Very tasty and refreshing after our Mexican food lunch. Our server was more than happy to give us tastes of whatever flavor we wanted to try and then made our gelati choices quickly and perfectly. Oh, my goodness, I love custard so much! I was recently lamenting that Portland comes up short when it comes to quality custard shops. That's when a friend suggested I give Oh My Gelati in Oregon City a shot. I'm so appreciative of the recommendation, thank you! The shop has great signage with clear instructions on ordering your favorite flavors and combinations. There are two soft serve custard flavors, chocolate and vanilla. A large variety of flavors and toppings can be added to the custard, and it can also be layered with Italian ice. It doesn't get any better than this, folks! I was suffering from decision fatigue, so I opted for "the Turtle," one of their house specialties. Hot fudge, caramel, and pecans layered in vanilla and chocolate custard. Holy custard cows, what a perfect choice! This dessert has to go down in Nico history as one of my favorites of all time! I highly recommend a visit to Oh My Gelati. As an avid gelato fan, this came up on my Yelp and I bookmarked it to try. While not traditional gelato, this shop is similar to one I loved when we lived in SC called Rita's. I love the concept of the bright Italian ice paired with the creamy frozen custard. The menu is large and varied with flavors for everyone. I chose a small gelati in tiger's blood flavor (strawberry/coconut/watermelon) and vanilla custard. The delivery is very appealing with a layered effect of flavors. I found myself wishing for more tartness in the gelati flavor. My hubby chose to get a whip in the same flavors. In retrospect, we should have diversified our flavors to get a better idea of what is available at the shop. Both offerings were fine but I think we would prefer to get a sundae or hurricane instead if we were to visit again. The service was very friendly and inviting. Everything I've had from here has been delicious, and there's a wide variety of flavors available. It's a bit pricey, but I personally think it's worth it (though ¢35 for two tiny cherries is definitely pushing it). I do think they should change the containers, or at least the lids. Wow so amazing! The frozen custard is smooth and creamy with balanced flavor. They have so many flavors that it would takes years to try all the combinations! I had a German Chocolate with Vanilla Frozen Custard and it was amazing. The right amount of chocolate and a smooth creamy texture. I'll have to go back to try more combinations. Took a detour here (that probably added 20 minutes or so to our drive time) because I've been craving Italian ice and no one makes it in the Seattle/Tacoma/Olympia area. There was a crazy long list of flavors and combinations- custard, Italian ice, shakes, and honestly I forget what else. I came for the gelati- layered custard (usually vanilla but here you can do vanilla, chocolate or a twist- I went with vanilla) and Italian ice. They had a load of flavors and I had a hard time deciding. great mix of flavors and you could see that they were made from real fruits (truly a treat). I got tiger's blood and POG- both great but I recommend the POG more- coconut took over the Tiger's blood a tad too much. Lots of unique and tropical flavors. The woman running the shop was super helpful. I did get a good laugh when two customers came in while we were eating and were exclaiming over all the options and how hard it was to choose and she said "not even sorry, I want to make all the options." This is the kind of place you could go every week and not scrape the surface of all the options. Super cute store with adequate seating too. I will be back whenever I'm passing through or going to Portland. I wish this was closer to home. Definitely giving my favorites in the east coast a run for their money. read more

Occasionally checking to see if they reopened. It looks like we weren't the only ones because their grand opening tonight was slammed! Gelati is a wonderful delicious mix of Italian ice and Italian custard (which has 10-15% less air than ice cream, so it's silkier and creamier). They offer tons of flavors for the custard and their Italian ice, as well as various toppings (sprinkles are free)! We tried it out tonight and feel over the moon happy that this Oh My Gelati opened up! I was so excited to see this place pop up in Oregon City recently. I remember a previous store that had custard and gelato that we would trek out of our way and this is either the same ownership or very very similar in their offering. They have a large selection of gelato with some unusual due to try flavors thrown in - like habanero. One thing Portland is lacking is their Custard game - like literally non Existent, I don't get it. It's so decadent and delicious and most cities I've lived in have a handful of offerings. The custard here is good, it's not the shining star but it's good and the combo of custard and gelato "gelati" hits it out of the park. One thing I loved was the size offerings, sometimes something small to hit the spot is all I want and I was so happy I didn't have to get more than I needed. I would've liked a tiny bit more of the cookie dough bits, but it wasn't a big deal, and certainly not important enough to knock off a star. But the pistachio gelati is not good and I do not recommend anyone order it. It tastes like chemicals and there's a ton of unmixed green food dye in mine. I can only imagine all the flavor have a ton of food dye that gets mixed into the custard. It's the most fake, over processed pistachio flavor I've ever tasted.
