My friend dropped me off at the Willamette Pl stop in Colorado Springs, which has a bus‑style waiting area. Yes, this might be an issue if you arrive in snow or rain! The staff member inside answered extra questions my friend had about their limited free parking. The van was clean and spacious. Other than some window noise, there was nothing that stood out. The other passengers (including children) were quiet the whole way to our destination. Overall, it was a great value. I can't even get a Lyft or Uber to the San Diego airport for what Groome charges. More importantly, the ride was safe. Our driver, Wade, transported us to the Denver airport earlier than expected, and I would definitely use this service again.

My daughter, son in law, and granddaughter live in Colorado springs so United is the logical and best choice for me to see them. I bought the ticket with points so I don't know what the cash price would have been. The flights between Denver and Los Angeles were on Airbus 320 series airplanes and were comfortable. The Denver to Colorado springs legs were onboard crj200 commuter planes. Those are cramped for a guy my size. 5'8" and 220# with wide shoulders. Fortunately those were short legs so I wasn't cramped for too long. Also it's worth noting that those are commuter flights operated by a contracted commuter airline, not United airlines. My biggest disappointment was weather related, I had passes for the first class lounge and intended to use them during my layovers in Denver. Unfortunately my trip from LAX to DEN had a connection between terminals that left me short on time. Then my flight from Colorado Springs to Denver took a 40 minute delay due to a Denver ground stop and that ate up my layover and left me hustling between gates. Oh well, maybe next time. Again, not united's fault, just unfortunate timing. Maybe next time I will have enough of a layover to enjoy the lounge.
