So when I moved this November I was looking for simple solutions and a friend suggested renting moving boxes from Dymon Box. Renting boxes to move all my worldly possessions does seem an odd idea at first, but turns out it was awesome. Dymon has different packages, but the best deal is 25 boxes for two weeks with free delivery and pick up. The boxes are large plastic bins with handles and lids. They stack wonderfully and are very sturdy--I have a mini-library so they had to stand up really well. Dymon cleaned the boxes before dropping them off and provided labels that were easy to attach and remove. In addition, they provided a cart to stack the boxes on--awesome! Absolutely loved having boxes with handles and a cart just the right size--the moving process was much smoother than with regular cardboard boxes. Dymon's delivery service for drop off and pickup was also great, they were on time and super friendly. They were flexible with moving the pickup time back as well, which made my life easier. I really liked having reusable boxes and that I didn't have a stack of cardboard to get rid of at the end of the move. The only down side to the boxes for me was that, because they are rather large, I couldn't fill them with heavier items, like books, so I had to be a bit more creative with my packing to distribute the weight more evenly. Since its a new business I paid the going rate, but the rates are very good. Better than renting an apartment for a few months just for my stuff when I'm out of town. I can leave everything and know it will be safe and secure in one of the small units. The reservation and set up is easy since I did it all through the website. I have my own key so I can go back and check on or get my stuff anytime, very convenient. I could see how students at the local SUNY schools, Clarkson or St. Lawrence would want to store their stuff here when they are out of town. Saves from having to rent an apartment.
