've ever gone to! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I've been to a handful of chiros over the past 20 yrs for scoliosis. They helped a bit but Dr. D is different bc he uses a full range of treatments, not just adjustments. I immediately feel better after each visit, whereas with others, I wasn't always so sure. I'm not an athlete & you don't have to be to see Dr. D. He also teaches you exercises to help with your particular problems, which is something no other doc has ever done. If you want to feel better, Dr. D is AMAZING. He is truly concerned about helping you feel your best, and is worth every penny. I also like that he doesn't suggest surgery unless you really need it. Dr. D has helped me with neck, arm and shoulder problems as well. I used to get headaches but they are always short lived after I see him. I'm a construction worker and when I have the time and energy I workout. But most of the "pain" comes from work. Wearing a hard hat 40+ hours a week was giving my neck and even shoulders some weird dull pain. Came to Dr Dino and he explained about what muscles are being used to support the extra weight on my head and why those areas were hurting. He treated me for that for a few weeks and even suggested some exercises i can do while at work that don't take too much time to stretch out my neck and shoulders. Now I come to him regularly for all the other aches and pains that come with working construction. I need to admit that I am pretty impressive with Dino's work. I always had my doubts about chiropractors specially because my previous experiences with other chiropractors were not as satisfactory as my experience with Dino del Mastro. Those chiros just put me heat, left me alone with a machine that moved my spine and finished the visit with some adjustments, however Dino works with his hands for a while applying the right pressure to my muscles and allowing to release the pain and the tightness. Then he does the adjustments and teach you a series of exercises as well. He has been treating me for the last 3 years and always fixed all my injuries. I highly recommend Dino del Mastro! read more
