This location was very overcrowded and chaotic. I stopped on it to grab one quick pet item. The layout is flipped from my normal location. It took a few minutes to navigate through the crowd to find the pet supplies. The price was reasonable. The checkout lines were very long, especially the express lines (15 items or less). I ended up going to a check out lane with a cashier and he was very sweet and friendly, such good customer service. There are accessible restrooms and onsite parking. read more

As of writing this, they're repaving the parking lot so it might take a while to find a spot and walk to the entrance. Aside from that this is just like any other Walmart that dominating any given neighborhood. A huge sprawling parking lot with enough space under one roof to get in a mile of walking, if one were so compelled. The Walmart in North Charleston doesn't seem to interested in great customer service as the personal are sparse; both walking around and at the registers (they're slowing closing down self-checkout). As for the food, it has what one has come to expect from Walmart, average products at a low cost however when it comes to fruit and veggies, the supply is somewhat limited and the fruit needs a lot of washing. In fact, I've stopped buying fruit b/c of all the flies that come home with it. Even washing it when I get home doesn't mean the flies are gone as they migrate before I can deal with them. The baked goods are average however please note if you buy the discounted perishable items, they go bad QUICK. I've also found they're limited in toys as I tried to purchase some items for my kids but they only have the absolute most popular items. So, if you want that GI Joe action figure, you won't find it here, or at least anything new. As for electronics, they have most of the newest gaming consoles, games and controllers however 4k media is limited, but that's a standard among all stores now as physical media continues to be replaced by inferior forms of content like streaming. Most items like pet food and accessories are in abundance, hardware and housing goods have most of what someone needs and the kitchen section has a lot of average equipment to great stuff depending on what you need. For example, the knife selection is horrible but mixers are just as good as anywhere else. I do all of my vitamin and specialty medicine (not prescription) from Walmart as it's the cheapest. Overall, Walmart is exactly what you expect anywhere and that's by design. The only real differences are subtle things that regionally might sell better at one place then another state won't offer a product as it won't make sense. Think of a heavy winter coat for sale in Texas - it isn't needed. Finally, Walmart is bringing back the cashier so the wait times may vary. Since moving back to the area. Every single delivery has been missing orderes, or showing up damaged. I am disabled and have extremely limited income, so the new minimum order limit makes having to pay to fix their mistakes highly irritating. I really really don't want to leave this review, but this, and the neighborhood wallmart near me, are both disgraceful. Piss poor service, no respect given to the shoppers. I would like to add that, in agreement with most of the other reviews, not only is the the store dirty and poorly-stocked most times, in addition to the employees being rude, many of them CAN NOT SPEAK ENGLISH! Nothing pisses me off more than that, as I can handle the other problems, such as washing off my products when I get home. I get the feeling that the non-English-speaking employees, if not having outright resentment for American, English-speaking customers, could care less about helping them. The times I have shopped at this store and overheard two or more employees prattling on in a foreign language, usually south of border dialects, I can not begin to count. When, however, a customer needs assistance by asking in English, he/she may get a slight smile from the employee muttering in Spanish or very broken English that he/she has no idea of what you are asking him/her. The next time this happens, I have made my mind up to demand of that employee to fetch his/her supervisor so that I can complain further. By the way, this is not the only Walmart with this problem, as nearly all Walmarts in the Tri-county area have the same hiring practices----if one is brown and has mobility, then one is hired. If I could give this place -100 stars I would. The absolute worst Walmart I have ever been in all the from customer service to cleanliness. It was absolutely down right gross. No carts or bags for produce. Things were just dumped into places not matching prices at all. Out of all the registers there were 2 self check outs open & two regular registers. The lines were well over 50 people deep at self check out & 30 deep at regular registers. Save your self a trip & go to Kroger or anywhere else is better than this place. This Walmart has improved greatly over the last 3 years that I've lived in the area. Renovations and updates were made to the building, the checkout equipment and the overall look/feel of the place. Plus, theyve added the Pickup section up front which makes online ordering so much easier Ie: if you order a large screen tv, you dont have to lug it from the back of the store anymore! It's generally cleaner than it used to be as well. Happy to stop in when I need to, but its still chaotic at times - ESPECIALLY on Sundays. During the week is the best time to visit. read more

Literally needed photos in a pinch for a last minute event and against my better judgement I sent them to the 1 hour photo option. They were done in the hour. But I waited 45 minutes just for someone to just grab it for me. I asked three employees, called customer service, they paged two times and no one came. I would give less if I could. Since they closed the self checkout plan to spend a minimum of 20 minutes in line to check your own groceries out. And apparently the first line is now for 10 items or less but you wouldn't know it because there are no signs to indicate that. App vs reality of inventory is an absolute lie. Like other stores in North Charleston, there is no evidence to support that a backshift of employees to stock shelves and replenish inventory exists. I usually tend to drive to another Wal-Mart in Goose Creek, Summerville, or Mt. Pleasant; but sometimes you have to bite the bullet an go to this location because it's closer. I really wish I could give this crappy store negative stars but it won't let me. Went to this store because we had ordered something online for instore pickup since they had the item there already. The initial email said it would take about an hour before it was ready (they had the item in stock). So I go to the store a little over an hour later to see if it was ready. I went to the I store pickup counter and the lady working there seemed a little confused, and sent me to the electronics section to see if they had pulled the item. So I go there and the guy was confused about why she sent me there. He went back and looked for my order but it wasn't there. I told him that it's been an hour and I was checking on the status of it had been pulled or not. He was like it doesn't work that way blah blah blah. But according to the website, if I have an account and I go to the counter they will go ahead and pull the item for me right away. Didn't happen. So the i rial email said it would be ready by 5:30 pm Sunday, it's now Monday and it still isn't ready. This Walmart is a joke and we are canceling our order and going to a different store. I knew I should of not went to this location. I went on my lunch break to return a few items I purchased online. I stood in line at customer service for about 15 minutes. In typical Walmart fashion, one person was working the desk. There was five employees standing around at the desk, but not helping the one employee at the register. Once I was able to return my items, the employee told me my items were non-refundable. She could not give me a clear reason as to why that was. I left with my items. Keep in mind, I had the shipping slip and items which were unopened. It was a total waste of time. read more

I really like this Walmart Supercenter. It is very convenient to get to off of the interstate or rivers. It has everything you need to get by and is a really big store. They have plenty of self serve checkout lines so you can do it yourself and many times that is quicker. Very cool Walmart. read more

Disgusting dirty place low down LYING employees! I AM THROUGH WITH THIS PLACE ! I HATE THIS PLACE! Today I was accused of stealing because of an employee. There was something that was ringing up as a 3 piece set. I called over the employee and even asked if she wanted me to void the entire transaction to find out what it is. She said no and just voided it. I paid for my order and waited for her to come back to see what to do. She said it was fine that I could go so I went. While waiting for my ride, I was surrounded by 3 employees, some undercover security and a police officer. She asked me if I paid for the item which was a sign I had from the dollar store. I said yes and handed her my receipt. Well she accused me of stealing other things. The officer went through my personal bag, all my shopping bags (which I had receipts for everything) and my 2week old god sons carseats! She got mad because it was proven I had paid for everything! Meanwhile people with TVS were walking PAST ME AND THEY WEREN'T CHECKING RECEIPTS!This is the same employee who tries to put her nasty hands in my children or god children's carseats when I clearly have a car seat cover that stairs "DO NOT TOUCH. Your germs are too big for me!" I am SICK Of this place, I have NEVER stolen anything and I work hard for my money to spend it! Today we were getting money orders to pay taxes off. The lady in the money center was unbelievably sweet and showed me papers saying please beware of fraud and told me to make sure I'm sending money to the right place.
