I cannot say enough great things about the property manager at this Public Storage location. I ran into an issue needing a new lock on a Sunday, when hours are limited. I left a message not really expecting much but she called me back personally and then went above and beyond by driving over from a completely different property after hours just to resolve the issue for us. That kind of dedication is rare. She didn't have to do that, but she did and she handled everything with such care and professionalism. Stephanie is an amazing representative of the company (Public Storage!) She always cheerfully assists, and puts in the effort to go the extra mile for each customer, even when I'm the one waiting I only gave four stars, specifically, since customer support has always been great at public storage, but it'd be so much easier and would help a lot for the rates to be just a little more economical...yearly, that is. Then the consumer would be more informed, as opposed to the increases every quarter or so. Yet, keep up the good work! read more

An absolute fantastic, super easy, and comfortable experience from start to finish. Al, the sales rep assisted with the space size based on our needs and thoroughly walked us through the process. Brandon and James at the Havertown, PA facility we not only pleasant and eager to assist, they followed up with calls and offered assistance before, during, and after move in. The facility is clean, neat, and everything is in working order. I would recommend Public Storage to anyone who needs space in a pinch and or longterm. I couldn't be happier. read more

This was an emergency situation that could have been a nightmare. However, the company was efficient in handling everything on the phone until I could get the. The corporate office did all of the arrangements quickly. When I arrived all I had to do was show ID and went straight to my bin! Exceptional customer service. Thank you, Public Storage! Be warned .....I've had a 10x10 for the past 6 months or so and out of nowhere my bill jumps from $188 to $229. I was told their system automatically does it and a request to decrease back to my original price was sent to the system and was denied. Unless you're not on a budget and don't mind your bill randomly increasing after you've gotten your storage full I'd suggest going elsewhere first. These companies are out to make a dollar and could care less about being loyal or being of any assistance to their customers. I'm beyond disappointed!! read more

I had a car full of stuff and an appointment at another storage facility in the area. However, after showing up and waiting for 45 minutes for someone to show up at their offices, I gave up and looked for another option. This PS storage was a little out of the way, but having ready a couple of good reviews I decided to drive to Havertown and give it a shot. Sara was able to set me up with a unit right away. Throughout the process (which was quick and painless), Sara was professional and kind. All I can say is that it was one of the best customer-service experiences ever! read more

After renting a space for almost three years for al little less than $400 per month I moved out in the first week of May. Even in the midst of a pandemic, they refused to even consider a prorated amount for the one week rental. That emulates the absolute worst customer service and/or customer appreciation that I have ever experienced. I am so sorry that I ever patronized them. Upon move-in: the units look clean. The facility is well kept. The man in the office was very helpful and polite (but a little disorganized). I moved in with 6 days left of the month, and so they charged me 1/5 of the monthly rate for that time, with no extra fee. The one problem I encountered is that I'm the kind of person that likes to know where my money is going, and the receipt was very hard to understand. The charges for the 6 days of the month and for the insurance were very muddled. In the end, all the charges were perfectly reasonable, but it took me a long time at home with a spreadsheet to confirm that. Fees you'll run into: Rent tax: 6% Insurance: cheapest is $11/month Admin fee: $24 Lock: $21.19 after tax Update after move-out: The move-out was easy (I set up the date online before hand, so I didn't have to worry about someone being in the office). All my stuff was clean and dry, no sign of pests. read more

Maybe I should have spoken to Sara before getting my unit. The person that waited on me was surly and decidedly unfriendly. My rate has increased FOUR times since I have had it for about 1 1/2 years. The key code entry boxes - entering and leaving - makes necessary getting out of the car each time to key in my code. (Previous Public Storage property had a drive up key pad.) Not very happy as my rate now is almost double what it started out as. read more

Not much went right... made an appointment for a Saturday at 130, which was confirmed the night before. I got there at 130... no one there, I waited around for 20 minutes while continuing to call and leave messages. We decided to get lunch, went back around 245, still no one there and had not been called back. I called the call center (finally) and spoke with someone who was very helpful. Within 15 minutes she had contacted the district manager. Shortly after that I received a call from a manager from another location who apologized, expressed there was an "emergency" and that no one at the 245 west Chester pike location had been there BUT that someone was coming in 10-15 minutes. 25 minutes later, I left. No one called me back to ask if I had been served. $200+ a month this location can kiss goodbye. Found a place nearby and had a unit in 25 minutes. Place did look clean but I was only in the parking lot... for ~ 2 hours. read more
