I can't recall if Eight-Foot was around two years ago when I was last in the area, but they are a splendid and welcome addition to the local brewery scene in Cape Coral and Fort Myers. They tend to spend part of their production on yeast and mixed-fermentation beers, which is what intrigued me the most about wanting to pay a visit. Overall, I was pleased with what I ordered and discovered the taproom to be a very chill spot to hang out on a Saturday afternoon. Grabbing seats at the bar, I ordered a full pour of their Julian II mixed-fermentation beer and a taster of their Amber Rye brett beer. My favorite out of the two was the former. The Julian II had some nice fruitiness, while the Amber Rye had a distinct character with the cardamom and juniper. The beers I had were solid and enjoyed the atmosphere of the taproom that's down the street from the downtown Cape Coral area. Eight-Foot is worth a repeat visit, especially when you consider it's close vicinity to Big Blue and Big Storm.

Let me start by saying, DELICIOUS, food, beer, all of it! We had the Hefeweizen, Sultry and Smooth, and the refractions of time, which was the first sour beer I have enjoyed. We also got the pretzels and beer cheese, charcuterie board and the taco party platter(3 kinds of tacos surrounding nachos!) With my boys help, it was all devoured! We totally recommend the Korean BBQ taco! I mean all of this and beer, how can you go wrong?!?!?

This is a new brewery that opened up in Cape Coral. It's one of the few in the area. A little tricky to find, it's in this strip of what looks like little warehouses. Nice staff, good beer, and decent prices. I really liked almost all of the beers and they have something for everyone, even a few sours. I think I did 2 flights, totally about 9 small pours. They've got a cheese and meat plate as well as chocolate fondue. The cheese and meat plate was good but not enough cheese or meat, it was a lot of grapes and crackers. For the price, I'd want a little more of what made me want to order the item on it. The chocolate fondue sounded good in theory but the chocolate wasn't hot enough for the colder/frozen items. I think once they work that kink out, it will be awesome! When you check in on yelp, you get a coupon for a free full pour as well. They currently don't sell merch or pint glasses to take home which is a bummer but they want to do it once they get their name out their more. What I really loved was the atomosphere. They've got tables, the bar and some couches and comfy chairs. Games to borrow and play (I got my ass kicked in Scrabble) and really cute lighting. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area.

Still one of my favorite places in the Cape, & not because it's a 3 min walk from my house. The food is fresh & delicious, & the beers are always good. The honey fried chicken tacos are so good! I'm

Food better than the beer. Simple dishes very tasty. I had the Fancy Grilled Cheese and my husband the Buffalo chicken Flatbread. Both really yummy. The double Julian hazy IPA was ok. A bit disappointing that it came in the small glass. The alcohol content wasn't that high. Also my blueberry bear came on a small glass because they had a small batch. Why should I pay for them having it small? Enjoyable non the less. The set up was very nice. They had games cool music.

Game on!!! Scavenger hunt, here we come!

I live in north Naples and went to Eight-Foot for a scavenger hunt they hosted. My friends and I had a great time, except for the fact that we got to the end and 3 of the 4 winners weren't present... I thought that was pretty crappy, considering many of the the teams spent 4+ hours drinking at the participating bars and the winners dipped. Eight-Foot itself was okay. The food (pork tacos) were AWESOME! As was the Saison beer... service was very slow, and the decor was mediocre. It was a very "trendy"/"millennial" bar, which isn't my thing. I'd probably go back for another scavenger hunt if they made it a bit more fair for the people who hang around until the end.

This is a great little brewery with incredible beers! The owner and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about beer. The atmosphere is simple but gets the job done. Nothing fancy here but the beers take the cake. I had the Blueberry Kolsch, West Coast IPA, and the Raspberry Open Ferm. All exceeded expectations. Stop here if you are in the Cape

This place is what you are looking for in a brewery that covers more than the IPA craze. Don't get me wrong. They DO have two IPA's (West Coast & and NEIPA) but they have so much more variety too. Mexican lager - fantastic light beer, Hefewizen - great and unique for a Hefe, English Brown - amazingly tasty dark toasty beer. But then they have Alt / Bretts abd mixed fermentations. Can you say Sours!? ( I thought you could ). Now onto something off the charts and just cool. Kimbucha. Craft Kombucha!! Then they have homemade lemongrass soda!!! You wanna try a brewery that has a bit of it all this is your place!

One last thing that is not food/drink related is this, the bathrooms had signs that said "inclusive". I cannot stress how important and compassionate this is, especially during this time in our society. This shows that you as a company, value everyone who comes in to dine here regardless of who they are. The only negative for this place, and it really isn't a negative, is that you don't have another location in Winter Garden/Orlando Florida. If you did,we would be regulars.

Thankfully they have brought in many from other breweries which is the only be I find myself enjoying when I do go, along with having cocktails and seltzers, bc their beer, not so much and I love me some breweries!! I get reined in by the idea of fun events, but every event ends up being so underwhelming. They make events sound fun(decent posts/marketing), I'll give them that, but when you walk in, you are like ohhh, this is it? Very minimal decorating. TV's are not adjusted to the theme of the night, music still regular music. We stopped in last year and gave it one more shot this year for Mardi Gras, TV's are playing what looks like a highway and no NOLA jazz, blues music or anything to make you feel like it is carnival season. No live music! It was just another night and throw on some beads and they claim it's a party. They used to have the CBD section but now that is gone. Pool table and all big games around the brewery were gone. Just a huge black curtain running the back of the brewery now and hiding the brew tanks. Few small games way in the corner that you don't even realize are there.. that we found a walking out. Food trucks, they advertise what food there will be, but the food trucks are not selling half of what they say will be served. Every event is like that. They still have their main menu with like 1 item geared towards an event and sadly most of the time the taste is eh. If these trucks are going to serve something, they need to know what they are making. I Best thing about the place is the service! The girls behind the bar are awesome. They work hard.

She was amazing at helping us pick out the best things to drink. We tried one or two and landed on our favorites pretty quick. Shane was super knowledgeable about all of the beers when others would come in and ask questions about them as well. Then Shan arrived and it got real. She was also super knowledgeable about all of the beers on tap and the two got to tag teaming the bar like absolute pros! Conversations began and between the two of them we got a pretty amazing layout of the food scene in Ft. Myers and just like that, all of my carefully laid plans for meals for the next 3 days were turned on their head. In the end we all agreed that even though it was only 63 degrees in Ft. We finished our drinks and said farewell with sad faces but happy that we had gone off of our rails and tried this place on a whim. We sat on the patio, which is nicely shaded. The seats were plenty big for us, however the 'butt space' on each is somewhat limited. Chairs were very lightweight. There are long tables, smaller circular ones, and a Bar inside. We pulled up the online ordering platform from the QR code. My phone was being a bit slow, but I didn't know the restaurants Wi-Fi password to try that, so after a few tries we did get connected on cellular. Ordering is fairly easy and straightforward. Beer came out in a few minutes and food took about 10. When the server delivered the food I asked for a glass of water and after seeing her in and out a few times over 5 minutes, I just went into the bar and got it myself. Food was good. My wife got the Turkey BLTA and a side of coleslaw ($1.50 up charge). The sandwich was very good, with tender and tasty turkey and nicely smoked bacon. I got the Grouper PoBoy and the chips, which are the only side that doesn't require an up charge. The fish was very good and the sandwich sauce and pickled veggies were a great blend of flavors. The chips have a slightly sweet taste. They were ok, but I'd probably try a different side if I went back. The bathrooms are through the restaurant and shared with some other businesses. The men's seemed ok, but my wife said the women's was a bit beat up. The restaurant is addressing it-see picture of the sign. Tip on the app defaults to 20%, and while I'm generally a good tipper, I did not tip that much due to the lack of service.
