We were on our way to visit friends in Cocoa Beach and stopped here to get some flowers for our hosts. They had a good selection of bouquets and potted plants, flowers and orchids. I have never had an issue with plants bought at Publix. They have always been hardy and healthy. The store was very busy with staff putting stuff on the shelves and organizing for the busy day ahead. Ordered a cake at the bakery for a special occasion! Sadly at first I wasn't happy with the lettering as I felt like it was rushed and not centered! By the time I picked it up there was no decorator to fix it! However the manager on duty Katherine was sooo helpful to take my cake and make sure I got it redone to pick it up next day by 6:30am as I needed it as early as possible! She was soo helpful and kind understanding my situation!! She made the experience getting the cake at Publix so worth it! I liked this Publix location a lot better prior to their remodel a few years ago. I find the store's layout to be odd. Additionally, I think there's a lot of wasted real estate. Often, some of the customer service staff seems disgruntled or bothered. I don't find this to be true with staff in the other departments such as grocery and produce. The variety of organic goods and produce are commendable. As far as grocery product, I've stumbled across expired products on more than one occasion. I do my best to shop at the Belmont plaza off Belvedere or the Cityplace location. While the Cityplace layout is unique, it's more user friendly. More important, the staff at both of these aforementioned locations are far more pleasant. read more

I just stood in line at the customer service counter for 25 min in order to pay a bill via Western Union only to have the employees tell me they can't figure out the system. I asked for a manager and was told there was no manager on duty? WHAT? It's 7:30 pm. It's not like it's 5 min before they close and how is there not ALWAYS a manager in the store? This is the final stage for me. Today, I waited in line for a sub, I waited 22 minutes in line, and keep in mind that there were 4 people in front of me. To be told THAT THEY DONT HAVE BUFFALO SAUCE. WERE IN PUBLIX THEY HAVE THE SAUCE BUT ARE TO LAZY TO GET IT FROM AN ISLE. ABSOLUTELY BUL***The people who work the deli, specifically the subs station, are the absolute worst. They move with no sense of urgency. They laugh as the line builds; then give attitude when you order. The attendant, Nephy, literally took 15 minutes to make 2 subs. Absolutely unacceptable. It's one of the busiest stations in the building and they take their time and do not care if you're in a rush. I've tried to order online to expedite the process, and still end up waiting another 20 minutes for the sun that I ordered. HORRIBLE SERVICE. The ladies who work in the Deli are rude, slow, and inconsiderate! I consider myself a pretty polite guy. I smile, Please, Thank you, & if it's 8:00 pm i'll cut you a little slack.. but this lady LITERALLY stops what she's doing just to talk to the worker next to her.. and not only that but they laugh and speak in another language which PERSONALLY in my opinion is very rude. Then to top it off, she gave me a rude look and huffed her breath when I asked her to dice the Tomato's and onions on my sub. My Sub only has 6 ingredients... that's just poor customer service. All it took was one trip to Florida for me to become a Pub Sub convert. I'm seriously jealous of the sandwich bar Floridian's have access to at all times. I ate here twice in three days! The five grain bread is one of the most delicious carbs I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying. I tried both the roast beef sandwich, and the turkey sandwich, and was super impressed with both of them. It certainly helps they make these with Boar's Head deli meat. This place is actually hell on earth. While I usually enjoy Publix, this location is awful. The parking lot is a continuous nightmare for cars. The entrance of the store is so crammed together with different sale items that customers can hardly move through the entrance. The staff in the deli are rude and can never seem to get simple orders right. However, the thing that really made this a one star review is the fact that my cashier could not handle counting. I gave her a $20 bill for my $14.83 bill and she could not count back the change. She had to ask the bagger to count the change out for her, she also did not know what nickels were. 1) Make sure to check the expiration dates, because a lot of times the items on the shelf are already expired. I have found this many times in the yogurt and sauces sections. 2) Be prepared to hold up the line if you are using coupons, the cashiers take forever to read and try to find ways to reject them (calling them fake and etc.) 3) Don't use digital coupons. The cashiers don't know how to handle them. I stood there for 20 minutes for them to figure out why it wasn't showing up. At the end, it appeared that it's because she didn't press the right button on the computer. 4) Better hope everything ring up correctly. If it's the wrong price, be prepared to wait half an hour for them to cross check everything and consult multiple people to figure out what happened before they correct the price for you. read more

Plubix' is becoming more like Walmart everyday. I have been a loyal customer for 15 years and have recently seen changes at Publix. I always accepted paying more but Publix was exceptional and it was worth it. Now when you go into a Publix' there are displays in almost every aisle (clutter just like Walmart) I was in Publix the other day and there were stocking carts everywhere, 3 in one aisle with nobody stocking. Yesterday I returned 2 milk cartons that I picked up last week that were dated to use by Oct 2016 and they didn't want to give me money back without a receipt; I am sorry how many keep a grocery store receipt for 2 weeks? 2 nights ago I cooked some ground Turkey and got food poisoning and yes it was cooked properly. I don't like Walmart but if I am going to place similar to it it I might as well save the 15%. So things are changing and not for the good read more

Well, after much anticipation, and being forced to shop at Walmart, the new rebuilt Publix is open. Guess what? It is a publix. It is interesting, how in different parts of the country, certain grocery stores monopolize the market. In Tennessee, it is Kroger, here Publix. They take advantage of their monopoly, by jacking up their prices. They do have the bogo deals, and if you happen to need 2 of that product, it is sometimes a good deal. For the most part though, you are not going to save money here. They pride their selves on customer service, and though no one is exceptionally friendly, they do honor their commitments. The reputation for a exceptional bakery is earned, and they, outside of "bay bays", have the best fried chicken. I have no idea how many stars you give a grocery store, but I am giving 3, 2 less than5 for price, would give two more for bakery and chicken. read more

I have had three bad experiences at this Publix! The first experience was a rude worker at the checkout line, and I called the corporate office. The second experience was with myself and my sister in the ten items or less line. The worker asked "is that ten items". There were eleven items all together in our cart, but we were paying separately. Meaning each of us had less than 10 items. She was completing the transaction before ours, and I have no idea why we were interrogated. Lastly I called this store and asked the seafood department about a specific sushi. The lady in the seafood department told me she'd hold the sushi for me and when I got there she was gone along with the sushi. No one seemed to care that I drove there for a blank trip, and my frustrations were met with shrugged shoulders. My only hope was to prevent this from happening in the future if I or any other customer were to call and inquire about an item in the store. I may as well shop else where, because shopping has not been a pleasure at this particular location. There seems to be no one accountable for such poor service, and I must explore the many other grocery store options in my area. read more

Always have everything needed. I love going to this Publix, as it is brand new and just opened. My gym is in the same plaza and immediately after working out, I head over to publix to pick up something to drink and a half a sandwich. They are always courteous and most of the employees there are genuinely interested in assisting you. I will continue going to this location in the future! read more
