Ok, given that I live around the corner from this location and I've ONLY gone to this Publix (other than the 4 years I was at college) in all my time growing up, I think I have seen this place go through all the phases possible. In my 20 + years going to this Publix, I have to say it is definitely not the best Miami location, but I also have to say it is definitely not the worst. Yes, the employees are Spanish-speaking, which can get frustrating at times if you don't speak the language and/or are not from Miami, etc. Yes, the parking lot gets crowded, not because there aren't any spots, but more because the "viejos" driving around don't know where they are going and don't follow the traffic laws. Finally, yes, the aisles can get crowded as well by people standing right in the middle as they shop instead of moving their carts to the side. However, as someone mentioned in their review, they have an excellent deli, bakery, and seafood area. Just the other night my mom brought home delicious frosted brownies from the bakery; I also frequent the seafood section and purchase sushi platters for lunch. Usually, I stop in to pick up one or two things at a time and don't get overwhelmed... This Publix has a good side to it as well as it's messy side, but overall if you frequent it at the correct hours (aka not rush hour!) you will get by just fine. read more

What happened to Publix? Quality and service used to be great. Just got back from my second trip for lamb and both times the meat has been ROTTEN. All I got was "here is your money back". You would think the manager would have some kind of attention with me for not making a big stink about it in front of customers by pulling him aside and being discrete, but no. Can't wait for Amazon Fresh fully incorporating Whole Foods. Grocery stores will be reduced to nothing more than convenience stores if they make it transactional in nature without that personal attention. I've always thought of Publix supermarkets as "nicer" than most as far as service and products are concerned. I'm new to the Miami area and this Publix wasn't too far from my house so I gave it a shot. The deli area was a disaster. People were all over the place and there was no organization. I went to Publix initially to buy a rotisserie chicken since my range is out of service and waiting for repair. BUT there was an actual fly inside of one of the bags of chicken........ should I known better than to purchase anything after that, but I was hungry and couldn't cook-- so I went ahead purchased some hot food and unfortunately got sick that night & threw it up. Hoping all Publix supermarkets in Miami aren't run this way. Going to try another one out or suck it up and go to Whole Foods for freshness. read more

They will count your items to make sure you don't have 11 items in the 10 or less items even though they do t have no one in line. The should open more register if they don't want anyone using those lines. read more

Shopping at this Publix isn't always a pleasure. The customers are rude, parking is scarce and if you have to get anything from the deli, you'll need at least 2 hours. For just a little longer drive, the Publix at Mary Brickell Village is much better. There is also Miliam's on US1 and 32nd, although they tend to be a bit more expensive than Publix. read more

I have to tell you that I love grocery shopping. It's a strange thing, but I absolutely love going to the grocery store... So, of course, I decided to visit my new :) neighborhood Publix on 27th Ave and boy was I disappointed. It may not be the store's fault for the most part- the overcrowded parking lot and the even more overly crowded aisles, but there are too many people at this Publix at any given point of the day. The overly crowded store could use a bit more spacing in between aisles. Two grocery carts don't fit at once and you are constantly bumping into things, carts, and people. I don't think I have said "Excuse Me.. I'm so sorry.." so many times in an hour. I'm sure the overpopulated state of the grocery store is a wonderful sign of fresh food and great service, but they really need to do something about the aisle situation! This Publix was like any other grocery store. Friendly staff, short lines, and has everything you need.

Your Deli is a disgrace! They never have chicken wings ready and the tenders are least cold and they close the deli super early. It's the worst Publix I've ever been to in my entire life! I love Publix, especially the ones on the beach where I used to live, but this one is the absolute worst. I'll never shop there again. They need new management. Bernie the checkout guy is cool though, don't fire him. Also, I gave the girl at checkout a $2 bill and she insisted it was fake and didn't want to let me check out. read more

This is the publix that I shop at the most. The staff of very friendly and always have gone out of there way to help me look for something when I need. The downside of this publix is that when it gets full the parking can be a pain. There's parking on the side that you can use but you have to pay for. But besides that always a pleasant experience shopping with them for groceries. Especially now with there deli online ordering system. read more

HORRIBLE customer service. I went in one time and requested quarters. I stood in customer service for a HALF hour, and they kept calling for people behind me. I finally had to shove my face in theirs and demand a roll of quarters. I checked when I got home, and they were nickels. Thanks jerks! It is always crowded, especially with rude children and unaware parents. I swear I've almost gotten knocked down at least 4 times. Prices are worse than some other Publix as well. Always crowded and customer service is often sub-par. Customer Service Reps aren't always willing to give 100%. Lines are long, aisles are narrow. Definitely not my favorite place to shop at, but it'll do if I'm in the area. read more

I am publix customer for many years and never have I ever said good morning to an employee and they roll their eyes at a customer. The deli attendant named Ailyn was absolutely rude. She slammed the items I purchased on the counter with disdain. It's embarrassing for Publix to employ this type of individual who lack delivery of customer service. I often shop at Publix on SW 27 Ave. And the only reason Im writing this review is to bring people attention to one girl who works there and has name tag "Maybol". She greets clients. Always smile and seems happy. Very polite. She did degustation of some cheese and hams and it was pleasant to feel, that at least one person who is working at this store, can make your day. Never seen anyone with so good vibes and happy personalty. I told her, she is the best, but hopefully management will appreciate and treasure employees as Maybal. read more

This is a nice Publix to have in our neighborhood. Almost everything I need is available here - it would be nice to have more organic/pasture raised/grass fed options, but for a neighborhood Publix it is quite nice. The employees are consistently lovely. And I just discovered they will slice their grass fed top sirloin to make four pieces of "palomilla" or "steak sandwich" cut beef. Like most Miami food markets that specifically caters to Hispanics this store makes money by sales volume...However for the customer it can be a very uncomfortable place to shop.The store has been remodeled several times,but what I mean is the "ambiance" If you're not Hispanic & a mediocre one, you'll be lost in this tacky sub-culture. Checking out & without acknowledging me, both cashier & bagger continuously talked to each other in Spanish while pointing to one of my food items and making faces of disgust. ARE THEY CRAZY ? I used to love this publix, now I hate going there. The Deli is a complete disaster, I worked at a deli for 5 years and that's how the way to run a place. You literally wait 30 minutes with only 3 numbers in front of you, I get it the employees have all the time in the world until their shift is over, how nice. I give 2 stars because there is still some nice employees there, like this one told guy who is a cashier, always smiling, asking about your day and making sure shopping at publix really is a pleasure. Worst Publix in Miami. It's impossible to get any help from the employees, the parking is terrible, and the store is too small.

Shopping at this Publix was NOT a pleasure. The staff is NOT knowledgeable or helpful. I went to order a sub and was waiting for about thirty minutes. All of the staff look clueless and work slow. They definitely do not know how to multi-task or know how to prioritize (what is important now vs. what can be done later). I believe that the customer comes first, otherwise, you lose customers. Back to the sub line, so I waited for about thirty minutes, then we finally got service from a spanish lady who didn't even know how to make an American sub. She asked us what we wanted in our sandwich and we told her, well it's on your menu, YOU SHOULD KNOW WHAT IS IN IT! She tried to make excuses for her lack of knowledge on her eight sub menu....very sad. The hot foods section closes at 7 p.m., this is the only Publix I know of that does this. Entering and exiting the store is also an issue because most people, INCLUDING EMPLOYEES, will enter through the exit, or exit through the entrance. The workers are not motivated or competent. I'm sorry but this Publix needs help AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. I will never go back to this Publix again even though it's near by. read more

I'm a Publix fan; however this is the by far the worst Publix I've ever been to. It's almost comically awful. It starts when you turn into the parking lot; it's absolute chaos, always packed, terribly designed. The store itself is cramped and dingy, and has a limited selection compared to the newer Publix further north on Biscayne and even the similarly small Publix in Mary Brickell. The deli area cannot handle even a small line. Also, note, the deli here exclusively sells Board Head meats, no Publix brand. The customer service is pretty much non-existent (which, sadly, seems rather common across the board for Publixes in Miami, but this place is the worst). The parking lot can also get a little creepy; I've been approached numerous times by hustlers. I would avoid this location and either venture further North/South or brave the Mary Brickell garage and opt for that Publix instead (which will validate your parking) read more
