I love Publix. They may be on the pricier side, but I trust the freshness and quality of their products, especially their meats. You can definitely taste the difference with USDA quality meat compared to some places that try to cut corners. One of my favorite departments is the seafood counter because they often have great deals. I used to only eat oysters at restaurants, but Publix has changed that. They recently had oysters on sale for just $0.89 each, and they were huge! I love being able to buy as many as I want and prepare them exactly how I like at home instead of paying restaurant prices. I still order oysters when I dine out, but honestly, some restaurants just aren't worth the cost. Publix also has delicious desserts, beautiful fresh flowers, and a decent selection of prepared hot foods. While the hot bar isn't my favorite, it's convenient when you're in a hurry. Overall, you can find just about everything you're looking for here. The store is clean, well organized, and the staff keeps it looking great. It can be a little tricky locating certain products at times, but that's a minor inconvenience. For quality, freshness, and a pleasant shopping experience, Publix remains one of my favorite supermarkets. read more

Nancy and I have stopped into this Publix location several times over the years, usually to pickup a sub or some sushi for lunch/dinner. On our most recent visit we stopped in to order a sub to share for a late lunch. We ordered in-store and the associate was super friendly and made the sub to our liking. We chose the Ultimate Sub with Boars Head ingredients; everything was fresh and delicious. The store is in a very busy location so keep that in mind if you decide to place an order during a lunch or dinner rush. We lucked out and were served immediately since we arrived during their lull. Overall, the store is kept organized, and immaculately clean like most other Publix stores. Check out was a breeze and there were plenty of staff available to support peak shopping hours. I also noticed that one of the Publix employees was helping an older customer load his groceries in his car, which is a great way to be of-service, great job! All in all, I would recommend this store if you are shopping in the area. read more

Employees are very helpful. Their bakery is awesome. Love their chantilly cake. The only complaint I have is that, when I sent to redeem my lotto ticket, I was told it was a big amount and they won't be able to cash it. They have me the address which was about an hour seat from us. When we got there, the guy said, this is only coming up $5. We were perplexed and dumbfounded. Im sorry for what im about to say but my goodness, if you plan to get lunch on your break, go somewhere else! DONT go here, you wont have ANY time left to eat your food. We just waited thirty minutes to have a sub made for us. The deli moves with absolutely ZERO urgency. You want a pack of ketchup from the back? Five minute minimum. Everyone in line was upset. And this wasnt just one time, this has been every single time we come in, whether its during rush or not, it is always a 20 minute wait bare minimum. As some other man commented in line, you have to TRY to go this slow. They dont care about customer service at all. It almost seems they take joy out of making you wait longer. Once you experience a Publix supermarket yourself, I am confident that you will understand how Publix has become such an iconic supermarket brand and has developed such a loyal customer base down here in the southeast. Publix has created a solid reputation by offering incredible customer service, great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals, and we cannot forget their subs, which are affectionately known as "Pub Subs." Coming from New Jersey, a state known for their great subs, in a way, it hurts me to state that a supermarket has some of the best subs in the area. But it is also a 100% true statement. Publix subs are very good. My go-to sub is probably their Italian sub, which is truly a tasty offering. I also enjoy their roast beef and cheese sub. I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. It is great to see Publix expanding beyond the boundaries of their home state of Florida and spreading throughout the southeast. Not only am I happy about it, but I am confident that the communities where Publix opens a location are very grateful for a Publix opening by them. I come here often as it is my go-to spot for groceries and what-not. The service is great and never fails to disappoint here, I usually purchase a popcorn chicken, and they always come out hot and crispy! I 100% recommend shopping here as I have had nothing against this store for 3-4 years now. I don't usually leave reviews for supermarkets but I had to for this location. This Publix seems to be a tad older and smaller than other locations, but the staff are truly amazing. I am Always asked if I need help finding anything, and the cashiers are always friendly. What really made me want to review this location is because of the lady that is at the seafood department. I love rock shrimp - the Publix's located beachside (cocoa beach/satellite beach) always had rock shrimp ( which is my absolute favorite). Since I now visit a Publix that is not near the beach it seems it is impossible to find. I requested from the seafood department if they could put an order in for me, and this particular staff member went above and beyond to get for me. Today, I was surprised to find they had TONS of rock shrimp in stock. It truly made my day. I don't know the female employees' name but she went above and beyond for me. When I saw her today she told me she got the order in just for me. Thank you so much !!! I am thankful for employees like her! Also, all staff I have encountered at this location are always so nice. The young high school students working as cashiers in this Publix are rude! If you are having an issue they won't offer any help and they will just stare at you! (The high school student cashiers in Winn Dixie are much more polite) If you are shopping in Publix go to the mature women cashiers. Publix in St. Cloud was my go to store on a recent visit. The store has a huge parking lot and carries everything you might need to eat along with a lot of other items you might need if you are on vacation. The produce and meat departments stood out. Both were well stocked and prices were reasonable. Their wine selection was extensive which makes for a convenient on-stop shopping experience. I would not hesitate to return and hope to do so because I loved St. Cloud and plan to visit again in the near future. read more

We usually go to this Publix but this time we had a very bad experience at the Deli. We went to get a chicken tender sub from the deli it was about 8:30pm. We always come here and have a nice experience but that night we had Tracy and she was so rude. We order 2 subs and she wanted to make them both at the same time. I asked her to make one at a time, because my bf and I wanted different things on it. She game a dirty look like I was asking her for something so difficult. She was rushing us and forgot to put the cheese, so I told her that she had missed the cheese and made more rude gestures. We get to the veggies and she want to make it how she wants; this are our sandwiches and is her job to make it with our request. As far as I know the lettuce goes first, but no she proceeded to put all other veggies and the lettuce last. In the end the sandwich was a mess and she said "well I'm not going to be able to even close it". Right...because you decided to make a sloppy rushed sandwich. Then she tells us next time you should order online because at this time we are closing the line and we don't have chicken tenders either. I reply by saying that "you were still open and we had the right to order a sandwich". She continued to make unnecessary comments and rude gestures. If your slogan is "where shopping is a pleasure" then no matter what time it is my experience should be a pleasure in any department of the store. Between all this 1 online order came in and Nick came to do it, he was so upset about making it. He was slapping things around, taking under his breath and just creating an unpleasant environment. Additionally, you had plenty of people working at the deli, but only Tracy making sandwiches and like 6 people waiting in line for subs. At the time all your deli employees were just focusing on closing and not taking care of the customer. I will never shop at this Publix again. How many times are "you" asked to your show your receipt for your purchases at Publix? For some time, my experience at Publix has been bothering me. I wanted to wait until I wasn't angry any longer so I wouldn't rant and rave. I went into this store to purchase 16 cases of emergency water for a friend of mine who can't get out of the house due to physical ailments. At his request I went into Publix to get the water but they only had three cases on the Shelf. I put the three cases in my cart and went to the front to ask them if they had any more. To my surprise they said yes we have a pallet in the back how many do you need? I told him 16. I stood there for 10 minutes watching people get checked out. Wondering what was going on with the water I went back and asked about the water in the back? What happened to it ? I have been waiting here. A baggage handler said it's over there pointing to a checkout register. I walked over to the register saw one case of water and immediately turned to Publix Employee and said I wanted 16, I told you 16. I was waiting for so long I asked them can I pay for them now while I continue to wait. They said yes. I paid for the 16 cases as well as the items in my cart. I then loaded my car up with the stuff I had in my cart and headed back inside to wait by the service desk for my 16 cases of water. While waiting A lady behind the service desk lady asked me if I needed any help. I said yes I was waiting on 16 cases of water I already paid for they went to the back to go get it. She asked me if I paid for the water which surprised me but I said yes I paid that lady right there and pointed to the cashier. I wish I could have gotten that kind of help while I was waiting for the water. Finally a young kid comes out with the water on a big rolling rack The same lady that asked me 45 seconds ago if I paid for the water, then Turns to another lady the store manager and asks if I paid for the water. I said yes you just asked me that question you can ask the cashier if you don't believe me! I told them I'm tired of standing here let's go and the kid followed me to the car and help me load the water into the back of my Volkswagen. While loading my items back into the car with the help of this wonderful young kid who was actually out working me as we loaded the car. It's hot we are sweating and breathing heavy and I look up and to my surprise there is the lady manager again from Publix out in the parking lot asking me if I paid for the water. By this time I am embarrassed and she accuses me of stealing outside in the parking lot in front of other customers as people walk by and look at me. She doing this just to embarrass you don't get upset is what I said to myself on the inside. With the sweat dripping down my face from loading the water we stopped loading in the hot sun. I reached into my pocket search for the receipt and showed it to her. I thanked the young man who helped me load the water and I told the manager she could go to hell for the way she treated me a customer of Publix. They both walked away from me in the parking lot. I told myself as soon as I got home I would write a powerful letter to Publix about my experience. However I was so angry it would have sounded horribly angry so I waited. Wow, from the moment you walk in to the point you walk out, you're constantly greeted by one of their employees with amazing smiles as you walk down the each aisle. Checking was truly a pleasure because our cashier was OUTSTANDING! Huge smile and beautiful personality. My mom HAD to give compliments to the manager because her whole staff was absolutely amazing. Not sorry to say that I'm just not a big fan of Pubelix. They start at 3 stars and go up or down from there. This one went down, probably because of my own sour mood. Here are my complaints. Publix is expensive. Publix offers the same quality as everyone else. Puelix offers sterile white flourescent mood lighting. Publix touts excellent employee relations but a few Googlings seems to refute it. Publix occupies the habitat of places like Wegman's, Cardenas, and Trader Joe's, which are actually kind of nice to go to. I also don't like that they have obvious employees writing reviews. They both were welcoming to each person waiting for something from the deli section. I have lived in South Florida for over 30 years and I have never met such a wonderful team. In response to John Z: Dude, you need to go back and look at Publix again when you're in a better or at least neutral mood. Check out the deli, where they serve Boar's Head products. These by far are the highest quality products in any delis in the US much less Florida. Compare the cuts in Publix's meat department to any other grocery store to any other in Central Florida and you'll easily see that Publix has the best quality because they're cut and hand-trimmed fresh daily. For the last most obvious piece of information, the produce department has their products come in daily/seven days a week and their displays are unrivaled. If you're going to make such a biased and malicious review again, don't bother wasting your's or anyone else's time. read more

This Review is for the pharmacy department, even though all the other departments at this store are awesome. I visited Publix on Narcoossee & 192 in St Cloud, Fl. yesterday (09/14/2015) after a doctor visit for my 3 year old. Not uncommon as my kid had started daycare & picks up the good and lots of BAD things there. I picked up some antibiotic meds and another med for my child. When I got home I tried to give my kid the meds & it was so BAD that I mixed it in a shake to mask the flavor and that didn't work. The next day I went to Publix to complain about the meds and how would anyone take this, I actually tried it as my kid was making such a big deal about how bad it tasted. Mr. Kumar, the manager there was very patient and helpful and was able to help me get the medication flavored. My kid always liked the grape flavor but its not just a grape flavor they add to the meds. It's an actual mixtures of flavors to make it combine with the medication to make it taste like grape.
