I honestly don't know why they have such a low score. Parking Lot is always Full ! It's a good size store , they have a good bakery , even though I don't get much there due to all the carbs. Both the deli and produce are well stocked, Deli is well stocked . Deli employees are friendly and they always have my favorite BoarsHead , pre sliced meats and cheese I always get. The Hot food is well stocked so is the rotisserie chickens. Produce looks good only thing is bananas are pretty much low or out . Grocery end caps are well stocked, and I do noticed they all ready have next Days Add ready on Wednesday. Meats are in good shape I know they have the best quality but ,they do need to work on lower prices on meats , I know they have BOGOS : but still they can do better . With Meats And assistant manager and Store Manager are pretty much on sales floor most of the time . Love the pharmacy staff here , compared to Flager beach staff though.. They have good friendly cashiers, and for the main part friendly front service clerks , I Do recommend shopping here . No pictures next time around . read more

As a lifelong Florida resident, I've been to many Publix Pharmacies. My experiences at this Palm Coast location have been like nothing I've experienced before. The group of pharmacists and technicians must have all attended the most liberal colleges imaginable. The multicolored hair, continual scowls on their faces, and overall rudeness and unfriendliness towards my demographic is amazing. When a person who looked more like them (young white female with nose ring, pink hair, etc) showed up, it was like the staff were thrilled to see one of their own. Smiling, friendly, overly helpful, etc. Felt like I was in NYC. Could Publix stop hiring left wing lunatics from up north and get back to basic friendly customer service at this location please? read more

Any Publix Super Market I have visited has always been a great experience. The prices are reasonable. The food is good whether I get fresh fruit, sushi, a deli sub or a cake from the bakery. I am never disappointed. I do miss the free fresh coffee they used to have at the entrance where the shopping carts are stored. I used to love this store. No more! Fruits and vegetables are not fresh and don't last even a week. Deli folks don't understand the words "sliced thin" and expired dairy products (yogurt this week). Publix is, at least in my opinion, the standard for what a supermarket should and could be here in the southeastern United States. This particular location is the anchor store of the Island Walk Shopping Plaza, located not far off of Interstate 95. If you are unfamiliar with Publix, they have built their brand by offering incredible customer service, great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals, and we cannot forget the subs that are available in their deli, affectionately known as Pub Subs. For the record, I'm a big fan of their Italian sub and their Boar's Head roast beef sub. My daughter, on the other hand, loves their chicken tender subs. This location follows in that trend of great customer service and a clean, inviting atmosphere. All in all, I give this place a great recommendation. If you're unfamiliar with Publix, and I would assume only that if you are a new residence of Florida or anywhere in the Southeast, check them out and you will love them. read more

I often place orders in advance for deli items. During that process, you are only able to select their first available time for pick up, which is fine. However, with the past 5 orders I've placed, only one was ready at that time. The other 4 consecutive visits I found that my order wasn't ready nor even started. And in each of those visits, deli customers were being served at the counter while I waited to inquire about my now overdue order and was, on each inquiry, told that they got busy. Only once was there an apology. I've spoken to management 3 times about this. If they can't manage online orders, just don't offer it. Simple. read more

Integrity. I've seen so many examples of integrity at this particular Publix. The store is always clean which is extra important during a pandemic. But today I saw one of the managers, Jeremy, outside in this ridiculous heat gathering up carts. Everybody was busy and he was just getting the job done well all of his baggers we're helping customers etc. I like the fact that the people at the store seem to work together as a team. It seems to be a cohesive unit. That's kind of rare nowadays, maybe it isn't, but it sure nice to see team work. I also noticed that ever since this Covid stuff started they seem to be more managers on duty. They're always available to help customers and everybody is always hustling to make sure the store is in great shape. Kudos to Publix! Especially this one! read more

The service desk has mostly young people that don't know what they are doing. Every time I have gone to service desk at this location they get my rain checks wrong or ignore you while you are waiting in line. I realize that most young people don't have good work ethics so they need to hire more people than pay attention to details. read more

Publix is a great store for many reasons. First on my list ..... the produce is fresh and there's an adequate supply of various kinds. I notice a fresh supply of cut up vegetables and fruit, great for making dinner a little easier to prepare. There's always a well packed deli dept. The same for the bakery and the seafood dept. I agree with another's comments about the prices at Publix, the prices are higher than other grocery stores. But what makes the Publix experience a nightmare is the parking lot at Island Walk. Who in the world designed the lot had a wicked sense of humor. Everything feels so jammed up, driving lanes start and end without rhyme or reason., twisting throughout the parking lot. Do I shop at Publix. You betcha. But Island Walk is a dangerous place in which to be driving. read more

This store has become incredibly lenient about allowing non-service animals in the store. Store managers need to address the situation. Animals should not be allowed to be near food. There are federal guidelines in place concerning pets and food for a reason. This is not my personal opinion. And for those of you who are bringing your pets to the store, contributing to ruination of a service for people who are in true medical need - I hope you need a service animal one day and aren't allowed to go anywhere with it because you so casually and ignorantly abused the privilege when you were fully capable. read more

The parking lot is a complete mess after they have re-designed the shopping plaza. I don't know who came up with the layout, but they should put a police station in the plaza to handle all the accidents they will have. I never had a problem at the deli dept in the old Publix. This one has long lines and is always backed up. It is so bad that I ordered online so I would not have to wait and get bumped j to constantly with customers trying to get by. The problem was they even missed that and I had to go to the counter and wait for them to get my order ready. Also, there was never a issue with them running out of sale items at the old Publix. There have been several times at the new one that I have gone on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon and sales items have been out of stock. read more

Been coming here for a few years, as well as the one in "the Hammock." Publix is a great alternative to the always crowded walmart. Love the "buy 1 get 1 offers." They have a good selection of organic produce. My friends who come in from Los Angeles love to shop at Publix for their selection of "Greenwise" items and tell me that they carry some brands found at Trader Joe's. The workers are always chatty with each other but always offer to help me when I'm leaving for the parking lot, (even though I'm younger and not a senior citizen. Lol ) All in all, I'll keep coming back to Publix. Definitely less crowded than Walmart and has a better selection of Fresh Meat and fish! Great neighborhood store. read more

This Publix is the best. It seems spacious and organized. The meat department always has a wide variety of quality meats. The employees are very nice and I'm spoken to more often than not. I believe the store managers name is Steve and he seems great. He helped me find what I was looking for and went above and beyond. I noticed he was greeting every customer that crossed his path. There is a different Publix closer to my house but this one is my favorite. read more

Call ahead if you want a sub. The lines are usually three or more people deep. That may sound fine, but consider is takes them five or more minutes to make each sub. So being third in line is a fifteen minute wait minimum. I have been in the line for subs with six other people, while one employee is making subs. Meanwhile the Deli has two customers and four employees, and the hot food area has two employees and no customers. You would think someone could help make subs. I feel bad for the poor sub making person, it has to be the worst job in the store. Luckily there is a Firehouse subs next door, which is where I end up after getting frustrated in the Publix sub line after twenty minutes. I get my Firehouse sub in a few minutes, even if there is a line. Firehouse should thank Publix for all the business. read more

I typically don't give bad reviews but feel one is needed for my experience with this particular Publix. The fish we purchased had a strong odor of ammonia after being cooked and after one bite we quickly realized it was foul. They accepted the fish and issued us a refund very easily and the staff was very polite. The issue I had is we did not want a refund we wanted to warn that the fish they were selling was bad and they seemed to be more concerned about giving us a refund than checking the fish type and relaying the information to the seafood department. We will continue to shop at publix for boxed goods and other items but no longer have faith in their seafood department after this incident, it's just not worth the risk of getting sick. read more

I must admit , I don't like food shopping, but since it's a must - I go over to publix on old kings. The service, friendliness and cleanliness of the store must be noted! I love going there and being treated with such respect. It's a refreshing change from all other places I have shopped. It's makes a grueling chore much more pleasurable . We've had so many bad experiences at this new Publix. Before I get to that, the basics: It's ugly on the outside; the ugliest new Publix I've ever seen. The doors were also intentionally pushed in far away from most of the parking, and they're tiny, making it a traffic jam most days to get in and out. The parking lot is badly designed; it's probably intentionally designed to inhibit traffic flow. And getting in and out on surrounding roads is a nightmare because of a random one-way road diverting half of us to a u-turn down the road. Seriously? Who plans this garbage!? But that's just the beginning here. The biggest problems are product availability and product quality. First, lots of products available at the old location this store replaced just weren't continued here, even though this store is much larger. I had to fight with the manager to try to get some of them back, and this was only partially successful. The most annoying of these is that the seafood counter doesn't carry shrimp that's been shelled and had its tail removed, so now if you want thawed shrimp, you've got to do that mess yourself. They also don't carry as many pre-prepared items, like the shish kebab we used to get or the perfectly seasoned 90-calorie seasoned chicken burger patties ready for grilling (to be fair, the old Publix stopped carrying those before this one opened, but we're mad, so I'm mentioning it). And as for the produce department...they carry three kinds of mushrooms. That's all. Second, even when they carry something, don't expect it to always be there. This is especially true in the produce department. Every other time we go, it's like they've been completely picked over! Who's in charge of making sure they don't run out of basic things like mushrooms, yellow squash, or zucchini? Third, we bought our tenth or eleventh bad thing there yesterday (and it's only been open about 2 months!). We've bought cheese that we discovered was moldy when we got home, produce that's so bad so frequently it's not a coincidence, chips that had been pulverized, sliced bread that went bad in just a few days (how does that even happen with all of those preservatives?), and the scariest...a 2-liter bottle of soda THAT HAD BEEN OPENED. We actually drank some of it before realizing it, too. Someone could've poisoned us! Any one of these on their own would be a fluke, but at this point, it's most definitely something the store is doing...or not doing...to ensure quality or safety of its products. And then there's the intentionally congested store layout. There's nothing we like about going there. In short, if you have another grocery store you can shop at conveniently, go there. This place is awful and completely unreliable. And I'm still worrying we drank something terrible in that 2-liter. read more

My mother in law was in the store on Sunday September 30, 2018. The lines were very long so she went to the 10 items below line (with more than 10 items but not much) and politely asked if she could get scanned out. Instead of saying no to her the lady at the register gave her a rude look and scanned my mother in law out. She was aggressive with the groceries and when we got home 4 of our eggs were broken and leaked through other food boxes. I moved to Florida a year ago and every time I go to this publix I never have a positive experience. It's sad to know my family members have also had bad experiences there. There was even a time when I pulled into this publix parking lot and have reversed out to drive to the Flagler beach publix instead. That's how much this one publix makes me cringe. All in all, I'm personally not impressed by any of the Publix grocery stores. Meat selection sucks for being on the coast and the interior looks dated. Everyone is so friendly and smiling. Stores are impeccably clean and the deli cafe eats have wonderful smells wafting thru the store. Selections are good, but not like HEB. Have to go to a real butcher shop to find different cuts of meat. Wish they would enforce the number of items at the express checkout lanes. Folks are allowed to use them with 30+ items in their cart while folks with just a few items have to wait longer. read more

I have observed several dogs in this store riding in grocery carts. Even service and emotional support dogs must be on a leash not in the cart where customers put their food purchases. I shop at this Publix because it is closest to my home. There will be no love lost when I move next month and will be closer to a different grocery store. In fact, I'm looking forward to that almost as much as getting a full-sized washer/dryer. That being said, let me explain my dissatisfaction. I commonly see many employees standing around chatting, you ask for help and they either scatter or give an excuse why they can't help you. Few are cautious when bagging and I end up with horribly bruised fruit, bags that are so heavy I can't carry them or dangerously cross-contaminated meats. I had one cashier tell me she doesn't bag meats separately, that's my job while in the meat department, ok sorry didn't see the sign, oh wait there wasn't one... Their shelves are ridiculously out of items - now this may be because I can only shop on weekends which I know are busier times. The ONLY reason I go back and not travel farther to another store is the deli & meat departments - for some reason those employees know their product, take pride in their work and are nice & helpful to the customers, but then you get to check out and so many items ring up wrong and it's takes 4 people to fix it and everyone behind you is pissed and your pissed because you didn't screw this up PUBLIX did - and then you get some smart-mouthed cashier walk by giving her two cents... And this happened to me nearly every week - and when you email corporate your email is forwarded to the store direct and you get a response to one of only your 5 concerns that basically blames the customer...yeah never a good shopping experience. read more
