I can't tell you how amazing Ed from here is. He made getting a storage unit a breeze. He was quick to respond back to our original reservation set-up. We were greeted with a smile when we first came in. I had to go into the office a couple of times for various reasons and every time he was quick and knowledgeable. On December 28 I requested a reservations for one of their units to begin January 4. They sent me several emails and texts along with several calls to finalize my reservations. Note, the reservation was advertised as free and the promotion was first month free. I went to their office 31 December to complete their request. They assigned my unit and gave me the keys even though my reservation wasn't until January 4. They took payment of $70.00 noting it was the administrative fee and for the lock. January 2 I had trouble lining up a moving truck and help with moving so I made room in my garage. No longer needing the storage space. I called to cancel my reservation and requested a refund Since I had never accessed my unit nor had the date I reserved arrived. The person I spoke with said I would not be entitled to a refund. I requested to speak with a manager. I ended up back in the call queue only to get a voicemail. I left a message. No call back to date. I stopped by the office twice today, 1030 and 12n, but the office was locked. I tried calling again but was on hold for over an hour so ended up disconnecting. Is this anyway to run a business? read more

I started storing my things at this location since last October and I have lots of complaints. First, there is NEVER anyone at the onsite office. Second, no one ever answers the phone, returns a call or text. Third, the light over my unit has been out since day one and it has NEVER been replaced. Fourth, the rent on my unit went up $40 with no explanation. I find it hard to believe that a company can survive with NO human contact whatsoever. I'm trying to find another storage company to move my things to. The unit at Kelly Blvd in Carrollton, Texas is a joke! read more

I have complained about the manager at storage unit 2750 Marsh ln Carrolton, TX 75007. The A/C was out for a month at least I took pictures of the overflowing bucket and roaches. when I called to file a complaint and even called your insurance to file a claim, I was told the A/c was never out per the property management even though I had proof, and no one called from the insurance to verify what items were damaged they denied my claim. Fast forward to my rent being late I was sent an email with the NOTICE OF CLAIM showing my rent is 188.00 but on my public storage account, I am charged a different amount. I HAVE MADE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ABOUT MY RENT BEING RAISED BECAUSE I POSTED A REVIEW OF THE HORRIBLE CONDITIONS. MY RENT WAS RAISED THE NEXT MONTH. AT NO TIME WHEN I CONTACT THE PROPERTY MY CALLS ARE RETURNED.  I have been given false information by numerous of your employees and hung up on when I bring up these discrepancies. It's brushed off like no big deal. my unit was entered into without my permission . I know this due to my lock facing the incorrect way which I took pictures of as well. I have filed numerous complaints for government officials to look into your illegal and unlawful practices. I will be writing reviews to warn ppl about the unprofessional services you provide. when I paid my monthly rent to show up days later with your locks It is illegal to lock someone out of their unit and not have any way of accessing it. I went to the office when I informed them i was calling the police YESSIN kicked me out and refused to speak to me until they arrived. by this time the ppl I hired to move my items out were no longer available because it took over 2 hours to get this resolved. i had no choice but to refuse the locks being taken off due to my items not being safe without a lock. she was willing to take off locks without a lock when police were there but after refused. Now I'm stuck paying for a service that is horrible and have no access to my items while being illegally upcharged. I tried resolving this issue within your business but you all are too rude to deal with. I expect a call from the the corporate office and all 10 calls i made just today are reviewed. you all refused to service me now holding me liable to pay another month's storage fees. the only time the property management reaches out is when the payment is late is absolutely ridiculous and giving the wrong information while lying all at the same time. The lady at the front desk was super amazing and chill. Had a lot of patience and understanding dealing with me and my friends under the rough circumstances. She has some of the BEST customer service skills that I've come across, she deserves 5 stars. The staff and facility at this location receive 5 stars. However I have to say that the online deal that I signed up for increased 25% after 6 months. When I called customer service they told me they can change the rate at anytime. I guess I missed that when I agreed to the original rate If I decided to pay less without notice I'm certain I would lose my unit but apparently it doesn't work both ways. When I explained this to customer service at Public Storage he told me the "the rates can change at any time ...I've already told you this". Unacceptable. My high rating is for Denise -- she does a fantastic job taking care of her customers at this storage facility. Public Storage makes changes....often.... that affects our price etc. and she was always very proactive in making sure we were aware of anything important. You can choose to store your items anywhere but when it is your life in a box you want to make sure it is somewhere where the staff cares about your property. After 3 years I just moved out of my unit and I just wanted to say if you are looking for a great location, good price and personal customer service this is the best one around. read more

BeWARE do NOT use. If purchasing boxes, there is a BAD policy of no returns after 30 days. This should be lengthened for those who have also rented a unit. We just vacated a unit Saturday and was UNable to return boxes the following Monday... because the boxes were purchased 37 days ago. This is Bad customer service. I haven't had to rent a storage in over 23 years, blessed to have a home. But recently we had a life changing event and knew we needed more space. So I drove by this location on the way to the bank and saw how clean it appeared, from the outside, so I went online to find their number to call and reserve a space. Well, to my pleasant surprise, I didn't have to take time off work and hurry over there, they made it super convenient. All I had to do was pick the size unit I needed, sign a few contracts and pay online, WOW how nice! Within a day my unit was available to move into. Prior to move-in they sent me the unit#, the code for the gate and told me where my lock would be located. We stopped by to check it out and saw how clean and "move in ready" our space was. So happy we chose this location. Thank you Public storage for making it so easy for this hard working, late hour tenant. Super excited! read more

After getting screwed by our last storage unit, I found a great deal at Public Storage. It has been good so far, no issues with a break in or anything like that. Also, Denise at the front is a sweetheart and does her best with great customer service. Would have given it 5 stars if it weren't for one thing. After about 6 months of renting they increased our rate after being told that our rate wouldn't. Apparently, there is a clause in out rental agreement that says our rate will increase at least once a year. For now we are still below market rate, but with increases like these we won't have a great deal for long. Planned to be a long term renter with them, but it looks like we are already needing to search for other options. *sigh* read more

Was looking for a short term place to store my furniture, I found this location on line, the staff is professional, courteous and did not try to force any extras on you. The property is clean and organized you need a code to enter and leave the facility. I worked with Colyn, who is very energetic, upbeat and resourceful, he was readily available and answered all my questions in a timely manner. The property seems very secure, I thought their pricing was competitive and I was able to get the storage space I needed quickly without any issues. read more

The manager at this place is great and she is friendly. I would rather not have purchased a lock there, however, no big deal. I found this location while searching for the storage facility that fit my needs best. The price was good and the location was even better. It was too good to be true. This location has narrow indoor pathways which would be difficult with large furniture pieces or pieces with any curve. I was also surprised by the indoor unit doors. I expected them to be more substantial and secure. The biggest drawback and the reason I went elsewhere is because the manager informed me that I had to purchase a lock from them despite the fact that I already own one. You must purchase a lock from this company in order to secure your belongings. I was not comfortable with that in addition to the lock being an added $20 expense. This isn't mentioned until after your taken to see the unit you are renting. Buyer Beware. There are nicer facilities with better prices. Don't spend money you shouldn't have to! read more
