They both dove into an issue I was having and were able to figure it out and helped get it resolved.They also gave me so much information with regards to accessing my outside unit in the winter. They told me to call ahead if I needed to get into my unit and they would make sure I was able to access after a snowfall. They said they would check it out and remove any snow so I could easily get into my unit. I also got a call right away from the billing department confirming they had taken care of my issue. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After only one year, my rent has already been raised to over $200 per month from under $100 a month. On top of that, be very wary during the winter. Ice and snow build up badly around the drive-up doors, making access unsafe and difficult. The biggest issue was when a huge chunk of ice/snow fell from the roof and almost landed on my head. It was extremely dangerous and could have seriously injured me. The property does not feel properly maintained during winter conditions, and renters should know what they may be dealing with. Between the rent increase and the safety concerns, I would not recommend this storage facility to anyone. read more

And just when I thought that these people couldn't get any more underhanded...they raised my rent for a 10' x 10' unit to $204 per month! I complained to corporate to get it lowered, but she tricked me. After lying to me, saying that the going rate for my type unit was $195, I called her out with proof in print (see below) saying it was $113 if rented in-store and $90 online (which I did). She then left me thinking that I would get the GOING RATE for my type/size unit, but nope! She snuck it down to only $15 lower than the $204 by literallly lying to me AGAIN, saying that the $15 bucks was a "courtesy" for the past 6 months of overcharging me! This lady was a district manager from Quincy MA (no idea why she called when my unit is in Seabrook NH). She said that she could not email me a receipt or explanation of our deal...she was "not allowed to receive or send email in her position as District Manager"...excuse me, what?? (I've received emails from them before.) That is so ridiculous and so anti-business-like! She then told me to call in a month to discuss next month's rent, but guess what...when I did, she slammed me with $183 per month for 6 months (when the going rate for my unit in my building was $90/$113)! So why was I supposed to call? She claims we had already decided on the $183, but yet she wanted me to call to what? Just say hi? This isn't over. P.S. Be careful...this storage place loves auctioning off people's abandoned storage units, which is why I think they try to drive people out. I cannot stress enough how much I hate Public Storage! We had them in the past in Weymouth, MA and were not fans then but they have given us yet another reason to loathe them. In Weymouth there was never anyone there when you had questions. Super unreliable. In Seabrook, I was with the previous storage company and they were great. When I found out it was changing to Public Storage I was very unhappy but I knew I wouldnt be there much longer. Not only did a mouse make a home in the dryer I was storing there, but we moved out on the 6th - I paid on the first. Apparently I should not have paid on the first. I wasunder the impression that if you move out by the 10th of the month that they prorate. Nope - not at all. How can they justify charging an entire month when I was there for 6 days out of the month?! I called but of course the supervisor was less than willing to help and sounded as though he had just woken up from a nap. Good to see that you have your best people in power roles. Stay away from SEABROOK NH Public Storage...they will raise your storage unit price $30 to $100 per year! I had to have it out with their corporate office once (my rent went to $195 for a 10' x 10'), and they temporarily gave me a fair price, but go figure...it was just increased another $32!! The sad part is that other units in the same building are lower...sometimes a LOT lower. How can they do that? Especially to long-time customers like myself? I am moving my things out at the end of this month for sure. Hopefully, this will forewarn all of you...WATCH OUT...your first month's rent could double next year!! read more

Horrible customer service. Just like that the rate goes up from $130/month to $162/month. I asked them to match their online rate, they said no. Said I could move my belongings from my unit to one a few feet away and signup as new to get the discount. Seriously? Who does that? Wow. Needless to say, we're moving down the street to Prime Storage, and getting the same thing for $60/month less. Which, for us having two units, saves us a considerable $120/month.
