I received excellent customer service from an employee named Mitch when I reached out to the property a few weeks ago. I was a bit annoyed but Mitch listened, allowed me to vent and remained professional and attentive. I appreciated his professionalism and his positive attitude as well as his willingness to help resolve my issue. While I don't like the temperature in the climate controlled building, the customer service from Mitch was wonderful and I would refer others to this location because of him. Firstly I pay for climate control and as far as I know the climate control has been out of order since mid March x 6 weeks now as well as the service sliding doors too. So what are we paying for? I had to like pull it out of corporate to have someone come and agree to open one of the doors so I could move my stuff out and we'll they did NOT HOLD UP THEIR END OF THEIR AGREEMENT AND DID NOT SHOW UP TO OPEN ONE OF THE GLASS DOORS BUT NOW THEY HAVE TACKED ON A CHARGE STATING CLEANING FEE AND MISC $ 75.00 apparently they say I left a barbecue pit so I went to see what they were talking about and got one of my friends to haul it off bc if I didn't then I was told that I could not close my account out and I would possibly owe next months rent of 121.00 plus a late fee from the misc fee. THE MOST GOD AWFUL PLACE Air Doesn't work and the doors are broken x about 6 weeks to my knowledge, and it took 3 men 3 1/2 hours to load up my storage unit on a truck that should've only taken 2 hours tops. They take your money and they don't give a crab about you. As you can see the picture is my full storage unit and also one of how I left it! It was so hot the movers were plugging fans in bc it was so fricking hot in the units dang shame! I have used Public Storage on Piedmont/Canton Hwy in Marietta for FOUR YEARS. It is the largest unit, climate controlled, with insurance. This costed me over $7,000.00. When I opened the unit 2 months ago to move the furniture, everything was covered in green MOLD. It was in my Mom's name, she's been dead 4 years. I sent her WILL, death certificate, my ID, where I had paid it the entire time to Jacquline in claims(including all pictures). She finally issued a check to me in my mom's name for a mere $250. Ten thousand dollars insured to the max, all furniture and oil paintings damaged. I cannot cash the check on a dead person, she refuses to re-issue the check in my name. I would never never recommend Pubic Storage. ZERO on customer service, and they raise fees constantly! Debra Sexton read more

She was professional, friendly, knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. They are a rip off. They don't really go month to month. We moved in on the 4th. So we should have been able to move out on the 4th! They say they prorated the second month's rent. Well that would mean that each day is approx $6. Then my bill for month 2 should have been $24 cheaper than normal. If normal is $198 and they charged me $184, the difference is $14, not $24. Therefore they did not discount 4 days. They only discounted 2.5 or so. So me walking in to vacate out on the 1st shouldn't have been a problem, because clearly I have at least a day and a half I have already paid for. Yet, at 10:00 am on the 1st, my unit is completely clear and the clerk tells me I owe $191? For what? You all owe me a day and half. And even still...$191 for 30 minutes? And my lock was off yesterday on the 31st. I just came up here to "close out". This is the biggest rip off ever. Choose another facility. Curtis is nice. He talked to me about everything, but of course when I get in the office, he wasn't there. So the African American customer service rep with the natural puff "assisted". She offered no solution. She acted as if she was too busy to bothered. If you walk in and see her, turn away. read more

Selena is NOT helpful. She pretends she knows the policies but really just makes them up as she goes. Told me I was absolutely required to have insurance. Not until I told her repeatedly that I really didn't want it did she reveal I actually didn't need it, saying that they would not be liable for damages then. Wow, yeah, that's the definition of insurance. How many people here are paying insurance for no reason? She then tried to sell me her lock at a "great price of $20". Ha. I had someone go buy the same lock from a hardware store for $4. After I've finally paid (it took a whiiiile), she then refused to let me start to load until the lock arrived. "It's policy". So I sat there for 20 minutes wasting my time because she didn't get her kickbacks for selling me overpriced insurance and a lock. Even the other employee there pulled me aside and apologized for her being so ridiculous. She literally has no clue. Bring your own lock. Don't buy the insurance if you don't want it. Pray Selena is not there. read more

The unprofessionalism was real. I physically waited while the property manager stated on the time table that she would be back by 12:45. The public storage sign stated the hours for her to be gone is 1:30 until 2pm. Nadia not only had me waiting outside for over an hour but she didn't return to the office until 220 and then I Watched her pick up the same sign and changed the time stating she would be back at 1:45. I asked her specifically for help and she told me what she couldn't do for five mins but could leave her post for more than an hour and no one is left on site. To preference my review I used to be a property manager at a location in Virginia Beach. So I'd like to think I know the ins and outs of public storage and their expectations very well. I rented a unit with a move in date of today, when I got to the location the door inside the building to get into the rental office was locked. I finally was able to get into the office and told the lady at the desk I needed to get a dolly and we gave her my wife's ID. Told her our unit number & she gave me a dolly key for the opposite end of the building, I had to walk back to the office and swap out the keys and she was incredibly rude when she gave me the new key. Move in went smoothly after that, returned the key got the ID. Flash forward to this evening, I get a voicemail saying I never moved into my unit. Keep in mind I literally went into the office during my move in to tell her my unit number for the dolly. The property manager seems incredibly incompetent. read more

Well, after setting it all up online, with one glitch- read it at the final paragraph below-. My sister was helping me with moving stuff to storage, since i care for our mother at home, i could not leave her. I rented a climate control 7×9×6. Something like that on 2nd floor. Well when she got there. There was no carts to help her get it into the elevator. And she waited for one. Wasting time having to do so. So the next day she came back with a helper and went to the office to get a cart, but it was closed at lunch time and said they would reopen by 2. My sister came back a few minutes later at 2, and the clock was changed to 2:30 by the office clerk,and was ignored her both times! I even tried calling the office, and always getting voicemail, and never a returned call? Why can't the cart 's be available at all times for the customers paying for a storage unit, to have this option to use? We loaded our own hand truck the next time, and used it. But it takes up valuable space in our mini van to item's that needed to be stored. The unit was clean, nice, and ready for us, but onsite customer service is not up to helping folks trying to use the carts for having to use the elevator's! And when my sister finally got one to use, the office personal was not a friendly person. 0 read more

Everything and more to expect. I loved almost everything about this public Storage, it's very clean, Convienent, staff is professional, nice and know thier work. But the gate access, I have get out my car put in my code jump back in put seatbelt on put in drive then go through gate.
