I took my car to the shop. I was told my car needs new headlights. The entire system. I gave them a deposit of $200. I was discussing the issue with a friend of mine. He looked under the hood and said the problem was that the wire wasn't grounded properly. He grounded it. Now they refuse to give me my money back. Mind you, it was a deposit for work to be completed. No work was done. No paperwork ever signed stating that I would lose my money if I did not repair my car. EXCELLENT SERVICE TO STRANDED TRAVELERS!!! Our Lexus overheated while driving on a remote stretch of I-25 on our way to Colorado. The problem turned out to be a radiator failure. We were able to limp along for about 3 hours to Walsenburg, CO and leave our vehicle outside of an auto repair shop. Being Saturday, the shop was closed and would not be open until Monday morning. The Walsenburg folks were not sure that they could even diagnose the problem until Tuesday or even find the replacement radiator and recommended Pueblo Imports to us. We had the car towed to Pueblo and arrived about noon on Monday. We had already called Norm, the Service Manager, to tell him what was going on and let him know that we were headed that way. He let us know that all his work space was committed with "local" customers but that they tried to make reasonable accomodations for stranded travelers. Long story short, they had to source the specific replacement radiator from Texas, had it sent overnight, completed the work on Tuesday, and had us rolling by about 3 PM. Norm was knowledgeable, understanding, straightforward in our conversations, stayed in contact with us appropriately during the repair, and even recommended things to do and places to eat during our stay. I hope you don't break down in a remote place in southern Colorado on the weekend, but if you do, get to Pueblo Imports ASAP. read more

I was traveling broke down on the side of the highway near Pueblo being that I drive a BMW and has to go somebody who works on BMWs I called them they say they can take my car but they can look at it until Monday so I have aaa tow the car to them on Monday they call me and tell me what's wrong. I've been told them that I will be there by the end of the week to pick up the car . When I went to pick up the car found out then my back window was broken over the weekend but they didn't tell me this on Monday when they called me to tell me what was wrong with my car. And in return took no responsibility for the situation made me feel like it was my fault because I left my car there and was supposed to know that there was a homeless shelter three blocks down the street and that was why they won't responsible for my vehicle being broken. read more

I wish I could give 0 stars I've been in and out of this shop countless times. Every visit I left with a new problem. First, my timing chain broke, spent around 3k for the repair, after another mechanic looked at my car for my valve cover breaking, the idiot didn't even bolt down my camshaft. Next, he also repaired my fuel pump but didn't unwrap the float so my gas gauge couldn't work. Next he installed new front breaks costing over 1200 and I just found out he put the passenger break pads on backwards causing my rotor to grind down like crazy. And this is only the tip of the iceberg. Lazy, sloppy work. This man has stolen so much of my hard earned money. read more

This place is the worst repair place on the planet! We took my sons Mercedes there 5 months ago to to have his engine replaced which took them 2 months to do and my son hasn't had the car back a day without an issue yet. The car has been back 7 or eight times being with being towed there as well. They've charged him thousands for these "new" issues but haven't fixed the problem yet. If you want to keep your means of transportation, don't let them touch your car!! read more

I have a finicky old Audi A8, which I love, but which is far from a simple car. Pueblo Imports has repeatedly kept me on the road, and at a fair price. They have been honest and reliable. One time, I had a scary problem: the accelerator would become stuck when I hit the gas. I asked them to diagnose the problem. Whatever the expense to fix this problem, it would be worth it! After a few days I had a verdict ("Your carpet is getting stuck under the pedal.") They fixed my "mechanical" problem for free. I might add: they're nice people! read more

Very very poor customer service. They have had my sons car for almost three weeks now. They have the parts but have not heard any updates on it. I have driven by the shop several times and the car is just sitting outside. They wanted half of the payment upfront before any repairs would be done which we have paid three fourths of the bill. I would highly recommend avoiding this shop if you need your car. If you need to drop your car off for storage they are the place to go. Never again read more

I read the reviews and was a little skeptical about taking my bmw here. And although we started a little rocky, I have to say Norm and the crew at Pueblo Imports have really impressed me. All I ask for in a business is integrity, do what you say you will do. Norm called me just to tell me my part was not in or had not arrived yet. I am very impressed and trust me, that's not easy. I recently brought my vehicle in to be diagnosed. It's always concerning to take your vehicle in for work not knowing if the place is trustworthy or if they are out to make a fortune off your misfortune. I was told that this is a very good place to bring your vehicle. I called and they got me right in. They were honest and did an outstanding job. Foreign vehicles are at times way more expensive than American, so when you have a problem you really want to know your not being taken advantage of. They ordered my parts and repaired my vehicle quickly and reasonably. I will return for all my vehicle needs. The owner is a very nice man and the mechanic was really nice too. I'll give them a one star for answering the phone...Shame on Norm who was very reud when I asked him about needing oxygen sensors replaced in my 2004 Mini Cooper. After getting the quote I said how much? Then he started with an attitude. After hearing the price I asked him where they get their parts? For that price they better come solid gold!!! Norm was his name....he basically told me take it somewhere else. So what, are they trying to take advantage of people or what? He was upset that I asked him where he got the parts? So what are they trying to hide? Makes no sense...just like wanting to know the name of oil or other products going on and in your vehicle. Shame on you Norm!!! So what's the deal with this place.?? I've heard they cost too much, from several people but , atleast i gave them a chance. The customer service is horrible!! And I will not take my Mini Cooper nor BMW to a place like this ever!! Especially when they act like that over wanting to know where they get their parts.Whats the big deal over that ,unless they are trying to just take advantage over people.?? They were unable to fix my VW Jetta. I was told it was not their fault my car broke. After 2 mis-diagnosis, and them determining they were not "certified" to work on the car, they charged me $1400 and i had to pick it up on a trailer. I tried to have a level headed business discussion with the owner but was yelled at and interrupted so many times, that regardless of the fact they could not fix my car and i felt i was overcharged, the owner was the incredibly rude and no better word than an ass hole. read more

Their repair service has cost me a few months without a car, a new engine, and a lot of bad will. It started with an overheating engine in June 2016. First it was just a thermostat, then valve cover gaskets, etc, with the totals growing each time. I would take the car home, and the first big hill I climbed the car would overheat. They progressed to telling me that it needed a new head gasket - and the mechanic that put the engine back together did not use gaskets, used silicone instead. I kept finding loose parts - and why didn't they fix the leaking oil pan, replace the missing bolts, etc?????? While it was there, it sustained over $6k hail damage that they did not even call me to tell me about, just said "oh well" when we picked up the car...gee thanks. Remember this...a phone call goes a long way. After the head gasket, the car still overheated. They replaced the radiator. The mechanic said "Oh, I drove 80 - 85 up the hill and it didn't overheat." Is that the way a mechanic test drives a car? Total cost for this journey was about 6 weeks and close to $4k, in addition to the hail damage. Oh, but they kept commenting on my car sticker and how cute it was. Less than a week later, didn't overheat, but the check engine light came on. Afraid to take it back there, we took it somewhere else - found out about the crappy repair job, they did not use oem subaru parts, did not adjust valves when the engine was apart, did not USE GASKETS but used SILICONE!!! among other things, which has cost me a whole new engine - the fixit job left the original engine in too bad of a shape to rebuild. Frankly, I am still considering what to do as far as following up by small claims court, etc. I am so angry about this whole journey that I just shake when I think about it. This should not have to happen to anyone..this type of work is terrible and irresponsible...and I am not made of money either! I suggest that you take your business elsewhere, and save a lot of heartache and time. read more

About a week ago, we were just leaving Pueblo Co on a cross country trip. As we left Pueblo a warning came on our information panel in our vehicle stating that there was an engine fault and that the engine power would be reduced, and that we should get to a BMW dealer asap. The engine was running very roughly, and with much reduced power. I have worked on engines as a hobby most of my life, and determined that we should not risk running the vehicle much more in the event a timing chain had slipped or other significant issue. A towing company brought us to Pueblo Imports, whom I had contacted about the issue. We arrived about 45 minutes from their closing time, but they connected their BMW diagnostic device immediately to see if they could get us going quickly. Further diagnosis was required which also meant removing engine panels and some braces, all of which could not be done that day. The owner's wife volunteered to take us to the hotel where we had made arrangements to stay. The next day, just prior to making arrangements for a rental car, I called Pueblo Imports to find out how things were going. They had just finished up the vehicle and were ready for us to pick it up. Turns out, once enough panels' etc were removed, they found a large vacuum line and come off (loss of vacuum affects nearly all engine operation). They secured the line and put the car back together. They even offered to pick us up at the hotel again. The price for the service was very fair and we would recommend Pueblo Imports to anyone based on our experience. Thank you. read more
