Bought a auctioned unit online...terms of service state that needs to be payed for and cleaned out asap and 1pm won I was there at 2pm after calling leaving messages...no return callback ...sat there for 2 hours still no show and no callback....does anyone work here cause there's someone living there...on site must work when they want to well since no callback ill just go higher up to the district manager and so on...now it's 9pm closing time I've already emailed the site I bought unit thru and they are emailing the people who post the ad....talk about lazy ...prolly just buying time for the person who owned it to get money...but I've already contacted the correct people so it won't matter read more

I am happy with the location, security and cleanliness of the unit I am renting. I am also very happy with the people who work there. However, I would not recommend any Public Storage rental because the company forces you to sign up for insurance when you rent the unit. You can later go into your account and cancel the insurance, but they are banking on many renters forgetting to do that. It is a scam. I currently rent two units at two locations and did cancel the insurance writhing 30 days. But I don't like Public Storage's tricky policy. read more

The rental rates are way too high for a non climate-controlled environment. I have had this unit for a few years and it keeps going up and there is nothing being updated or upgraded to justify. I will be moning everything out in the next month and moving to a more reasonable AND climate controlled inside storage facility and it's about 40 buck a month cheaper for the same size. Also I should add that several times over these past winters I was not able to access my unit due to the lot not being cleared of snow and ice or door/gate blocked by snow. read more

Bait-and-Switch on rental rates Only been a customer at this location for 4 months and they are already raising the rate by $80/mo. while still offering the same price I started with to "new customers". This happened last year to two other people I know. Not just for this location. Public Storage waits until you get settled in and raises the rate, for me by 33%. Time to find a different company that will not do a bait-and-switch. They never said my rate was an introductory rate or anything like that. They are losing my long-term business. The storage unit itself was fine; however, I was charged for an additional month after moving out (on time) and talked with the manager who assured me they would fix it. Instead they sent it to collections and I now have to deal with that dispute... terrible systems and customer service. read more

I should have taken a picture before I moved out of the unit! The Public Storage on Buerkle Rd and access to the units is absolutely ridiculous! There is so much snow on the site...Piles and piles of snow in front of units and access doors to the inside units. Fortunately, I only had to walk 2 or 3 times farther to get to my unit. If I had an outside unit, and had to access it, I would be so mad! There were places the only way to get there was to back down the entire drive to get to the units. I had one of those as well. Never again will I use that facility and going forward, I will be sure to ask the next facility what they do with the snow!!! All those units, all that money and they can't move the snow? At first when I was in a bit of a bind, it was great. Moved in to a unit quickly and at a reasonable price. Fast forward a year and my monthly rent has tripled. When I asked why it keeps going up I was not given a straight answer. Instead I was told " if you move all of your stuff from unit b032 to b034, the monthly rent would go back down to where it was originally at." Fast forward another year and it has again tripled and the unit I moved to had a broken light switch. I mentioned it and still it has not been fixed. Triple the rental fee and can't even replace a light switch or hire exterminator to keep mice away. Very unhappy with this place and am going to find somewhere else to store my stuff. read more

Great experience! Nancy followed up by phone with me after I reserved online. She scheduled a check-in with me and explained what would happen when I went to check-in. Paul checked m in and was very friendly. He did a great job explaining the costs, access, insurance, etc. Paul and Nancy were both helpful and compassionate about my situation. I had my storage unit in Maplewood, Minnesota. I didn't have the unit for three weeks before it, and thirteen other units were supposedly broken into and robbed. I was not notified, I would not have even known about it had I not sent my brother there to pick something up for me because I was out of town. The lock on the unit was changed so my brother went to the office and asked whats up? They not only did not question who my brother was, but allowed him to empty the remaining contents out of the unit and close the unit account!! All without asking me or notifying me of a damn thing! Now, of corse the insurance policy that I purchased on the unit was null and void because the account was closed!!!! What a joke!!!!!! I lost a ton of valuables!!!! They will be hearing from my lawyers. read more

This location and Paul in particular were lifesavers for me! I got caught needing to find, reserve, sign for and fill a large unit all on the same day and this was a great place that met all of my needs. I loved being able to check unit availability online and then make a reservation. When I called asking if I could come sign for the unit he assured me that anytime I showed up I would be helped. Paul was very friendly and explained all of the policies in a clear way and was helpful later when we showed up with a huge moving truck and movers. This location also can accommodate up to 53' trucks pulling up directly in front of units. Finding, this location was a last minute stroke of good luck and I am happy that we will be doing business for the near future together. read more

I chose my rental storage unit for the price. It was $85/mnth. Then Public Storage bought out the facility. They told me my rate would be the same for the next year and then would raise up $15 the next year. Well it is less than 6 months after the switch, and I am now paying $132 for the same space. No one let me know it was going to be raised 2 times in the last 6 months. When I called with my concern, I was told it's because of demand of storage units. I left public storage to go to this company only to be bought out be them yet again. Need to find another place. read more

This company falsely advertises the size of their storage units. The fine print says "approximate dimensions", however it wasn't even close. We rented a 10 x 15 unit online and when we got there and measured the unit, it was just over 13 feet.... not even close to the advertised 15 foot dimension. So, the night before we were moving we had a useless storage facility for our belongings. Paul in the office was terrific and refunded our money, but if dimensions are important to you, then don't believe what is on their website read more

I got a good price on a small indoor unit and only had to pay the $1 move in plus the admin fee. I suggest you bring a lock with you and find out what type you will need to save some money before arriving because public storage policy states the lock has to be put on immediately. Menards is only 5 minutes away and you can stop on your way. This location has excellent managers and they were very fast and helpful. I went to 2 other storage places before this and they were not as easy to deal with, I recommend coming here first if they have the right size available. read more

I needed to rent a storage space for storing items during a renovation and did in line shopping for units and this location had the cheapest on line rate than their competitors. I went to the location and the manager was there to show me the unit, which was clean and ready to go, getting the paperwork completed was simple and quick. I loved the property manager, Nancy. She was so cheerful and personable! I am not sure I like the company as a whole, since I am a new customer. I definitely did not like that they require insurance, which added another $11 to my monthly rental in addition to the advertised price. Property manager Paul was rude and condescending when I walked in to talk about some billing issues and questions, specifically getting billed with a late penalty 3 weeks after we moved out. He said that the could not acknowledge a termination confirmation from their website and we were responsible for remember him mentioning a few items 18 months before and it was not his problem if we did not remember. There would have been no issue if Paul would have had a conversation with us instead of instantly turning his tone negative and condescending when I mentioned what I walked in to talk about, since he didn't return any of my numerous calls. read more

Paul did a fantastic job of explaining everything to me and showing me the unit. He also discussed some of their deals on boxes and packing material.
