This has by far been the worse experience ever. All of my property in my climate controlled unit was molded due to the temperature in the units were not working properly. I talked to others that were there trying to salvage what they could of their property as well. I have reached out to corporate and the manager of that property but no one will answer my calls or return my calls. This is just some of my things that were ruined. read more

When I first rented my unit the gal was fantastic! BUT then I went on a Sunday to get my code and the other gal was very rude and was screaming from a car that she was busy and I would have to come back later. My thing is I was reading the sign on the door and then the screaming started at first I had no idea who she was screaming at then I realized when the entire car was giving me a dirty look that she was screaming at me. Work is not the place or time for you friends to come and hang out with you!! Grow up be respectful at least while you are on your job. The whole thing just gave me a new opinion of where I just rented a unit. I would not rent from this location any Public Storage location again. I rented a climate controlled unit at Public Storage for my sons college furniture. Received a call from the district manager that there may be an issue with my unit. The unit is next to the maintenance room which contains the air conditioner for the building. Upon inspection, the a/c unit leaked an water ran into my unit, and was soaked-up by the sofa, mattress, and carpet in the unit. The smell of mold was very strong, and when I pulled pack the other contents of the unit there was mold and water damage on the sofa and bed. The manager told me that because I waived insurance, and renters store at their own risk, they were not responsible for the damage. They also wanted me to remove the furniture and dispose at my expense. I understand that if there are issue with weather or theft, I am responsible. However, when the damage is caused by the lack of service on the buildings equipment, the location should be responsible. Very disappointing! read more

I rented the property on January 31, 2015 and while the property representative was kind and considerate. However my overall Public Storage experience is turning to a nightmare. I was told prior to visiting the property that I would be renting the storage space for the month $1 for the month of February but now I learned that when I did my contract they did not include the amount of my first month's rent in the contract. I really believe that they should have explained this to be while I was at the location and when I called in to reserve my storage space which they did not. Now on Sunday 2/22/15 I was called by another Public Storage facility representative that was rude, ghetto, and lack the intelligence of a grain of sand to tell me that my payment was past due. I tried to explain to the individual that I just rented the space on 1/31/2015 and that I was told that my first payment wasn't due until March 1. Well she didn't receive that bit of information well and begin to tell me that if I didn't then I would assess the late fee, lose my property and if wanted to pay through a representative it would be a $20 fee and the automated pay charges a $10 fee. After I trying to speak with her manager she became more difficult so I told her where she could get off and I hung up tried to call the property back thinking it was the one I rented from and low and behold it wasn't which explains here behavior. I finally got a hold of my location and the representative Jackie that initially signed my contract with told me she didn't understand why I was being charged so soon since I signed up on the last day of the month and told me that she would call the head office to find out what was going on but today she tells me that charge me for a day worth of storage and forwarded my dollar rental fee to February which was less than 12 hours away. I visited 2 other locations before I found this location. The first on I reserved several days in advance and spoke to the property manager several times that day and it was until I got to the property that she decided to tell me that the freight elevators were out because the space that I was renting was on the second floor. The second location I told the representative that I was right down the street from them so that I could rent and she told me that she would be waiting for me but when I got there the office was lock and even after waiting for 30 minutes no one ever came to help me so that is when I ended up at my third location. PS representative Jackie did her job however public storage as a company in my book are crooks. If your going to prorate my storage space do it right down to the day I first signed my contract.
