I am extremely concerned about my safety at this Publix location: 1735 NE Pine Island Rd Cape Coral, FL 33909-1731. For over a month, I have been harassed and followed by an employee who typically works outside collecting carts, his name tag says "Javi" and goes by the name of Javiero Fernandez, unfortunately for me this is not his real identity. Due to not having his real name I am unable to place a restraining order and Publix denied help towards my concerns for my own safety. Store manager and Assitant manager were informed of my situation. I have been made aware that this is not his first incident, which makes it very concerning that management has allowed him to remain employed. Because of this, I no longer feel safe shopping here or anywhere. A grocery store should be a safe environment, and failing to address repeated behavior like this is unacceptable. Ignoring situations like this puts customers at risk and reflects very poorly on this location. I have informed all my family and friends not to shop at this Publix location due to this danger. This predator can be looking for his next victim anytime soon so please watch out for those who shop here. read more

Still solid two and a half years in. Consider trying the chicken tender sub with cheddar and gold sauce, it's amazing. I get my meds and other food related things here and everyone's nice. I even got free candy for Halloween despite being a grown adult, can't beat that. read more

Update, I was Talking to Jeremy the other day and I said to him Hey the seafood display looks fabulous, did you just finish this? He said Yes I did. He always has done this very well. It's always great to stop by and chat with Jeremy. He's such a great guy and knows his department. read more

There was a lot of negativity this week in the news, regarding Publix and politics in Florida. This review is NOT political, but is meant to show the goodness and decency of the people working there. We tried to get our vaccines from all over and I signed us up on the internet all over the state. This was our fourth time on the Publix Covid website, and I was lucky enough to get the little box that allowed me to sign up for the vaccine. You can enter up to four people, and you have to work really quickly. I was able to get appointments for myself, Dave and a very ill younger friend of my daughters. I know they are trying to improve the site every day. So we got to the store on Pine Island and Del Prado around 9:15 and I had a 9:36 appointment and Dave's was 16 minutes later. We were pleasantly surprised that there weren't crowds or long lines. We were greeted by a very pleasant and sweet young lady who checked us in and gave us some forms to fill out. There were seats for us while we waited to be called. I didn't realize how much planning goes into to each visit. The pharmacist had all our information and gave us a packet with information about the vaccine, and a vaccine card. We just had to show our driver's licenses to make sure we were Florida residents. Then we went to a little area at the end of the pharmacy that had a privacy screen in front of it. The pharmacist opened the door and told us about the vaccine and what to do if we had any kind of reaction. I got the vaccine and it was relatively painless as compared to the ones I received as a kid lol! We then sat in designated chairs for 15 minutes. We will return in exactly 28 days for the second dose. I haven't had a vaccine in many, many years. My daughter insisted that we get it, while my son doesn't believe in vaccinations. We just want to be able to hug our beautiful grandchildren. Thank you Publix and your kind staff and Pharmacist for taking care of us and our community! read more

Ok so full disclosure, this trip south was my first experience shopping at Publix and I absolutely loved it. Everything seemed so fresh and the stores are fun to shop. I picked up a 6lb prime rib roast for the holiday and it was absolutely incredible. The meat was so fresh and the final product was absolutely delicious. I can spend hours at a grocery store and well, I def spent farrrr toooo longggg walking the isles here. The bakery items were so fresh and absolutely delicious. Try the guava and cheese strudels - you won't be disappointed. Also, coming from RI, it is a REAL TREAT to shop at a grocery store that also sells beer and wine. Holy deals! I got this fancy ass bubbly in a beautiful bottle - buy one get one free, Kona island Beer - buy one six pack get one free and so many other fun finds. I def enjoyed shopping here and thanks for all the treats! read more

This Publix was as wonderful as any other Publix. The downfall of a Publix is its employees who don't buy in to the Publix mission and vision. All of the ones here, though, were wonderful. My girlfriend and I stopped in specifically for a PubSub lunch. The deli employees were wonderful. They asked what you wanted and suggested other things that you didn't say, which I am always appreciative of. I always forget the salt and pepper. They took their time making it, which is good. No uneven distribution of toppings, meat, or sauce here. All Publix's are pretty much like that, no matter how backed up the line gets. They go for quality not quantity every time, and I love it. The check out employee was nice, too, and on my way out I saw a lovely wine section in the corner of the store that you don't see in every Publix. I'm sure it's local demographic based. Either way, the way they display their wine is very nice. I like it. So yea, there's not a lot to write when it comes to a good Publix. Which this is. Come here. read more

Publix 130 Rochester Hwy., Seneca, SC is actually the best Publix I have EVER visited...except for a couple things I was extremely appalled by. 1. Tall, red haired guy, (Conner I think?), I think in some sort of management position, had an arrogance about him and annoyance when I asked him for help. I heard him talking negatively about what I think were other employees with a group of other employees and he just seemed bothered and irritated when I asked him where to find a specific brand of frozen meat. 2. I witnessed a customer service person, Amanda, yelling at a cashier as the cashier was approaching the Customer service desk. This is a perfectly nice grocery store. Why is it better than Sweetbay? Because sometimes they have free snacks (just like COSTCO) which I just love. Why is it worse than Sweetbay? Terrible customer service. Super short with me, not helpful whatsoever. I don't know who was working register, but they should be fired

We ordered our groceries island packed as we were headed to North Captiva Island with no grocery stores for the week. All of the fresh foods were crushed into the coolers. ruined! The first thing we did was bite into some watermelon and it was sour as was the pineapple. The strawberries were mush. While instant cart was wonderful and gave me an instant refund.....the Publix shopper was definitely inexperienced & just didn't care! While using the services that physically shop for your foods is expensive it's definitely worth it when they shop for the items rather than having inexperienced uncaring grocery clerk. Especially when head to an island with no stores for a week! read more

Publix customer service is pathetic at 1631 Del Prado. The extra large cashier kicked me out of the line because she thought I had too many groceries. She can't count. I had about forty dollars of products versed the two cans of vegetables for 2 dollars the lady behind me was in a hurry for. To have to wear a mask anywhere you go which is very breath restricting and then be abused by a cashier is cause for boycotting until better times when I don't have to wear a mask. The meat here can be pricy but it's so fresh even the seafood. Family and I don't like to shop at any other place for meat except for BJ whole sale food club. Publix is just on top of keeping it fresh excellent and perfect for the customers. If it goes bad and within the certain amount of days after you bought it you can get money back or another with no charge but you need to bring the receipt, the bad product and it has to be like I said with in a certain amount of days. Meat is great at BJ's and also Publix. Clean store and friendly smiley staff. Never have had a problem with Publix. I just wish they had cheaper prices. But it is what it is. And you get what you pay for. read more

The day before Thanksgiving and all through the land people were buying tons and tons of groceries but when you get to the local Publix store it was easy going there was tons of staff cashiers and bag boys it made shopping absolutely easy and you left with a good feeling that's a very hard thing to do at the start of this holiday season when it's nothing but madness read more

The online grocery delivery service is outsourced to a third party, Instacart. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!! We ordered $180 of groceries online last night to be delivered this evening. The delivery team showed up with one bag containing two items, and when I advised it was not correct, she argued with me and eventually admitted she delivered our groceries to someone else. The only solution offered was for them to go to this other persons house and ask for the groceries back and then deliver back to me. Publix can not assist, because this is all handled thru Instacart. I contacted instacart via phone and they agreed with the solution to Bring these groceries back to me. With the virus scare, no way was I going to accept groceries that had been in a strangers home. We requested a refund and were told it would take 5 - 7 business days. The whole idea was to avoid the grocery! So, now off to the supermarket tomorrow, $200 lost, 2 hours of frustration and happy vacation! read more
