Eight-Foot is moving soon. I caught them at at 4417 SE 16th Place for a few late afternoon beers and some wifi before moving onwards. The place is cool with a friendly and welcoming vibe. It seemed to be mostly tourists coming and going, which I would expect in mid-February in Cape Coral. The bartender working today was happy to provide recommendations for places to eat and for some folks who were looking for another round of drinks. He also had takeout menus for nearby restaurants. I sat at the high top with my laptop and watched all of this while enjoying their Rice Lager and then the Florida Common. Delicious and tasty beers. fun night at the 8 foot! they really have good beer and the layout has a cool vibe. we were there for a trivia night the topic was "National Lampoons Christmas vacation " we had a lot of laughs... it's also great when you win, which we did. slaughtering our competition (wives at the next table) by one point. anyways... beer was good and we had fun. read more

Service was great but I was unimpressed with the selection of beers on tap. I get the impression that Cape Coral is more of a sleepy town. Only three participants were playing drag queen bingo. We love drag queen bingo, but this brewery definitely left something to be desired. read more

I can't recall if Eight-Foot was around two years ago when I was last in the area, but they are a splendid and welcome addition to the local brewery scene in Cape Coral and Fort Myers. They tend to spend part of their production on yeast and mixed-fermentation beers, which is what intrigued me the most about wanting to pay a visit. Overall, I was pleased with what I ordered and discovered the taproom to be a very chill spot to hang out on a Saturday afternoon. Grabbing seats at the bar, I ordered a full pour of their Julian II mixed-fermentation beer and a taster of their Amber Rye brett beer. My favorite out of the two was the former. The Julian II had some nice fruitiness, while the Amber Rye had a distinct character with the cardamom and juniper. The beers I had were solid and enjoyed the atmosphere of the taproom that's down the street from the downtown Cape Coral area. Eight-Foot is worth a repeat visit, especially when you consider it's close vicinity to Big Blue and Big Storm. read more

We visited on a Friday night to play some trivia. Since Eight Foot is located just outside of the "downtown" Cape walkable strip, it's been on my list to check out for ages. They don't have a kitchen of their own anymore (although from what the staff said, they used to!). Instead, they have rotating food trucks, which I'm into - variety and supporting local businesses! The bartenders were great - so knowledgeable about their beer. They are moving locations in the next week or two, so I'm glad I got to see the original spot, and am excited to visit their new building across Del Prado! read more

Let me start by saying, DELICIOUS, food, beer, all of it! We had the Hefeweizen, Sultry and Smooth, and the refractions of time, which was the first sour beer I have enjoyed. We also got the pretzels and beer cheese, charcuterie board and the taco party platter(3 kinds of tacos surrounding nachos!) With my boys help, it was all devoured! This is a new brewery that opened up in Cape Coral. It's one of the few in the area. A little tricky to find, it's in this strip of what looks like little warehouses. Nice staff, good beer, and decent prices. I really liked almost all of the beers and they have something for everyone, even a few sours. I think I did 2 flights, totally about 9 small pours. They've got a cheese and meat plate as well as chocolate fondue. The cheese and meat plate was good but not enough cheese or meat, it was a lot of grapes and crackers. For the price, I'd want a little more of what made me want to order the item on it. The chocolate fondue sounded good in theory but the chocolate wasn't hot enough for the colder/frozen items. I think once they work that kink out, it will be awesome! When you check in on yelp, you get a coupon for a free full pour as well. They currently don't sell merch or pint glasses to take home which is a bummer but they want to do it once they get their name out their more. What I really loved was the atomosphere. They've got tables, the bar and some couches and comfy chairs. Games to borrow and play (I got my ass kicked in Scrabble) and really cute lighting. Food better than the beer. Simple dishes very tasty. I had the Fancy Grilled Cheese and my husband the Buffalo chicken Flatbread. Both really yummy. The double Julian hazy IPA was ok. A bit disappointing that it came in the small glass. The alcohol content wasn't that high. Also my blueberry bear came on a small glass because they had a small batch. Why should I pay for them having it small? Enjoyable non the less. The set up was very nice. They had games cool music. read more

It's been a slow journey for me with Eight Foot. When they first started, I wasn't much of a fan. Years later, they moved to a much more accessible location. The bar maid was very nice, but didn't seem to be "beer knowledgeable". They don't brew very many styles to choose from, but the West Coast IPA is hands down their best. The light bodied beers are a hard sell because people that drink them compare them to mass produced brews. It looks like they have a nice place to expand in. Just need some acoustic guitarists and more parking lots! I've always wished these guys the best- the Cape needs more micro breweries (real ones not the pretend kind). read more

My favorite brewery in SWFL. A very relaxed and chill atmosphere with a rotating taplist of unique beers. They brew lots of interesting styles of beers that you can't find anywhere else. No exaggeration. I'm a big beer nerd and I've had styles of beer here that I've never seen at any other brewery. Definitely worth a stop in if you enjoy old school styles of beer and unique takes on classics. read more

I live in north Naples and went to Eight-Foot for a scavenger hunt they hosted. My friends and I had a great time, except for the fact that we got to the end and 3 of the 4 winners weren't present... I thought that was pretty crappy, considering many of the the teams spent 4+ hours drinking at the participating bars and the winners dipped. Eight-Foot itself was okay. The food (pork tacos) were AWESOME! As was the Saison beer... service was very slow, and the decor was mediocre. It was a very "trendy"/"millennial" bar, which isn't my thing. I'd probably go back for another scavenger hunt if they made it a bit more fair for the people who hang around until the end. read more

The beer itself was solid here. My Tripel was probably the best beer I've had in the Cape Coral area. The outdoor patio in the front of the building was a fun spot to hang out too. As people who travelled from outside of the state, we got many stares when we wore masks inside the building. This place is what you are looking for in a brewery that covers more than the IPA craze. Don't get me wrong. They DO have two IPA's (West Coast & and NEIPA) but they have so much more variety too. Mexican lager - fantastic light beer, Hefewizen - great and unique for a Hefe, English Brown - amazingly tasty dark toasty beer. But then they have Alt / Bretts abd mixed fermentations. Can you say Sours!? ( I thought you could ). Now onto something off the charts and just cool. Kimbucha. Craft Kombucha!! Then they have homemade lemongrass soda!!! Small nano brewery. Nice outdoor patio. Unique styles of beer, not just an IPA joint. The 2 of the 3 beers I had were average. Seemed a little thin or light on ingredients. Just not the best they could be. The barrel aged sours are definitely the stronger players. The food was unique. Salad was good, tacos were decent. They don't have a fryer so everything was baked...I think. Poutine was edible but again, baked fries and not cheese curd. The one thing that tipped it to not returning for a while was a corn hole / beanbag weekly tournament. All locals, no masks inside or out. That scene helped us to move along. read more

We enjoyed our time here outside on the patio, we came back for seconds. The bartender during our first visit was the nicest person every. We have to little kids and being safe, we sat outdoors on their patio. It is shaded and very nice. There are lounger chairs, a few high tops and two low four tops. The menu is more adult and up scale. You cannot go wrong with any of the food options. A few of our favorites were the garlic bread, Fancy Grilled Cheese, Caesar Salad and Margarita Flat Bread. You also cannot go wrong with any of their on tap options. I personally like my hazy IPAs while my husbands loves a sour. They had something for each of us. The pulled pork nachos were delicious according to my meat loving husband, I had the veggie tacos, which were also delicious, although very small, and there were only two for a meal. They would be awesome as an appetizer. My husband also had the Brat flatbread, A combination of the spicy sausage and the sweet pear jam along with the cheese and caramelized onions was awesome. Hells Lager was Super. The Hefeweizen was OK. I really enjoyed the atmosphere; for Saturday night it wasn't too crowded, and we didn't worry about social distancing because the tables were spread pretty far apart outside and in. all in all I'm sure will be back for a nice quiet evening and a couple of really good beers. read more

Most enjoyable trip to this brewery tap. A very good selection of beers, encompassing a great range of styles (IPA, lager, stout, sour, table beer, amber rye, Belgian, German), including a couple of collaborations and some which have been barrel-aged. Prices extremely reasonable. Owners a really nice couple who were a pleasure to chat with and really know their beer. Bar food looked and smelled superb (bratwurst, mac n' cheese). Very good community feel to it, with many locals as regulars. Well worth a visit. read more
