This is a great place. It's close to here we live. We were able to snag one of the sought after INDOOR spaces. I made the reservation online. It was easy. I found that our homeowners insurance covered storage bldgs so I stopped in to cancel their (mandatory) policy. It was quick and easy and my monthly payment dropped quite a bit. This storage facility offers good security and clean units. The temperature controlled indoor spaces are very nice. Grace is the manager I have been working with for a long time. I've been with life storage for 10 years. They are clean, communicate often regarding events and availability to the storage that may be weather/COVID related and most importantly helpful. This facility had an advertisement for new customers stating price was good for the duration of the rental of the unit. My rent was increased after the first year by $20. Yes, $20 per month increase. I called and they reduced the increase and said the person that did my contract didn't know what she was doing and I shouldn't have been told that. IT WAS ADVERTISED! That is why I chose the place. Year two...another TWENTY DOLLAR per month increase. Yes. So I moved my stuff out and cancelled my unit immediately. They will not return the remaining unused portion of my rent for the month but you can bet they will rent that unit out! read more

BAIT & SWITCH!!! Reserve a unit for $97 online and receive 2 emails and a call in confirming my reservation. We got there and the lady said they don't have that unit but had a larger unit available for about $50 more. The lady said she can't honor the price but we can call the DM Matt Van Ess and ask him. We called a few times and left a message but no answer and no return call. read more

Manager of this location was very unprofessional and rude. As a previous review stated- they are all smiles when you sign a contract with them but terrible upon move out. Manager stated that they are not required to notify their clients of any policy or charge changes. This is incredibly shady and a poor way to treat your customers. We paid our bill early every month and the manager threatened us to send us to collections because we simply asked a question about our move out date. She was NOT polite or patient. read more

My family rented a space here recently and found them to have changed for the much worse from when we were regular customers in 2007-2008. This location has an attitude of bait-and-switch. They would not permit the use of an approved lock we had from our prior tenancy, but had to pay $15 for a cylinder lock worth about $5 elsewhere. Insurance was mandatory, or at least they rush you into believing that. the staff was argumentative, would not answer direct questions, and practically got lost in the units after telling us the correct way to go. They were quick to call us moments after we tried to look-up or reserve something on-line (good!), but they would not honor the on-line pricing and refused to let us drop the phone discussion and just go back to reserving the space ourselves at the cheaper rate. We only rented for a short time-period, in a time crunch, and are still unhappy that we had to do business with this location. In a separate transaction, we found a different Public Storage in Raleigh to be a complete 180-degree improvement over this location. read more

I like Jeff the manager. He has always helped me with any questions. The inside storage this year has be not kept up with cleaning. Dust and dirt everywhere. The price for my unit has gone way to high over the past 4 yrs. this is why I cleaned up and moved out all my stuff. read more

Very satisfied with friendliness of staff, facilities (clean, secure, well lighted, etc.) and the value. However, make sure to clarify their insurance and lock policy when you first call. I did not and ended up with $25 in additional fees for a lock (which is a good lock and mine to keep) and insurance. I probably would have gotten the lock anyway because it is sturdy and secure. However, many home insurance policies cover storage facilities. Once I bring in the right paperwork showing it's covered, the insurance can be cancelled, but I could have avoided any charge at all if I'd known ahead of time. Simply put, ask questions so you can make informed decisions. read more

Service bad. I arrived at 5:00 only to find a Sign on the door that said that they were in a managers meeting until 520. I waited until then, but has some phone clients I was tying up on the phone. I got out the car, door was still locked. The lady that was working on 2/13/18, said to come back tomorrow that she didn't have time to show the storage unit. It was 545, it wasn't 6:00. So they just missed out on a customer because she was so concerned with getting off at 6 that they lost money. I'm sure the owner would be mad that she's turning away customers. Poor service. There was no sign on the door that states " we see out last customer at 530". read more

While they were all smiles and nice when I rented my unit, I find that if I go into the office with any questions or issues, they are rude, condescending and could care less about customer service. Sorry I have my stuff stored here and I will move it as soon as possible. read more

We discovered our unit had leaked and soaked our boxes of stored items. Public storage did not provide a new unit, did not provide replacement boxes; in other words, did nothing to rectify the situation except hand us an insurance claim form. read more

Sarah was very helpful and professional when I came to complete the paperwork and get my keys, after having reserved it online. I got a good price on a climate controlled unit. The entry to that particular building has a nice covered overhang so things won't get wet when I load into it. There are wheeled carts available for free use in the building. Jeff and Gerard are a pleasure to deal with. Always friendly and helpful. They keep the facility neat and walk regular rounds to help ensure that no one left without locking their storage unit. Highly recommended. As another reviewer mentioned, bring a certificate of insurance with you that covers property in storage so you don't have to pay for optional insurance. read more

For some odd reason, I have kept giving Public Storage another try. No more. Not only is this facility constantly dirty, management turns over a lot, rarely have I found anyone truly helpful (unless you're looking to rent), and the gate has been 'broken' too many times for my comfort. They certainly toe the line with some logistics and I won't be using PS ever again. read more
