I've had nothing but a bad experience since the get-go. I rented a small unit and switched to twice as big of a unit less than 24 hours. First of all they fully charge me for the full amount instead of a dollar for the first month for the first unit and I never got a refund back secondly they charge me for the second unit full price and it wasn't a dollar for the first month like it's advertised. Then as I was putting my stuff in a storage unit I noticed a large water leak and I told him about it and nobody is doing anything about it. I've sent about three emails and nobody is replying to any of them. I'm honestly about to just move my stuff out and do away with this place. Also the Bluetooth wireless connection to the gate never works I always have to manually punch it in. Everything is such a hassle since I started storing my stuff at this place read more

History

Established in 1972.

The first Public Storage building opened in El Cajon California, but the new business was only supposed to be temporary. Two partners pioneered the concept as a way to use their real estate investment while they waited for the Southern California community to take off and value of their land to grow. They kept building, and people continued to fill their units. Eventually the pair realized that self-storage was here to stay, and they never looked back. Today, there are thousands of neighborhood Public Storage locations to choose from, many right around the corner from you.

All of our belongings were in the unit since we were in the process of moving into our new home. Other renters were there when we were moving our items into a Haul and they were having the same problems. One renter had killed 5 mice in her indoor unit. The company was aware of the problem in April. Access Storage's office has been nothing but rude since we reported this problem. We request for them to pay our cleaning bill to have our furniture cleaned which totaled $300. They stated they weren't responsible even though they knew about the problem before we rented. Incredibly disappointed with the lack of empathy and willingness to help with this company.

I used public storage for the first time today and was blown away with how smooth everything went. I was able to secure a unit online. They promptly emailed me with all of my signed documents and unit info. When I arrived, I was able to access my unit without any problems at all. I was surprised with how clean the units were. So, I switched to Public Storage in Newburgh IN this weekend and had a truly nice and professional experience. The online registration was a breeze. The office was open and staffed with a pleasant and helpful attendant. They had plenty of storage supplies available in the office. The app is super easy and efficient to access the gates. The storage unit was clean and accessible. We used an interior climate controlled unit. Super clean. Much better experience than SecurCare down the road. read more

I did not respond because that would not work out and it was not the agreed upon time. I texted him 15 minutes before the scheduled appointment time and he stated he was going to lunch with the family and it would have to be later. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! I scheduled with another company and would never recommend this place to anyone. If giving no stars was an option I would have! The replacement company got a nice tip!

I said absolutely not since this is a new toilet that I bought from them. They said that they would not charge me for the service since they couldn't find the problem.
