Just rent one of the storage units here started last month, Steve the one and only employee here is super duper nice. Steve helped us and explained step by step how it works and so far works very well for us. We got at the 2 and floor and it's very easy to access. Loved that you can use the app to open the gate, so you can access anytime you want. The 2nd floor storage unit is easy to access as well, just go on the elevator boom, you are there. This place was so great for 2 years Around boy who was there for awhile stole some things of mine He left after that Then a couple girls came to work in the office. They were dishonest and shady They were always gossiping to me about each other then trying to include me in their problems I just wanted to pay my rent and mind my own business. Just a fare warning not to use public storage on Hayden. Our unit was broken into. The man climbed over and cut the lock from the inside. The manager there does not care says it's a police matter not hers. They took everything down to a winter jacket. They have it all on camera claiming they can't show us, BS if you ask me. On 3/2/23 Jeff at this Public Storage location explained the drastically different prices by saying that "I work for a greedy corporation that tries to soak you for as much as they can get and it's as simple as that." As a renter here since 2014, I was surprised to hear Jeff and T.J. both explain their company's strategy to deny lower available rates to long term renters. "Go for it" was the advice I received when I told Jeff I would be writing this review about the company's deliberate practice he explained to charge nearly double for the same size unit, on the same floor, in the same building, during the same time period. Jeff mentioned that he appreciated me filming our conversation in their lobby that day, so I'll be happy to share the recording with anyone who doubts that every word of this review is 100% true and accurate. read more

Storage unit and facility is very good - easy access and everything is clean. HOWEVER, if you have any questions or issues with billing, or anything else, I wish you lots of luck!! I have written three times regarding the "advertised" special rental rate; responses have taken over a month, don't address the issue and refer me to the Customer Service number. I spent over 30 minutes in an endless loop trying to speak with an actual person. Front office person was borderline rude and as unhelpful as other customer service avenues. I would never rent from them again because of the contact issues. I've now paid full price for two months plus the $4.99 "special rate" for one month and I've rented the unit for one actual month, to date. Save yourself the trouble and rent elsewhere. read more

I have been a long time renter of the same storage unit at this facility and like others have commented. The property owner is greedy, greedy, greedy... I moved in at $158 for a unit and this month they have now raised my rent to nearly $400!!!! No joke. I have had to request rent decreases on a regular basis only to have them denied. Keep in mind that they advertise the same unit to new customers for $257 currently. This is a joke and I will be moving out after my 30 days is up and going with a more reputable and less greedy company. Public Storage... YOU have lost a long time customer that pays on time every month. read more

We reserved a unit online. The lady from the N. Hayden location in Scottsdale called the day before to confirm and see what time we would arrive. Since we had another 500 miles to drive, we estimated about 4-5 o'clock. We arrived about 3:30 and were told they rented our reserved unit to someone else after they confirmed with us less than 24 hours earlier. She said some gibberish about a reservation only guarantees the rate, not a unit. Their solution was we could park our vehicle with our household goods outside rather than in a garage as planned. Why did they do it? Did they get another day of revenue? Or get out of the half month promotion? We would have been happy to pay the day before, but they said we had to come in. Bottom line, these people are unethical, haven't a clue about customer service and should not be trusted! read more

I came in to Public Storage 5 years ago. Vita was the one who showed me the unit. She was very patient and kind. wanting the best for me. We have kept in touch over the years. My Mom passed away early this year, so we had to close the storage unit. Vita was so helpful, with phone calls back and forth. The Unit had to leave Scottsdale on a specific date, to get to Malibu. Prices are good for the area. I paid about $300 a month (with tax and the cheapest insurance) for a 20 x 10 climate controlled storage unit on the ground floor. Checking in and out was very simple. The staff is also very friendly. It really feels like they'll do just about anything to help you out. The day after I reserved my unit online, I got a call from the manager to confirm the reservation and see if I had any questions. On my first day, my gate code wasn't working, so she gave me a generic one until the problem could be sorted out. I was given a working code by the end of the day. The only negative about the office is there only seems to be one employee working at a time, so you may have to wait. It also closes in the early afternoon so that employee can go to lunch. Moving in and out is also pretty easy. There's also a couple of flat dollies left around to help you out, but I recommend bringing your own, they seem to disappear once in a while, even if you're the only person on the premises. The only thing I don't get is the hours. The storage area is accessible from 6am to 9pm. The office is only open from 9:30am to 6pm. If there are going to be so many hours with no on site staffing, why not just be accessible 24-7? Then again, what would someone be doing at a storage unit overnight? read more

Again very thorough & professional but still friendly at the same time. Would highly recommend. I reserved on line and had a little trouble with web site. Couldn't get confirmation so I called the call center. Very rude male agent. Hung up and called customer service which apparently is different than call center. Lady this time. Different experience entirely. She confirmed my reservation, even called the facility to be certain I was confirmed. These guys are a bunch of crooks. It should be called "Do We Cheatem & How Storage" First off, they advertise a 10x10 for $98. "Click here to lock in you rate". So you click and when you go to book it with a van full of stuff it is now $125. They say the insurance is mandatory and later you find out it isn't. Check the hard to find delete insurance button on you account web page. You can't use you own lock. It has to be a $25 custom lock so they have a master key so I assume to remove your lock and lock you out if you don't pay in time. I was ther for 5 monthe and it went up from $125 to $140 so i left....DON'T USE THESE PEOPLE. read more

Beware! This business will not prorate your fees. I have been renting there for almost 10 years and pay over $400 a month. When I scheduled my move out date on the 10th day of the month. They would not prorate and refund for the rest of the month. I had to pay for the whole month even though I only used 10 days. So if you are planning on moving out of your unit, be sure and do it at the end of the month since you'll get charged for it anyway. What a rip off! read more

Really disappointed with this facility. I really think is a great building at a reasonable price but the service is so terrible that I can't give more than a one star review. I have had so many issues from a customer service stand point that the nice building cannot out weigh the damage the employees have done. First and foremost do not believe the first month for a dollar. That is only for one u it when it is booked under some extreme condition. So don't plan on public coming through on there marketing. Also I have not been to the unit in the last 6 months and have lost my key. I also wanted to give my two day notice. I was told only the district manager can cut locks and I have to wait until the the first four days of the month and no lock can be cut outside of these dates. Very convenient as that is when my monthly payment is due. I was also told I must buy a new lock even though I am taking all of my items out of the unit and do not need a lock. I said fine well let me give my notice of moving out on the second and then I'll come back and move everything out. No dice either I can't give notice until my lock is cut and I pay for the new lock. I said we'll can your promise the district manager will be here on the second as it is a holiday weekend? No was the response. This place is a total joke and just out to pound you with fees over and over again. I doubt I'll ever be able to get my property out of the unit without paying an arm and a leg.
