Chiffon berry cake another time around

I love when it comes to celebrations and folks rave about the cake and as usual the response goes, "thanks, it's Publix!" The bakery department pulls all the stops in making sure your cake is scrumptious when you order ahead of time. I even browse the wedding section cakes for their "naked" cakes because they look so pretty but can downsize to fit your celebration needs, not just for weddings. I like the fresh fruits, light whipped cream frosting, herbs like mint or sage. The signature cakes aren't overly sweet and truly elevate any occasion plus the best part about being an adult is having cake for breakfast or tasting your name in frosting haha I love the BOGO deals at Publix plus they carry some unique, hard to find items as well. I like perusing the international section for different meal ideas to switch up meal planning. Easy in and out plus their pharmacy is wicked fast. Had a quick turnaround time getting my flu vaccine plus they have the forms for your job to show the lot number and manufacturer which makes it easier for work requirements. Shopping is always a pleasure at your local Publix!

This is by far my favorite location. They always have the items I need and their sandwiches are pretty awesome. It's a super convenient location not too far from the Naval weapons station.

We love going to grab subs for lunch on Saturday. My go to is the Publix Italian, Provolone Cheese lettuce, Garlic pickles, banana peppers and Jalapeños. I love for it to have a lol kick yum!

Publix Super Market at St. James Shopping Center

Publix Super Market at St. James Shopping Center in Goose Creek is a well managed Publix location that has everything that you need for groceries and more. I have been happy with all of the purchases that I have made from here and their level of customer service.

How anyone doesn't love Publix is beyond me. From the second I walk in the door to the second I drive away smiling, I have had nothing short of a wonderful shopping experience. I walk in, there is a friendly person stocking something or other who greets me with a smile. I wander the store and am always impressed with the selection and reasonable prices. The meats, seafod, and produce are always super fresh. The seafood counter guys really know their stuff, and I am always bugging the poor produce dept with " where's this or that?". I am always helped out with a smile. Checkout is speedier than your average grocery store. There is always a bagger to take my groceries out without my having to ever ask as well! As a matter of fact last week I had 8 very full and very large canvas bags, and because it was thanksgiving week, and they were SUPER busy, and I am a fit 40 year old, I said that I'd just take my cart out without help... the bagger looked at me like I was silly, and insisted on helping me out. I wanted to kiss him!!! I will never shop anywhere else...EVER!

The worse delivery option instacart. Do not use it because of the box of chocolates theory. Shoppers are all different.

It has an incredible bakery section, an ice cream and dessert area, and one very large eatery with two sections depending on what type of food you want. Everything in the eatery is authentically cooked and prepared with the freshest of ingredients. I couldn't resist ordering the fish tacos. They only sell in 3s; however, all the other tacos you can buy just one. My fish was grilled to perfection and well seasoned with a cilantro salsa, cheese, lettuce, fresh tomatoes and lime wedges. Yummy! It also came with a spicy crema, which is absolutely amazing. The heat held on with a slight burn at the end. The bakery section was filled with incredible pastries and cakes and sweet breads, donuts,Flans, churros... you name it, they've got it. They also have a full produce are with fresh fruit and vegetables and great prices. The butcher area was filled with a variety of meats for any style of cooking. Their spice aisle was amazing! So many things to choose from. I think we spent at least a couple of hours here just exploring the store, enjoying the food and loving the atmosphere with upbeat Latina/Hispanic music. Everything was clean, organized and well displayed. Service was amazing with friendly faces and smiles. It's my new favorite place to shop and enjoy a meal. Great place for families!

Aside from that this is just like any other Walmart that dominating any given neighborhood. A huge sprawling parking lot with enough space under one roof to get in a mile of walking, if one were so compelled. The Walmart in North Charleston doesn't seem to interested in great customer service as the personal are sparse; both walking around and at the registers (they're slowing closing down self-checkout). As for the food, it has what one has come to expect from Walmart, average products at a low cost however when it comes to fruit and veggies, the supply is somewhat limited and the fruit needs a lot of washing. In fact, I've stopped buying fruit b/c of all the flies that come home with it. Even washing it when I get home doesn't mean the flies are gone as they migrate before I can deal with them. The baked goods are average however please note if you buy the discounted perishable items, they go bad QUICK. I've also found they're limited in toys as I tried to purchase some items for my kids but they only have the absolute most popular items. So, if you want that GI Joe action figure, you won't find it here, or at least anything new. As for electronics, they have most of the newest gaming consoles, games and controllers however 4k media is limited, but that's a standard among all stores now as physical media continues to be replaced by inferior forms of content like streaming. Most items like pet food and accessories are in abundance, hardware and housing goods have most of what someone needs and the kitchen section has a lot of average equipment to great stuff depending on what you need. For example, the knife selection is horrible but mixers are just as good as anywhere else. I do all of my vitamin and specialty medicine (not prescription) from Walmart as it's the cheapest. Overall, Walmart is exactly what you expect anywhere and that's by design. The only real differences are subtle things that regionally might sell better at one place then another state won't offer a product as it won't make sense. Think of a heavy winter coat for sale in Texas - it isn't needed. Finally, Walmart is bringing back the cashier so the wait times may vary. Other than those items, it's Walmart you know what you want.
