So, I was going to pickup my wife from the WPB airport and stopped here to buy a sandwich and drink, to bring her after the flight. I see they had some turkey and cheese "Sliders" on what looked like mini hawaiian rolls. I thought perfect and purchased them with a drink. After picking her up I give her the bag when we are back on 95. She bites into one, then opens it and tells me to look. Says it only tastes like bread. I look and There is essentially 1/4 of a piece of turkey and 1/4 of a piece of cheese. That was the same in all of them. She had to basically take the one piece of cheese and turkey out of each and move them to one tiny roll so that she could actually taste the contents. Very embarrassing and disappointing for her, given she was hungry. I know supermarkets try to maximize profits, but this was a bit over the top. Maybe the person at this deli isn't following a plan. I find it hard to believe you would only give a piece of meat and think it was A. Tasty and B. worth the price. read more

We had an excellent experience celebrating Saint Patrick's Day 2021. A pick up for a delicious Corn Beef and Cabbage. Also, accompanied by Seasoned Potato Wedges. Since, I am not able to consume Gluten I gladly passed these to my hub. No tasty food is wasted by him:-) He was born a Super Foodie. When it comes to Holiday food if unable to cook it or visit a restaurant. We call the Publix Deli and make arrangements from an array of platters for parties. I have been ordering a birthday cake from This publix for years. We picked it up yesterday and they didn't even bother writing happy birthday like we asked. It had no color like we asked for and four tiny flowers that she said was a 6 dollar up charge. The cake itself was tasteless and dry. We always ask for custard and pineapple to be added in each layer and it wasn't. It was all buttercream. It tasted like it was made the week before when it was ordered. I was at the Publix last night on 43rd and Oslo Rd, and two customers had no masks on and their were no managers enforcing any rules. I asked to speak to the female evening manager and wanted the CEO (Todd's) email to write about this . She said she'd get it but never did. When I pointed out one of the customers who was not wearing a mask, the female manager, took no action and did nothing about it. I have a "suppressed immune" system and if people have COVID and are not wearing masks---I CAN DIE. This is unacceptable behavior from PUBLIX and THEIR MANAGERS. read more

Not quite my "hometown grocery store," but one Publix over from my regular store in Vero Beach, I've always found this location to be clean, well stocked, and the staff friendly. On the few occasions that I've had to use the restroom, they've been clean, tidy and well stocked. Walking in the store, the bakery and pharmacy are to your left and everything else is straight ahead. When I have inquired about the location of a particular item, the staff have been prompt and helpful in providing assistance. This Publix is located on the northeast corner of 58th Avenue and State Road 60 (20th Street) in Vero Beach. It has plenty of parking and all of the signature services such as bagging and carry out. I've tried to take my groceries out on several locations only to be told it would be done for me. I'm not sure if its a service that this Publix pushes hard, or whether the staff are seeking to escape the store for a few minutes. (Smile.) Deli counter is great. When ordering meat or cheese, you are still offered that signature free sample. Although I'm not into organic type food or groceries, this location seems to have improved on their selection of organic products. Bakery is great. Not only do my 3 kids still get their "free cookie" but I've ordered birthday cakes here for my twins. Made right and according to order. No screw-ups or long wait to finish the cakes. They've always been ready and on time. Overall, a consistent 4-star experience in the times I've had an opportunity to shop at this particular Publix. William E. I was in search of a bakery in town that could make a beautiful, elegant baby shower cake without breaking the bank. Someone mentioned to me that Publix did custom cakes. I was a little apprehensive at first. Not because I doubted they could, but I had no idea what they were capable of. Thank goodness I went in and spoke to a decorator, her name was Sibel. I consulted with her, who was very friendly and helpful. I showed her a picture of what I had in mind and she created exactly what I envisioned. $32 for a beautiful 8" round with a small 4" centerpiece cake to go on top. There is a $30 stacking fee for a two or more tired cake but I just paid separately for them and stacked it myself. Would definitely recommend this bakery if you're looking for a good, talented bakery with great tasting cake and are on a budget. read more

Oh Publix, how I love thee, let me count thy ways! This is the Publix I've gone to for years and years. I lived in Vero Beach for 30 years and this is our Publix for at least 20 of them. Always laid out nicely, clean and well lighted. The associates are friendly and help you find anything you need, even walking you straight to the item. It's not hard to find something because their items are where you would think they would be. They have labels on items according to organic or non-organic too which makes it very easy to find the organic food you are looking for without searching and searching. This store is almost always very busy and I don't mind that too much. Their selection of food is pretty substantial, if they don't have what you want, I would be very surprised. Their deli and bakery is amazing. Their Tiramisu is my favorite dessert and their Raspberry Elegance cake is to die for. I even had a Publix make it for my wedding cake. Their Publix Premium Mint Chip ice cream is my favorite mint chip ice cream anywhere. Want a good, fresh sub sandwich? Publix all the way. It's a thing of miracles. I told my Mom recently how much I miss Publix after moving to Wisconsin. She got me a "I love Publix" pin! lol I don't think you would be disappointed shopping here. read more

I recently visited the Publix Pharmacy on Oslo Road. At this location, I met "Publix Pharmacy Guru", Melinda. I frequent ALL the Publix Stores in Southwest Vero. For the record, Melinda works at the Publix Pharmacy on 58th. She informed me she was just "filling in at that location" for the day. I brought all of my prescriptions with me in hopes of getting prices to compare with other pharmacies in the area. Melinda was very polite, patient, and attentive to my needs. She assured me her finding the prices, and even printing a copy of the aforementioned would be no problem. I let her know I was going to go do a little shopping. One bag of cheese puffs and a Dutch Apple Pie later, (Was not my Dinner), I approached the pharmacy where I saw a quiet, yet confident, Melinda beaming ear to ear. She had discovered that one of medications was "FREE!" I was truly amazed! Needless to say, Melinda went way beyond the call of duty in her efforts. By the way, I will officially be naming my first daughter, "Melinda." Additionally, I will likely be buying, some or all, of my prescriptions at Publix, namely the 58th Avenue location. I called this Publix today to inquire about some of the "$7.50 Medications." Although I was crushed to find out Melinda was off, a guy by the name of Alex was happy to help answer all of my questions. I can't express how refreshing it is to encounter someone who takes so much pride in their work. God Bless Melinda and rest of the crew! read more

One of two Publix locations I frequent when I'm in Vero. This one is on the West side of Vero, the other is on the South side of Vero. Both are clean and well stocked. The staff are friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking too. read more

Very disappointed with my visit this evening to the deli at Publix. Several employees working behind the counter but the one that waited on me obviously didn't know how to make a sandwich. I came in at 9:00 at ordered a hot sandwich (they are opened till 10:00). The sandwich was cold on the inside with overcooked bread on the outside. I brought sandwich back to the store and told manger what happened Jeff was the manager who really didn't seem to care much about my problem. He told me to go back to the deli and have them make me a new sandwich. A good manager would have walked me back himself to find out what went wrong but not Jeff. The deli told me it would take 20 minutes to make me a sandwich because they turned off the grill//oven? I went back to the customer service counter for a refund and was told that I would have to take my refund on a gift card. I told the counter clerk that I wanted a refund to my credit/card or cash. She got the manager who didn't seemed to concerned that it was going to take 20 minutes to make me a hot sandwich. He said they must have turned the grill off and went back to his office. If grill is going to be turned off before deli is closed they should have a sign up saying hot sandwiches are not served after 8:00 pm. Very disappointed in the whole visit and how it was handled. read more

I've lived and visited in FL in the past and now I am a glee-filled retiree in Vero Beach! This particular Publix, "My Publix" is a gem. Any of you from the Midwest and familiar with Jewel-Osco, Sentry, or Metcalfe's understands when I say this location is comparable, reminiscent, and has a little of the old-timey 50s-60s feel to it. This is, I believe, the very first Publix to have been built in Vero. I love the layout, employees, departments, ease of shopping. There is a recurring theme here, and I am glad someone else picked up on it. EVERY time I go to this Publix the employees are standing around in the entrance chatting, as are the cashiers. Every single time I go here my cashier is having a conversation with the cashier in the line behind me. Makes me feel like I should duck down or something to make it easier for them. Their new trick of blocking all of the empty cashier lanes with carts is very classy **cough cough**. I agree with Ressa, this place is too small and gets busy very quickly. I am stunned by the other reviews here. I am always treated well by the staff at this Publix. I know their names because they have been working there for years. I will agree with the annoyance of blocking the register lanes with the carts and the aisles are too small, but the blockages in the aisles are caused more by rude customers. One other problem is that they have a smaller selection of brands than the other Publix stores. They will order things for you, but it is just as easy to go to a different store. My rating is actually an average 5 stars for staff and 3 stars for the physical store. read more

Although this store is closer to home I prefer the product selection, size and ease of use at South Point (9th St, SW) more. However, the staff at this location are very friendly and helpful - and when the recognize you, they treat you like an valued friend returning to visit - while the folks at South Point are bit more grumpy. read more

Deli back right Little shade Deli 2.5 Put lettuce on first for whatever reason. Had a lot of employees in the back but few serving customers. Lots of employee cross talk and inattention to the customers, had to repeat myself for almost every part of the sub. Atmosphere 4 Generally pleasant to walk around the store, other customers mostly indifferent, employees pleasant but laid back. Check out 3 Enough lines open with lots of employees but no efficiency to their work. Took longer than it should have. read more
