I rented a 5x10 unit here that started around $150 a month but was raised almost every few months with no notice, eventually hitting $265. On top of that, the facility had water issues that damaged my property. When I decided to leave, I fully cleared the unit a day before the next charge date and told the front desk about it. The employee responded in a very arrogant way, saying it "might still get charged" but didn't explain why. He claimed he'd check the unit and close the account, but he never asked for my name, ID, or unit number -- so I have no idea how he planned to identify me or my contract. At the end I had to give him my unit number plus name. It really seemed like he didn't care and wasn't actually going to follow through. Honestly I would not come back to any public storage facility due to all these issues. read more

I've paid for storage here for months and I have a unit upstairs. The elevators have not worked and have been being "worked on" since I first got my unit. one of the guys working on it told me back in December that it would be fixed by the end on January... it's now the end of March and I haven't been able to put my heavier stuff in the the unit or been able to use my rolling cart. This is so frustrating and actually makes me want to cancel my contract with them. I don't recommend. read more

STAY AWAY! This place is FILTHY. We just moved out of the facility and some of our furniture and wallpaper is ruined from TERMITE damage and water intrusion. In one corner and along the left side of the unit, there was 5" x 10" pile of termite wings and debris from terminates eating the fabric on the moving blankets. Additionally, there was a flood from the roof and about 2" of water in our unit which ruined several piece of furniture and 20 rolls of wallpaper. The rate continually went up each year to over $400 for a 10 x 15 unit. We are in a much cleaner unit and are done w/ PUBLIC STORAGE. We are now in a much cleaner and better run storage unit that is larger for less money near Olde Naples. read more

In moving from Illinois, I had to store my home for 5 months. When unpacking I was so concerned to see an abundance of silverfish in my boxes. I chose the location for what I thought was cleanliness and climate control. Highly disappointed. Also with only a few months into storing they increased the monthly fee by $75 with no communication. The website says if you bring your own lock you can get a refund on the lock they make you pay for online. I brought my own lock just to find out the unit i rented doesn't even allow my lock to be used because the unit is broken, when i asked if they can switch me to a non broken unit they said they don't know which units are broken and which aren't, so unless i want to walk around the whole property looking for a vacant non broken unit then i can't use my lock and won't get a refund on the lock they made me pay for. Very unhappy, and unprofessional from them. read more

Great space but what a rip off when they don't telll you up front that there is no proration for partial month use. I am vacating on the 7th of the month and having to pay for the entire month. If I had been made aware of that up front I would have made other arrangements and saved $300. read more

The storage unit was decent, but customer service is marginal at best. The elevator needs major renovation. There are only 2 floors, but it starts and stops and stutters all the way down and has for over 2 years. The office is frequently locked up, so forget it if you need assistance with anything. They raise their rates frequently and substantially (the most recent one was $20/month for the smallest available unit). I recently moved everything out and left it unlocked; but was paid up for 2 more weeks. Since the office was locked up (again), I couldn't tell anyone and left. I was traveling and couldn't call for a couple of days, at which time I was told "someone" had advised the unit was no longer needed. Rather than notifying me to verify I had actually vacated rather then the possibility it had been broken into, they just cancelled the account with no notice. Extremely poor way to handle things. read more

Beware of hidden charges. The 800 number agent told me that I could bring my own lock, but they require you to buy theirs. Unfortunately I have to update my previous review on Google and elsewhere, as the predatory practices have made an already difficult move even worse. We kept our unit clean and paid on time for two years. We didn't complain when our rates increased by over 50% this year. But when the closing was delayed on our new home, and in the midst of the stress of coordinating with family from out of state coming to help, they offered no flexibility or sympathy and charged us for a full additional month the same day we vacated our unit in accordance with their guidelines. I cannot in good conscience recommend their services to anyone in the Naples area. read more

I have 2 units here. The facilities are very clean unlike my experience w/ Life Storage in Bonita Springs. The process was all done online. They notified me when the unit was ready, the lock was there, they texted me the gate code. Very simple & smooth process. I needed a small unit, just for a month or two for some of my stuff before I moved, the staff was so friendly and helpful! I was shown all of my options and my hubby and I picked one. We moved our stuff in painless and easy thanks to all of the hand carts that management provides! The property itself is very well kept and clean, it also didn't have that musty storage unit smell! The front office folks were just great! They knew me by name, kept me laughing and were so helpful when I needed to upgrade my unit!!! All in all, I am happy with public storage!!! Long term customer here. Got notice monthly rental was going up nearly $120 per month. Due to the Christmas holiday stuck with it for January ('22) since we were to busy with the holidays. Began making other arrangements, found another unit (less cost per month & larger) and made arrangements to take that one. Left a phone message for here informing them, we were moving out at the end of the month. Within 48 hours got an email from them reducing the rate, which was nice but I asked them to not increase it that much and was told no sorry can't do that , then all of a sudden after the other unit was rented Public Storage then informed me they could now reduce their increase. Sorry guys, to little to late as already committed to another company - had you (Public Storage) removed the @ $120/month increase within a week after I contacted the store and was told sorry, can't reduce the increase, would have stayed. Prior to that was very happy when Randy and Chris were there as they were part of a great management team. Short term, this move will cost a little more than wanted but long term, we're saving the expense of the move. Perhaps one day, we will rent again from Public Storage but as of the end of this month, we are no longer there. read more

From finding it online, the personal phone call by Randy, to Chris and the receptionist ,everyone was friendly, fast and efficient. Clean and safe property. everyone is helpful and very careful about who enters the property! Do not tailgate into it. They will come and tell you you need your code so it is recorded as to whom enters! This makes it feel even safer and shows how much they care about your items being stored.
