I've never tried storing/moving furniture with Guys and Dollies so I can't say much about that. However when it comes to smaller items such as their signature boxes, luggage and small appliances (microwaves, mini fridges, etc), I've never encountered a problem. They pick up from your house whether yozu're at the dorms or off campus and drop off wherever you want too. They will give you as many boxes as you may need (and take back unused boxes) and other supplies like tape and labels. A friend of mine used their services to ship her things to New York and had no complaints. Guys and Dollies is flexible with pick up and drop off times and can even do same day appointments for the most part. I've never come across an issue that they haven't resolved quickly over the phone. I would recommend making an appointment early for pick up in May and drop off in August since those are their busiest times. They also have cost estimates on their website and are willing to go into more detail over the phone. I would highly recommend their services to anyone in between leases or not in town for the summer.

I was a teacher and put my items in storage while I stayed home with my child. My classroom items that I bought are now destroyed. They are covered in mouse poop and chewed through. These are precious books and items that I have read to students and hoped to read to my own children for years to come and now I will not be able to. There are thousands of a dollars in damage. When talking to the manager, she seemed to think the books were fine. She told us to just email some pictures and talk to our renter's insurance. It's not my renter's insurance problem that this storage unit is absolutely disgusting and does not store anything safely. I would hope that no one ever uses this facility, unless they want all of their personal belongings destroyed. I included many pictures, but they aren't even close to showing all of the damage. I really hope that we do not get sick from cleaning this all up. They should be absolutely ashamed that they charge people money to store their belongings here.
