Beware! What seems like a good deal in the beginning is actually an introductory rate. They do rate increases every 6 months. They may tell you they will work with you when the rate increases but it WILL increase every 6 months. This is a dishonest practice that feels like manipulation, because they know that once you move your stuff into this storage, you are unlikely to move it again until they hike the rental rate up so far that you aren't willing to continue to pay more and more. I choose not to do business with any business that plays games like this. FYI, this is not a rate increase after 1yr, 2yrs, 5yrs, etc. It is EVERY 6 months. It your contract it says "this rate MAY change" but should say "this rate WILL change." Bad business practice! read more

We stored our entire home contents at this facility for less than 6 months while we purchased a new home in a new city. My unit was robbed, filmed by their cameras, police report made, no arrest, or recovery of items. I had a climate controlled extra large unit with a camera on the door that was broken into. I could see the scratches of some of the larger items go down the hall and into another locked unit. I felt like someone there knew something and didn't want to get involved. The facility was not held accountable in way nor did any of the management reach out with notification. We discovered the break in ourselves. Such a disappointment. read more

They keep raising the monthly rent. Unfair and predatory business practices. Steer clear of this unethical place.

Be warned. We rent a outside parking spot for a small sailboat. No covering, just a parking spot. We have rented this spot for 1 year. They trick you to get you in. Free first month. $135 after that. 6 months later they jacked rate up to $172 Now 6 months later they raised it again to $204. I have kept constant talks with them, they have reduced slightly to help me with a slight discount but they no longer do that. For a outdoor non covered parking spot, this is horrible and ridiculous! Be warned, you will initially get a rate and they will quickly take advantage of you until you simply cannot afford. Their corporate structure is obviously built to sneak in very large rate hikes! Horrible place. Lady on site is lazy. She just wants to set and flirt with everyone rather than do her so called job....... We have had problems previously and it's her not wanting to do her job. Just got worst. Her so called boss in no better. Lazy people. Place looks like shit already from lack of employees care. Bathroom in front building is horrible. The on site lady needs replaced. I have tried multiple time to call the property manager and have left numerous voicemails with how to contact me for MONTHS. nothing. no other way to contact them other than the number that is never answered. even when I call the 1800 number no options to speak to a real person. horrible I won't be using them ever again read more

It's reliable and nice storage, but the rates and their business practices are really bad. I've used them for about 1.5 years and they automatically raise rates every 5-6 months. i started out paying 284, then 341, then 395 and then they raised it to $505. i complained so they lowered it to $454 still crazy considering what i started paying. don't expect to pay a consistent amount. Better off finding a local company that does storage units. this corporation will rake you over coals. Total rip off. read more

Past experiences with storage facilities have for long left a dull and unacceptable taste and feeling in my mind and heart! Poor customer service always turns me away, and leaves my house cluttered with past treasures in need of space. After searching, I finally decided to check out Public Storage! Well, the Manager at the LaMarque, TX location has helped me come to the millennium century! She not only listened to my desires, but assured me of fulfilling my needs. Her advice and suggestions were right on point, professional, knowledgeable, and most of all caring about "MY STUFF"; as if it all was her own! And what was even better, she did all of this virtually! I can not imagine how much more caring and concerned she would be in convincing me that Public Storage is the place to be where they will treat MY STUFF AS IF IT WAS THEIR STUFF!!!
