Despite having plenty of employees on the floor, service was extremely slow. The employee making my sub openly complained to her coworker about items not being stocked and moved at an exaggeratedly slow pace the entire time. I ordered one of the simplest subs possible, yet she kept walking away and taking unnecessary trips back and forth. At one point, another employee was standing behind the counter and asked if I was being helped. I honestly said I didn't know, because the woman making my sub kept walking away and disappearing. Even after telling her three separate times to add mayo, she still forgot it. The customer behind me finished their order before mine, which made the delay feel intentional. Other customers were clearly irritated, including a group of teens openly commenting on how slow the service was. A man even tried to skip me in line, saying he needed to rush back to work. The lack of professionalism continued throughout the area. A young male behind the counter called the woman next to me "sweetie" and placed the price tag from her sub on his own shirt as a placeholder while working. It was strange, unhygienic, and uncomfortable to watch. I hadn't had a Publix sub in a long time and was looking forward to it, but this location has seriously gone downhill. Poor attitudes, no urgency, and behavior that doesn't belong in a professional food-service environment. Very disappointing. First stop: deli for made to order sandwiches. I have to admit, the prices were unreal in 2026. A 12 incher just 6.99. A 6 incher 4.99. Wow. Sure beats Publix sub prices. So we got an Italian 12 inch to split. Clerk was a little miffed that we actually made her do her job. Whatever. We strolled over to the cafe where we could pay for our sandwich and get a can of soda for 99 cents. It's actually laughable but the two staffers in the cafe were so mean and rude for no reason other than we wanted to pay for our food. There was no work involved. And actually they did nothing. I scanned my card and got my receipt. Seriously. The nastiness of not only the deli clerk ( who actually had to make a sandwich) to the two clerks in the cafe ( which had nothing to do) was so amazing to me that I had to post this. There is NO excuse for the rude and lack of human decent behavior. This store needs to implement some sort of customer service training or get rid of these horrible employees.

I picked out the bags I wanted, but when I got to the register, they rang up at full price. I asked for help, and the first manager, Lucy, was dismissive and unhelpful. Then Humberto, another manager, came over. I explained that I was going by what the sign said, and he told me customers move things around. I let him know I work in retail and understand how things can get misplaced--but instead of resolving the issue, he kept blaming customers. I'm not usually one to complain, but if you're working in customer service, you should have the people skills to handle situations respectfully and professionally. I left feeling disappointed and unheard.

Opted for the hot foods and salad bar. The hot foods didn't look too appetizing but the salad bar options were interesting so I went with that. Nicely topped my greens, spinach and kale with an abundance of goodies. Went to get my oil and vinegar (not a fan of bottled dressings) and the olive oil container was empty. Asked no less than FOUR staff to refill the olive oil (all said we have no more) until the final 5th got the olive oil refilled but didn't tell me. Another customer told me it was refilled. WHAT? No way is this acceptable in any world. Honestly, I don't know why this place has 4 stars. Must not be for the food bar. Oh, and containers are all thin flimsy cardboard even for the salads and wet food. Ugh!! I was able to convince the sushi guy to give me a plastic liquid-proof container, hence the 1 star.
