Great storage facility. I moved my stuff from a competitor because my cardboard boxes were collapsing from extreme humidity. I was told it was common for Georgia. Plastic tubs were dripping wet during the move out. No humidity problems here, and I'm not in the climate controlled units. All storage units are not equal. (I have a unit in the Coal Mountain/Cumming location that is managed out of the Canton, GA office.) Management called me and advised they found my unit unlocked with the lock and key inside. They advised the key had a lanyard/string around it. I was very perplexed by this because we have all keys that were issued to us and never have we had any keys with strings/lanyards around them. I went to the facility and thankfully nothing appeared missing. I called management and advised that my lock they issued must have been recycled because someone must have had a key and unlocked it. I asked if they would replace my lock with a new one. I also asked perhaps they were mistaken and it was a different storage room than mine that they found unlocked. The manager became defensive and said I was accusing her of being dishonest and that it is against their policy to recycle locks. She said she had a picture of my unit when she found it unlocked, and she knows it was mine unlocked. I asked if she could send me the picture and she said she no longer has it. I informed her that I am not accusing anyone of dishonesty, but rather that there must have been some mistake on their end- either they mistakenly identified the unlocked storage facility as mine or they mistakenly used the same lock on our unit so that a previous renter still has a key. The manager said they would not replace my lock and if I wanted to I could go buy another one and ended the call. Wow. I will be moving out of this storage facility. The mistake is on their end and instead of hearing me out, replacing the lock, they told me it was my fault and to deal with it. No thanks. I want a facility that is going to keep my stuff safe and then support me if there are issues. read more

Very clean facility! The buildings are always maintained and temperature controlled. Have been there many time and never even saw a bug. I would trust storing anything there. read more

I reserved a 10x20 storage building on 7/16/20 and received an email confirmation with reservation number and move in date of 7/17/20 that said to bring a government issued ID to the location. My husband looked up the same building on the website after I made the reservation and it said call for more info instead of select. I was going to go by early in the day but was called in to work. It was about 4:30pm before I got there. When I arrived I was told the office was closed and to call from my car. I called and said I was there to complete paperwork for my reservation. I was told that someone else had rented it online at 11:30 that same morning. I asked them how that was possible when the website said to call for more info and would not allow you to select the building size. I was told that they were not able to control what people did on the website. Someone in the office had to cancel my reservation to make the building available online again or rented to the first person that walked in. Either way I was lied to. Do not use this storage facility. read more

We have had two experiences with this location. Both have been terrible. Whether renting a truck or buying supplies, their customer service is terrible. Even though they are down the street from my house, I will go out of my way to a different dealer- just to not give Star Storage anymore of my money. Go somewhere else if you need any kind of moving services or supplies. read more

I have had multiple units at this location for the past few years. I have brought friends and neighbors to rent units at this location in the past. All the past management has been very helpful and great to work with until the current management change. If you want to be sure that what you are being told is true make sure that you get it in writing. In the short time of the current management reign I have had multiple issues. The most recent misrepresentation by management cost me $120. read more

Everyone is very friendly and helpful. I was able to get a unit set up quickly and without any issues. Whenever I pay my bill I get a hard copy of the receipt along with one emailed to me. The lot is easy to get around in and allows for plenty of space to get a moving truck in and out. I'm very happy with my experience at this storage facility! read more

Star Storage is great. We recently sold our house. While looking for a new one and waiting to close, we stored our belonging at Star. I'm very happy with the service. The staff really make Star Storage special. They go out of their way to help and make the experience as simple and efficient as possible.
