Adjustments they have made to keep their employees safe and doing their very best to do the same for their highest priority. Us, the Consumers. From 2-3 people greeting you by the front door in full PPE. With Sanitizing Spray Bottles in hand. Directing you to Sanitized Shopping Carts. Yesterday, in the afternoon of Monday Labor Day. A friendly lady assigned to wipe the carts down. Directed me to the hand wipes, hand sanitizer in a quick but friendly manner. Greeting me with a welcoming tone in her voice. I did not have Hannah My Service Dog to ease my apprehension. (Since, she's still in training and has become a great asset to me. My family and friends. I was making a quick visit for some Holiday goodies). Much to my surprise I realized the store had very little foot traffic. Not the many products we are use to seeing. I was very happy to see a good supply of the GFree & No Lactose products. Since, I have Celiac and cannot consume cows milk. I am able to have Goat Milk products. Feta Cheese made only with Goats Milk is a super delight. I also recomend the Jarlsberg real Cheese No Lactose imported to Sweden. Generally located in the cheese refrigerated case in front of the Fresh Cut To Order Meats & Seafood Butcher Attended Counter. ***A BIG THANK YOU:-) TO PUBLIX ON 21 Street FOR CARRYING THE FROZEN AÇAÍ & DRAGON FRUIT ORGANIC PULP FOR MY SUPER REFRESHER:-)) Exercise IS A MAJOR PLUS. Steaks, Drunken Chicken Mmm... Shopping At/From Publix In So Many Ways Is Still A Pleasure. I shopped quickly. No problems with cleanliness or safe distancing that I could notice. Publix's natural-organic products next to the Pharmacy (Vero Beach store) were a hit with my husband, friends, and me. However, one day, these healthy products next to the pharmacy vanished, replaced by chemical, cancer-causing medications that keep the population sick. We want grass-fed, natural foods like Siete, Base & eziquiel bread they carry. We were thrilled by their health-conscious initiative and shocked by this backward change, and we wondered whether these companies paid Publix more money to replace the good products. Is our health being sold out to the highest bidder? We need more companies supporting our health, not destroying it. The pharmacy staff is also short-tempered. I've been a loyal Publix customer since the 1980s, but I'm confused why they're not on our side. Maybe Whole Foods & Trader Joe's can come in for a chance at us staying healthier. read more

I stopped buying most of my groceries there when I saw they were charging $13.44 for 1# of Oscar Meyer bacon when the Target that is directly across the street was selling the exact same item for $6.99. Wow. I am impressed. Especially after our disappointment with The Fresh Market. Publix is waaaaaaaaaaaay nicer than The Fresh Market. We won't ce going back to TFM. Catch my drift? Clean. Bright. New. Huge selection. High end choices. Normal choices too. Good prices. Specialty cheeses. Huge selection and very nice. HUGE wine selection. I'm talking jumbo isle with so much wine. Wow. Seafood. Fresh and it all looked really good. We bought lobster tails for 9.99/each and some jumbo scallops. They have organic and healthy options too. Which we love since that is how we eat. I was surprised to find Dave's organic bagels there. We love those bagels and it can sometimes be hard to find them. Publix had them! Check. read more

I love Publix. Florida would not be Florida without Publix and vice versa. As a New Yorker, I'm always amazed that there are more Publix in Vero Beach than there are Starbucks. Go figure. I guess it's with good reason: there is very good selection of organic produce, a fresh bakery that bakes great Cuban bread, a fresh, made to order sandwich counter, a wide selection of ethnic foods, quality meats and Boars Head deli products. Lots of ready to go choices, an extensive salad bar and soup bar too. The wine aisle also has a great selection--no gaps. All this for reasonable prices and lots of "BoGo" offers. Add in polite, helpful staff, who offer to bring your goods to the car, makes Publix one of the best supermarket chains in the county, and THIS particular store on Miracle Mile is the best one in Vero. Ps--Whenever I'm up North, I am wishing there were a Publix in New York metro. read more

I think the "greedflation" at Publix is out of control! Example; one dozen Vital Farms pastured eggs are $11.29 a dozen! The VERY same eggs are $5.49 a dozen at Walmart. You can literally buy two dozen of these eggs at Walmart, for less than what you pay for one dozen at Publix! Price gouging and predatory practices at Publix! read more

Publix has always been a great place to shop. It is full of deals like bogos. It has people reply to what ever you need. It practices being clean and safe for people. TThey address anybody problems with curiosity even their employees. As a company employer I see changes threw the. Years that are to accommodate everyone. read more

The hot case in the deli is always empty durning lunch hours. Was told it would take 30 min for Mac & Cheese to be ready and waited the entire time just to be told it would be another 20 minutes. And the hot bar is always empty during the hours it says it'll be open read more

Instacart is a terrible service. I will never try to use them again. they must hire the bottom of the barrel for employees Also . they can find anything that is on the wish list.Also they dont care to find out what the problems are. Even though it's been over a year since Kelly V wrote her review, I take offense to several of her comments, and 2 really stand out. (1) I hope that when she comes of retirement age she will realize it just takes longer for some of the "elderly" to maneuver. (2) The seasonals bring in a lot of revenue, so if the store is over-run with people and they bother you so much, maybe you might consider shopping at one of the other Publix locations. Now - the 415 - 21st St Publix is a true gem! It's large, exceedingly clean, holds a great and diverse variety of product, AND the employees are amazing! Having ordered stone crab claws 7days ago, and we showed up to get them only to be told they were out. WTF do they require my phone number to order yet they don't have the courtesy to call and say they were out. The seafood manager told me he was too busy to call and it is not their job to call either. So much for customer service read more

I don't find the other reviews credible - misbehavior in the parking lot and customers abusing the express lane are not legitimate complaints. The fact is that this is a clean and well organized example of the chain. Much better prices than fresh market across the street. read more

This Pubix is the busiest in town. All of our seasonal guests in town and on the beach are directed here so the place is full of people who are clueless about the store. The super elderly tend to take a really long time to park and some of the guests that end up here are just downright rude! If you live in Vero you know you have like 5 other stores to choose from so I recommend going to the Publix on US1 and 12th or west Oslo from December through May. But I can't. My son has a slew of food allergies and for some reason this store carries more gluten free, soy free, dairy free, egg free options than anywhere else in town. Don't bother with Fresh Market they just charge you double for everything but don't carry anything for special dietary needs. This store does, and gets new stuff in before the rest of the locations! They carry coconut secret aminos which is basically soy sauce sans soy. They also carry So Delicious coffee creamer which is the only way to make a creamy dairy free corn chowder. So this is my Publix of choice, even if not really by choice. I have to say that the produce selection here is far more fresh and extensive than the others in town as well. They carry more Asian produce and a huge selection of fruit that seems scaled back at other locations. The store is spotless. Period. The deli and sandwich counter get really busy here. Even so, when it does get crazy more servers appear like magic from the back room and the line moves fast. The same thing happens at check out too. I've never been more than second in line here because they always have a ton of cashiers and baggers. I even use the pharmacy at this store. I've never had an issue with this pharmacy, but I have had problems with particular prescriptions. The people here used to call my sons doctor every month because it was wrong, and were always so patient and kind to me. They even occasionally caught it and called me to know they already corrected it through the doctor and I could come just pick it up. So yeah, this Publix is busy and some of the customers are difficult. But they keep up and make it a pleasant trip every time. One day I will be so old it takes me 20 minutes to park, and I hope the younger people are patient with me. I remind myself of that every time I go to this store. read more

I often shop at Publix here in Vero. You definitely pay a premium but customer service is decent. However, last couple years their produce hasn't been all that great (not like it used to be). And their bakery adds way too much salt to everything made in-house. All the breads, for example, are super-salty, but sounds like the bakers can't do much to change that. I now often buy my produce at Walmart (because it's actually often fresher there) - or I go to the Fresh Market across the way. read more

worst run publix everytime I go there, some rude moron is in the ten or less item line with a bunch of things and the dumb clerks never say a word. it happened to me about a month ago and i stopped going to this store, i went today because it is close to my house, and guess what, some lady with 20 items in express lane. after she left, i asked the clerk why they bother with the 10 items or less sign, she grunted. pathetic store read more

I'm hooked on the sandwiches from the Publix Deli. One suggestion I have to is place the order online so that it is waiting for you or else you'll be waiting a little while. The deli always has a line but it's a testament to the sandwiches. I moved to Vero back in November and I have to say the Publix here has some of the best customer oriented employees I've met in a grocery store. I'm not sure if this is a company wide thing with Publix to put so much focus into customer service as I'm used to Winn-Dixie's and the old Piggly Wiggly where I'm from. read more

So I shop at this Publix every day, and everything written in the other reviews about the parking lot is completely true. The old zombies are trying to kill you...but where in Vero ISN'T that true?? The Publix itself is a gem. It's clean, beautiful, great-smelling, the lighting is fabulous (as opposed to fresh market), and it has everything you need. I just had to leave a review to say how happy I am with this Publix market. I agree with others it's not only spotless, and has a tremendous selection but what makes it special is the staff. I moved from Marco Island a small island and I use to go to the tinier Publix there... Moving from New Jersey obviously I was extremely shocked and presently surprised how overwhelmingly friendly and helpful the staff was. Just recently moving to Vero Beach this is my closest Publix and I had that same wonderful feeling as soon as I walked in the door. Helpful, friendly, professional. I had to mention one person in particular and that was Kathy who works in the deli section. Yesterday was the first day I actually spoke to her, but noticed she was always working every time that I came into the store. She left a lasting impression on me of friendliness, helpfulness, professional and organized her staff accordingly. I use to run a big hotel chain in Food and Beverage by Marriott and I wish I had 100 Kathy's! A wonderful welcoming smile which just makes my day every day I come in and see her! Ok drive into this place and you are putting your life into the hands of a 90 year old who should have had their license pulled right after Nixon was out of office. Literally, a crash a day in this parking lot during season. By the time I get into the store I have had it and am feeling disgusted with the situation..is it just me?? Then I pay way too much for the honor of the bag boy walking me out to the car. The last three times I went , no bag boy and I packed my own bags. Where are all the bag boys? One lane open and the place is packed. Who runs this place and where is the common sense? 15 people standing around and one lane open and no bag boys. I walk out with my own bags cursing the joint and OHHH, there's the bag boys smoking...great! read more

i shop at 21st st mostly, but have shopped at all many times. my problem with publix is that they are the only game in town, basically. fresh market is a nice store but do not carry enough of the things i buy and are way too over priced. the new walmart grocery store is the exact same store as our walmart on 20th, and i found it more expensive than the big store. i only shopped there once, so i will give it another shot though. ok, publix, the employees are always nice, and most of the stores are clean. i will say though that i have complained to all the managers of all the stores about the same things. i found every manager to be short and clearly annoyed with me the second they realized i was complaining, with the exception of the produce manager on 12th st. my complaints are as follows. since, and prior to the last election, when some of the candidates were talking about raising the minimum wage, i have seen my grocery bill rise several times. in anticipation of the minimum wage increase, publix has raised their prices because they are not about to go backwards! publix, you know florida is a state of a majority of elderly people on a fixed income. the people in america have made less money each year for a decade, while you and most stores have continually raised your prices. retire at 56 or 60 is no longer an option for most. your produce is crummy, how many times to i have to pick out of rotten onions or potatoes. then you have the nerve to tell us that we have to pay by the pound. you tell me thats how you get them from the farms you deal with, and my answer is how many farms are there in america, duh! to top that off, you managers have the nerve to look at me like im crazy and that is normal! you have alot of nerve being annoyed because i'm complaining, and no, it's not normal in nj or ny! i've never had that problem in my life! i'm talking about 2 managers from 21st st, one from 58th ave and one from the oslo and 4 3rd ave in vero beach, fl. i can't wait till we get a different food store, because i've had enough!÷ how many times have i filled out a form for you to order something i have bought there for sometime, only to never be called that it's in, or to be told publix must have discontinued because it didn't sell enough. i don't care if i'm the only one who wants it! i have never had another grocery store do that, ever in 40 years. for example, you sell 12 oz and 16 oz hot styrofoam cups which you still sell, but you have stopped selling the tops for them! don't even try to tell me the tops didn't sell. i don't believe it. if you discontinued the tops we are forced to buy a much more expensive cup that includes tops. i hope a different store opens up, i will be more than happy to change stores, and i spend at least $300.00 per week there. i'm tired of your woefully inadequate management! like i said, the employees are always great, but you managers should be leading by example and you dont! finally disgusted with publix! read more
