If you don't commit on the phone, you will start getting calls from the local storage place asking when you are coming in to sign your contract. You will feel like you just sat through a presentation to buy a time share. Then call Lorna for the complete opposite experience. Lorna is soft-spoken, friendly, helpful and understands the value of being nice to people. All of these places charge around the same price so why not do business with someone who genuinely enjoys her customers? Lorna is the best and I have talked to them all (at least in this area).

I was at the building early so no one was on property. I used my phone to open the gate and was able to get to my climate controlled unit easily. Carts were provided which was a nice touch. I realized they stay there 24/7 and accessible even if staff are not with is great. The floors were clean and my unit was spotless. My lock was inside the unit when I got there so it again was so seamless. If there was any gripe it would be 2 things. 1) the key pad to get into climate controlled building needs to be replaced. It works but has seen better days. 2) the elevator is slow as molasses when going up. But, that is me really trying to find something to pick at.

When I signed up I was paying $68 a month, by the time I moved out, I was paying $155/month for a unit they were advertising to new customers right now online for just $72/month. When I reached out to ask if they could match the new-customer rate or offer something more reasonable, they only offered me $25 off. That didn't feel like much of a thank-you for being a loyal customer for half a decade. Facility also rarely had the restrooms open almost any time I visited, even during office hours. Most facility's I looked at have restrooms available during all access hours. I ended up moving to a different storage facility that's not only brand new, but gave me the same size unit for even less than the cubesmart new-customer rate. Disappointing experience overall--CubeSmart doesn't seem to value long-term customers.
