This place is in a kiosk location inside one of the entrances of the Clackamas Mall. You can smell the delicious bubble waffles cooking in all parts of the mall. Found this on Yelp, as I was craving some dessert. You can create your own concoction or you can pick one of their fan favorites. I opted for a fruit medley with a regular bubble waffle cone. The bubble waffle concept as a cone is AMAZING! Unlike sugar cones, or waffle cones, the bubble waffle doesn't break apart. It only comes apart in the small bubble chunks as you devour the delicious and smooth ice cream. After taking several bites, I was in awe of how good tasting this is. I was pretty full from my dinner I ate next door (see Bon Chon review), but I was left wanting another full size bubble waffle dessert. Pretty good for being a standalone in the mall. They were somewhat quick for having to make the waffle and assemble your cone. Presentation is a on point and flavors were great. It's huge so this should be shared. I mean, if you can eat it all yourself, more power to you! I tried, but I had a lot of sushi right before and needed dessert so I got a puffle waffle. You can create your own or get one of their creations. They also have sugar and cake cones plus individual cups if you don't want the waffle. I created my own and got a puffle waffle, huckleberry cheesecake ice cream, fresh strawberries, and strawberry drizzle. It was amazing but I felt like the huckleberry ice cream was too rich. I should have gotten plain vanilla. The waffle was soo good. I could have gotten the waffle itself and been satisfied. Now I know next time what to get! read more

This was a gem we found in the middle of the Clackamas Mall. Three of us were looking for a nice treat on our last day together on this work trip. We were craving some cake and ice cream and this place delivered. Instructions on how to order were easy and the two ladies behind the counter were very helpful and patient. I ordered the Berry Delight which has the original waffle for the cone and huckleberry cheesecake ice cream as the base. There was a generous portion of strawberry, blueberry and blackberry with some glaze as the topping. The waffle was served warm, we saw them make it fresh. It was crispy outside and soft inside. It perfectly complemented the ice cream and berries. It hit the spot for me! My two friends also enjoyed the Pina Colada and Vanilla Ice Cream with mango boba, I wish they had this in the San Francisco Bay Area. read more

I've been getting puddle waffle for years and unfortunately today will be my last. The quality of the ice cream was drastically declined. It was honestly inedible. Additionally, my order was messed up and the girl behind the counter refused to redo it. I loved going here whenever I went to the mall but I'll be avoiding it for now on. :( read more

This place is on the JC Penney side of the mall. They are waffles puffed around a generous scoop of Umpqua ice cream. They are handheld. They charge $9 for one. I believe for Umpqua ice cream that is really pressing it. It just means instead of making this a frequent treat before a movie, it's only a treat once in a while. Give them a 15-20 minute time buffer. These things take a while to make and there is usually a small line. If you don't want to pay nine bucks you can always just grab a cup of ice cream with some toppings added. It's not much special, and it's spendy. Umpqua just isn't worth nine dollars, waffle or not. read more

This place is great! What a fun thing to do! Enter the mall by the Starbucks near Barnes and Noble. Order on the corner by the screen. Everyone else is waiting! The waffles need to be cooled before you put ice cream and it's a process. Both plain and matcha flavor were great. I had huckleberry cheesecake, some berry sauce and a strawberry. Loved the flavors and all the options. One downfall is that it's in the mall so you have to go in to experience it, but it's near a candy store so you can shop for whatever holiday is on the horizon while you wait. read more

Unfortunately there was what seem to be an eyelash hair in my ice cream. I know it is pretty much out of their control for that to happen but it still pretty gross. The ice cream overall was really good but you have to eat it pretty fast as it starts leaking from the bottom and creates a really big mess. I came here around 6 o'clock on a Friday and it wasn't busy at all. The concession stand is in the middle of the mall in a weird location. It's not too big but it's also not too small. I ordered the queen of matcha waffle with a single scoop for 6 dollars and they didn't even have the matcha ice cream. It came with the green tea waffle, green tea pocky, Mochi, condensed milk, and green tea ice cream but they didn't have anymore of the ice cream which resulted in me getting coconut. I wasn't really a fan of the Mochi or pocky but the waffle had the right amount of crispiness on the outside and softness in the inside and the coconut ice cream was refreshing with the coconut flakes mixed in. My boyfriend got the berry delight with a single scoop for 6 dollars also and it came with the original waffle, huckleberry cheese ice cream, strawberries, blueberries, and blackberry sauce. The waffle was a unique placeholder for the ice cream cone and the fruit helped balance out the sweetness from the waffle and ice cream. Sadly I am only giving them three stars as this was my first time and I am not sure if I had too high expectations. The Puffle Waffle seems like a novel concept, but I thought it would taste better than it did. I went simple with a Green Tea waffle and Ube ice cream so that I could taste the waffle, but the waffle was cold and flavorless (none of the "creamy/custardy" filling I had heard about) and the ice cream wasn't that flavorful. I might go back just to see if it was a fluke and adjust the stars at that point, however if this is your first time you should go for the novelty of the experience and actually boost your order with several types of toppings and different scoops of ice cream.
