Xscape got a negative review that had nothing to do with the travel agency services provided by Xscape Travel. Sorry to see how these social media review forums are unjustly spreading rumors about credible businesses and services.

Not a traveler but a former tenant. Greediest landlord I've ever had. Which is almost as bad as him…read moreinvading my privacy. He went inside my apt without any notice or permission just to see if I had a bed or not. That is NOT an emergency reason to enter a residence and is illegal for him to do so. He then insisted on putting a bed inside while I was at work rather than just waiting for me to be at home. I felt like he was just snooping and it made me feel unsafe and like I had zero privacy in my own home. When I asked if I could leave before the lease ended, he said he would keep my deposit and demand I stay until the end of January rather than leave in Dec like I wanted to. Or sue me for the rest of the lease. So I didn't get to move when I wanted to. When I asked about putting in a washer and dryer he said he'd raise the rent by $20. I spend MAYBE $20 a month at the laundromat..why would I pay that at home? In the end, I didn't owe him any rent at all and left the place superbly clean but he still kept part of my deposit. There was NO REASON to short me on my deposit. But hey, I'm just a cancer patient and barely make enough money as is, so I guess as a business owner he needed my money more than I do. That's called being greedy, plain and simple.

It was a Sunday night, so it was really quiet. Good place to stay if a little pricey for the Pueblo Fair to see Cheap Trick.

She was very pleasant. the drink tickets for the CLINK were a nice surprise. There should be more historical information in the hotel. I remember when people used to stay there, before it was a hotel!

The hosts, Cindy & Jeff are just incredible, warm people. We only stayed one night and left feeling as if we'd known them for years. The hosts Jeff and Cindy were fabulous! They worked tirelessly to make my visit the best possible. The house is gorgeous, as was my room. While i was there, they hosted a mixer for my reunion, as well as a concert and an open mike. All of the events were very well managed including everything from food and beverages, and somehow seating around 100 people. They even handled the interruption of a couple thunderstorms, preventing the parties from becoming a disaster. I will visit again everytime I visit Pueblo. Room strongly smelled of mildew and needed a good spraying of Lysol just to make it bearable. The hotel was full so we couldn't change rooms. Bad lodging experience and we won't stay at La Quinta again. When we checked out, we were told a receipt could not be issued and that we would get one from Booking.com. On this last recent visit, I specifically requested a room that does not have the ability to adjoin another room. We were assigned a room that did have the door to adjoin another room. We then realized after 9pm that the toilet did not flush in our bathroom, and the water in the toilet actually kept rising. The desk agent (not Alex) told us there was no maintenance on the property so she moved us across the hall to another room with a door that again adjoins another room. That new room was dirty, had no toiletries, and the bed was awful. We actually stayed in that room on a recent trip, too. That's why we did not want a room with the door that could adjoin another room. The rooms next door are loud because there is less sound barrier. The "new" room also had a big open hole in the refrigerator space in the cabinet with exposed electrical wiring and a tunnel to who knows where. (There was a refrigerator and microwave in the room outside of the space where they are typically located in the other hotel rooms.) Per the usual, the hotel's plumbing did not work correctly. We canceled our most recent reservation at the LQ Pueblo hotel because we couldn't continue paying for a service that did not meet expectations and continued to disappoint. We often travel between Texas and Montana, making this hotel a convenient stopover in between. I guess it's not so convenient given the inconvenient features and experiences. Forget it. We stayed at a LQ in Colorado Springs this time. It's an older property, but it wasn't as dirty, the plumbing worked as it should, and the bed was actually comfortable. The LQ in Pueblo needs some major upgrades. Start with the plumbing. Also, have Alex train the staff. She should be a manager. She knows the property. She knows the reservation process and how to help customers with their stays. She listens, and she is proactive. We have enjoyed pleasant stays at the LQ in Pueblo in years past, but the last few years have not been kind to this hotel.
