I hate it! The day I scheduled to move in, and rented a truck, no one was there at my reserved time so I had to wait..so what was the point? I moved out of state and unfortunately haven't had time to go back. I plan on going for the holidays to move or sell my things. It literally JUST made a year a cpl months ago. My bill started around $70, I just received a notice my bill is now priced $204/month. I didn't even get the notification to my phone like I do for my payment reminders, luckily I was cleaning my emails and saw it, then logged in to confirm it on the app. Its like it goes up every 6 months, yet on the website for my storage location/size they have the starting pricing at what I paid. I guess when they dont get the business us customer have to pay. I will never spend my money here again. Its not worth it. read more

Disclaimer this review is for the New Jonesboro location - The Customer service is terrible they over police tenants , they put signs up to say not to have the doors proped open- but this is a storage place and your moving in - and they have the doors fixed with stoppers so you can keep them open ? The have signs with outrageous charges like $700- $300 for items outside your lease agreement with the parent company for standard charges- I watched a lady that work there slam the door on the man trying to movie his grandmother items and broke a vase and never apologized - then she placed a chair in the middle of the door so he couldn't bring items in - moving items this was a hazard and someone could have trip - then call me the devil when I called her out on her unprofessional crazy behavior . read more

Nichol was my "storage specialist" and she was absolutely wonderful! As stressful and expensive as moving is, renting at this location was one of the easier, relaxing decisions I had to make. Due to Nichol's expertise, I was able to save money on a unit that met my needs. I definitely recommend anyone moving into this area to utilize this resource. Best wishes read more

This property looks good from the outside; however, its infested with mice and rats. They are currently in the process of trying to get this matter in control. Unfortunately I've been with this property since June 2016. The company has made attempts to control this infestation. Its some better. read more

This place was convenient but be aware they force you to purchase monthly insurance. The rate you see online is not the rate you receive when you sign paperwork in person. read more

History

Established in 1972.

The first Public Storage building opened in El Cajon California, but the new business was only supposed to be temporary. Two partners pioneered the concept as a way to use their real estate investment while they waited for the Southern California community to take off and value of their land to grow. They kept building, and people continued to fill their units. Eventually the pair realized that self-storage was here to stay, and they never looked back. Today, there are thousands of neighborhood Public Storage locations to choose from, many right around the corner from you.

Extra space doesn't give a full year before they increase payments, usually 2 or three times within that year. Storage bandits, and there's nothing you can do about it except go clear your stuff out! They don't tell you about the increases when you sign up. Extreme capitalism in America.

Didn't have an issue with this business until I sent a notice to vacate…read more I received confirmation that the notice was granted... however, I was charged for the next month. They sent a notice that the site was removing customer locks and installing a new lock at no cost to the customer. Called customer service for a refund, they said that I had to physically go to the location to get the key (for a lock that I didn't place on the unit) and remove the lock before a refund can be issued. I live an hour away...I was told the policy was to have the ex-costumer come in and show ID; but I didn't have to come in for them to remove and replace my lock. Again, I received confirmation that my notice was granted; my lock was replaced; I was charged for additional month and I have to drive an hour for a refund. If I had been delinquent, Extra Space would have had an auction or trashed my belongings. Cut the damn lock that I didn't put on the unit and submit my refund!!!!!!

Back Savers showed up with so many movers I almost lost count. 6 or 7 of the most clean cut, uniform wearing gentleman. They got to work right away helping me finish wrapping up odds and ends. I opted to provide the boxes and supplies needed for the move but I noticed that they did have extra supplies to wrap the couches etc. We are having to get the crew to come back out again tomorrow because I needed more storage. If I did have the extra storage space today they could have easily finished up today. These people are serious about getting the job done. Trust me you could tell I was stressed from my move but she was very patient and understanding. such a people person. the storage unit was cleaned and ready to go, great size!
