Publix are everywhere. Their service is the best among grocery stores in the area. Still limited with deli items and take home meals but they'll do for Florida. read more

This is the happiest place on earth well, as far as supermarkets go. Everyone is always happy and helpful or at least ,appears to be. All departments provide excellent service and always clean and organized. I also have to point out , Publix store brand products are very good quality and I sometimes choose them over the brand name equals even if they priced the same.This review pertains to every Publix I have been in, I give them props for being consistent. read more

For a grocery store, this is easily my favorite. It has everything I need, it is clean, laid out well and the staff will walk you to any item you are looking for. They do not just tell you it is in aisle 6 and let you get lost finding it. Starting with the produce section, it is fresh and reliable, they only serve the best when it comes to produce that is in season and available. The bakery department is better than most stand alone bakeries in my experience. They offer a great deli where you can grab a sandwich, and they also offer organic items, both in the deli and throughout the store. Overall, a great shopping experience and I would recommend this Publix to anyone who lives in Riverview. read more

The thing my wife and I mist most while I was working in Chicago was Publix. I worked for Winn Dixie for 19 years closed two warehouses for them and shopped at Publix the whole time. Love Publix. Over the years I feel they have cut back on some service related items but by far are still number one. read more

I go to this publix a lot and always seems to be fine. For the first time I ordered a small cake for my sons first birthday. I have never ordered a cake from them so I wasn't sure how they did it. Well the guy who took my order didn't really ask any questions besides chocolate or vanilla and what to write. He didn't ask colors or anything so I was thinking ok maybe they do a standard small bday cake. I was really disappointed with my cake but running late I didn't speak up which honestly what could they have done at this point. I didn't know they offered fillings and such and really wish the person who took my order would have let me just see the paper to order. This cake cost seven dollars less then my daughters awesome huge cake from sams that I picked up after, I will most definitely not be getting cakes from publix anymore. read more

Enjoyed the Publix markets when we were in Florida a couple weeks ago. The stores are well designed and laid out. Lots of fresh selections, which we always appreciate. And, if you show up at the right times of day you can get a sample of a mini-meal as well as the recipe card to make it yourself (with all the ingredients you need conveniently placed right there to grab). Prices are a little higher than what I am used to back in WI, though, so I'm glad it's not my go to store. read more

I've never had any issues. Although, I usually come in and leave pretty quickly everything has been clean and all of the produce fresh. I tend to shop at the Deli most often so I'll focus on that in this review and say that my only request for improvement is that they increase the options they offer. The food itself is healthier than any fast food around and the taste is quite decent. Best of all, the price is fair. I also approve of the various options for healthy salads and vegan options. Perhaps they could expand the Deli so as to offer more options for breakfast and dinner. Even expanding just the bakery would be great. Aside from the Deli, the rest of the grocery store has always been clean with plenty of sales on a great variety of products. Always easy and pleasant. No matter the needs, this location serves their customers well. read more

I love this supermarket. Staff is super friendly and helpful. I find prices are lower than Sweetbay and Winn Dixie......especially when they have buy one get one free on items. My favorite spot for when I get the urge for a good sub. Oh and the fried chicken and chicken tenders are great too. Much better than KFC. read more

This in particular goes with the Deli section of Publix. I arrived around 7-ish so it was pretty much slow until I started to order my sub. Everything was going on but two employees from the deli section in particular held a conversation between one another which was highly inappropriate. Rose and Love held a conversation talking about customers which I'm sure they didn't think I was merely paying attention to what they were attempting to mumble after I listened to them having their conversation about a woman asking where her bad bleep kids were. Like wow this is acceptable ? There's no telling what they said about me as I walked up. Next, there was a young man who seems to be struggling to clean out one of the stoves or heaters which was in plain sight DISGUSTING. Instead of properly showing him the correct way to clean, one of the same women shouted to him how to do it rather than walking over and working as a team. There was food all on the floor from it running down the heater which was worse since there was an entire line waiting to be served. Now to my sub, I got a whole wheat sub which clearly after biting was stale bread. Seriously, Publix deli? Someone needs to be constantly monitoring this area because it definitely lacks in way too many areas. read more

This Publix is big, clean, and has plenty of parking. They have just about anything you would need at a grocery store. Their Buy One Get one deals are great! I usually shop here for those specific deals since many items here are more pricey compared to other grocery stores nearby. Staff is always very friendly and there are many associates around to greet you and offer assistance if needed. The meats are fresh, bakery makes great cakes and other baked goods, and they also have a pharmacy in the store which is very convenient. They also offer some antibiotics for free with prescription. This store is usually busy and they could use a few more cashiers to keep the lines shorter. The baggers are usually a nice touch although sometimes they do not do the best job at bagging. They do offer to assist you to your car which is wonderful especially for the elderly. I live nearby so i will be back here often. read more

I have quit shopping here altogether. 3 strikes you're out. I have 3 different incidences of being seriously overcharged and way expired food along with their indifferent attitude has turned me off for good. Several times I was overcharged for things and / or didn't receive the discount advertised. Of COURSE when I mention it, they make it right, however I wonder how many people blindly shop there and never check their receipt. I would ALWAYS check my receipt at this Publix. Then...I have had several instances of items being WAY past the expiration date. One evening, after working a 10 hour day, I swung by on my way home to pick up frozen microwavable chicken. That is all I bought. i get home, exhausted, go to make it, only to find the expiration date was TWO WEEKS PRIOR!! I called, talked to the idiot manager who said he knows all about working 10 hour days, as he works them regularly, like I care. He said if I want to bring it back in, he will replace it with a bag that is not expired. WOW..how decent of him..not! Soo..after no dinner, next day I go to take it back, as he said he will leave a msg for the day manager about it. I thought I better check expiration dates of things I bought a couple days prior...and voila....a bag of hardboiled eggs, cooked and peeled, had NO expiration date...it was blank where it said best if used by this date..I go in next day..ask for manager, he says he has no idea what I am talking about, there is no message for him, and the person I would need to talk to just left, will be back in a half hour, could I come back in a half hour? NO....I told him I have wasted ENOUGH of my time, due to their incompetence...He said well sometimes..expiration dates get overlooked..(ya think??) I told him that is bs...it wasn't a day past expiration date, it was a full 2 weeks past the date. I don't believe it was a mistake, more like trying to move expired product with no regard to health repercussions. What about the EGGS with no expiration date? He said he would get me a fresh bag with an expiration date...wow really, what a concept?? I told him I am not returning, he can call the person I need to speak to, which he did and they said to go ahead and replace the bag of chicken with a bag thats not expired (by 2 WEEKS)..wow, what great customer service, (NOT). Bottom line, check your receipts, more times than not, it will be wrong and miraculously in THEIR favor! Also..check your expiration dates..if you shop there. Publix is very expensive and I didn't mind paying the extra money. I didn't expect this from Publix, maybe Walmart, but not Publix. PS?...its only this Publix I have continual issues with, either overcharging me or selling way expired food. Stay away at all costs if you value your health and wallet. read more
