I have been using Cubesmart for over a year & I have a small 5x8 trailer and have been on the waiting list for a smaller and less expensive spot. I get a call on a Monday saying that one just came up at $134.00. Per month. I am currently at $173.74 per month. So common sense says take the smaller less expensive space. So I called back in 24 hours to accept the spot at $134.00 and now I was told that it is not available at this price and is higher then what I am paying now for a larger space due to what they say is the market price! Confused by this statement. Not sure what they mean by this but I am sure after posting this I will get a notice of another increase because I posted this . I am sure they would tell me it's market condition when they send me the increase notice.. I would hope sometime I would get a notice that the market is lower and they would decrease our space cost. read more

I've been with CubeSmart for four years. Stay far away from the storage. They have raised my rate four times. They will raise your rate every year. It's ridiculous!!! I'm paying $180 more just in rate increases. read more

Cubesmart is the worst storage organization in the industry. They will quote a rate then when you get your bill it will be 30-40% higher. Then when you try to get some to talk to you to resolve it they will ignore you and then lock you out of your unit. The biggest joke is when you call customer service you will hear a message saying they have the top service in the industry, then they will lie and say someone will call you to review the issue and you will get crickets!!!! I had a negative experience with one of the reps at the 115th North Scottsdale location. I took my dog on a walk as we always do and figured we'd grab something real quick from my storage unit. The clerk was told me that I had to get out of the facility because of my dog. Note that I have been there numerous times with my dog but she said I I had to leave. "Corporate policy," she said. I explained to her that I have a support dog and even take my dog to nursing homes - as a volunteer, because my dog is so well-behaved. She said it didn't matter. I literally broke down in tears while explaining this to her. My dog is good canine citizen-certified. Most storage is outdoors. Mine was near the back entry and nobody else was there. It was a clear yet successful attempt to make someone's life just a little more difficult. She was busy talking with some guy and it was clear I was interrupting. This wasn't the first time I had negative interaction with the women at this facility. This is a situation where kindness could have gone a long way as you never know what kind of battle people may be going through. There was no reason why this clerk could not have offered me a bit of grace. This is a storage facility. Not a restaurant or medical facility. Nobody was in the entire location and having my therapy dog with me should not had made a difference to her. This is maybe even against the law. If you're looking for common decency in people, this location didn't have it. I will be sure to never use CubeSmart again and I wish would have chosen the other storage facility located basically across the street. read more

Stay away from here!!! This location's on site manager, Shane, seriously needs to work on customer service. When we moved in a trailer, they failed to let us know the gate locks at 10 pm, from both sides! We could not contact Shane through the phone system and had to call the police. After the police let us out, Shane made us look like fools to the police, saying we never tried to contact them. I know this because the police called us back and asked why we didn't try to contact the site manager. Shane is a liar and has no sympathy for keeping a family and child locked into his storage complex late at night. I went to see him asking for a credit and he told me too bad. We moved out as soon as the month was up. read more

I received my statement for April and the amount due was about $20.00 more than I usually pay so I called to inquire. I was told that they are aloud to change the rent amount whenever they want and apparently I agreed to that in my paperwork.... at this time they also informed me that they would be demolishing the row of units where mine happens to be located... they said they sent out a letter on the 15th and I would need to get all of my stuff out of the unit by mid April. So that's a months notice to move a two bedroom apartment out of that unit, I just moved all my stuff in there 5 months ago... so now I have to pay for movers AGAIN to move my crap from one unit to another.... ohhh and they don't have any units available in the same price range available for when I need to move my crap out... terrible customer service and a terrible company.... my cousin also had her stuff stored there and her couch was covered in termite tunnels when she moved her stuff out 2 months ago. so i called to store our rv, talked to the toll free number, assured me it is 60 feet long and they take rv storage, also talked directly to the store manager via phone 2 times before arriving, again assured me no problem. well as arrived, he comes out and says it wont fit in here! so i have this 55 foot rig with no place to store it ! all the local places are full because it is time to store the rv for the season. finally found a place 120 miles away. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH CUBESMART AGAIN, also i will not renew in denver either for my storage unit. cost me so much time and diesel fuel to drive to you and then to drive 2 hour to another place. not to mention 2 hour drive to pick it up when i want to use it next time. #FRUSTRATEDCUSTOMER read more

Found this Cubesmart through a 3rd party website and was a little skeptical only because I had never stored anything in a facility before, but I was extremely impressed with the customer service I experienced from both Tricia and Tj! (Scroll down for my thoughts on the place in general) I initially was only going to store a few belongings there, but ended storing my car there as well (more about that in a second). I received a phone call from Tricia shortly after booking the unit through the third party site. She was/is one of the sweetest people I've ever talked to. She was thorough in explaining everything from pricing to answering any questions I had as well as being personable, which can be hard through a phone conversation. Little did she know her upbeat attitude and ginuineness relieved the stress I was having about storing my things. Not only that; but made me feel better as I was going through a rough time which is why I had to store my things in the first place. Thank you Tricia! Now to Mr. Tj! All i can say is he is beyond AWESOME! As I said before I wasn't going to store my car, but circumstances changed and because Tricia was so great I decided to check to see if they stored vehicles as well. I went back the following day and Tj was there and he even remembered me from the day prior. He got me all set up, explained everything in detail, cracked some jokes and even gave me a few places to look at in my apt search. Not only that, but after we said our goodbyes I had to go back to my car, grab a few things then wait for an uber to take me to the airport. Tj offered to drive me back to my car, but I opted to walk instead. By the time I got all of my things out of the car and looked up Tj and the golf cart were there to help me as well as drive me back to the front where the uber driver was waiting! This was probably the best and one of the most memorable customer service experiences I've had! If you're looking for a safe, (double gated and video camera monitored as well as climate controlled) immaculately clean place to store your things with no worries; and beyond awesome people you can trust this is your place! I've never used this business and never will for the following reason: I ordered a climbing harness and helmet for my daughter to join us rock climbing outdoors for her first time this weekend on Mt. Lemmon. I ordered off back country ( a great online outdoor store just fyi) and according to the tracking number it was delivered on Tuesday at 11.54 am handed to and signed by a THORNE. Cube Smarts address is off by one number from mine so I see how this could happen. I walked over there and politely explained to him that I believe he signed for my package. He denied that whole thing. Said UPS made a mistake. How they mistakenly received his signature is beyond me. It gets better! I checked with the office manager of the apartment complex I reside at and she told me that this is not the first time it has happened. So apparently there are multiple residents having their packages signed and accepted by TJ Thorne and then they magically disappear. I called backcountry and UPS so they can do an investigation and file a dispute against him. Seriously, you stole a package from a 5 year old Thorne, way to be a crappy human being! read more
