I visited Puffy's Thrift and Mercantile on the Miracle Mile with my mom and aunt, and we had a really lovely time. The shop is thoughtfully laid out, clean, and full of unique pieces. It's clear a lot of care goes into how everything is presented, and it makes for a really pleasant shopping experience. Rob, the owner, and his daughter Katie were both welcoming and kind. You can tell they've created something special here that's rooted in community. They do take clean, gently used donations from Wednesday to Saturday, but it's best to check in with them first before dropping anything off. When I walked in, I knew it would be a great adventure in Puffy's Thrift Mercantile because I was welcomed immediately with a cheerful, "welcome"! Truth be told, I just walked in here to kill time, but I treat thrift stores like Treasure Hunting as one will not know what they find! They had books and clothes and mixed media and housewares, but it was all well placed and in very good condition. When I realized I had to go (because time seemed to have moved so quickly when I was in there), I headed to the checkout and I had a very good conversation with the owner. In which, it was very nice and pleasant. And yes, I did end up buying something because I realized I needed something for my trip overseas! I also noticed the vintage comic books that they had behind the counter, and it was in a plastic bag for all you collectors! I will definitely be back! read more

Literally an amazing little gem on the Miracle Mile! They have awesome items every time I go, very fair pricing and wonderful staff. Best part- their donations to local animal causes. cute shop on Miracle Mile. I didn't buy anything but the items were nice to look at. They have vintage items, saw some 90's stuff from my childhood. The store was clean and organized. It's not like your typical thrift store. Different topic, I loved this one song they were playing in the store. I asked the worker if he knew the name of it. He was like hold on, I can check. I guess the phone it was playing off from was in the back of the shop so I followed him and he showed me the phone and I took a picture. Guess it was some random playlist. VERY cool spot on the Mile... By far this is the cleanest and most organized thrift shop I've ever been to. While it's still a hodge podge of all sorts of items from clothing to tableware to books, everything is neatly organized and displayed in an attractive way that makes you think more of boutique shop than your typical second hand store. The workers are super friendly and helpful and I love the fact that proceeds are donated to animal rescues. If you like thrifting, you'll LOVE Puffy's. read more

I stopped by this thrift shop on the Miracle Mile and I was pleasantly surprised by all of the cool and funny stuff that was in here and everything was so cheap. They had clothes, books, mugs, music, trinkets etc. The man working also let me know that they donate to good causes such as buying dog food so I highly recommend supporting this place and asking about it when you are there. Puffy's is really really cute!! I live in Sacramento, so it's a little bit of a drive for me to visit here just for a casual shopping excursion. I do get a little sad reading this review because it was on October 21, 2022 when my mom still had mobility and we were able to take her out for a day of shopping and foodie adventures! I love this place! The selection is very vintage-y (lots of home decor, plates, artwork, books, clothes) and it's clean and well-organized. Everything is also so cheap/reasonable prices! I got two picture frames, a hardcover book/textbook, and two thank you cards for less than $4! Super cute, eclectic, fun, little thrift store with friendly employees and an inspiring mission to support animals in need. A lovely hidden gem in Stockton! And quite possibly, one of the best well-kept thrift shops I've ever been to. Thrift wares are equally cute, eclectic, and fun -- tea sets, glass cups and plates, ceramics, clothing (including brand-names), CDs and DVDs, crafting supplies, shoes, kitchen supplies, vintage comics, etc. All of the shelves are neat and clean, and the way the inside is decorated feels almost boutique-like. Very fair prices. I snagged two 4x4 glass containers for $0.95 each and a unique woven bamboo/wood purse for $15. Store is dog-friendly :) read more

I actually found this establishment through a Google search this is a gem hidden in Stockton. Every time I go to Goodwill I can never find anything that I'm looking for. I saw the reviews on Google and decided to stop by Puffy's. Everyone is very friendly they're so helpful and willing to help you. The items that they have are unique and of great quality. I completely Love this establishment!!!! The selection and variety gives you a unique experience every turn you make. If your book lover which I am , the smell of the turn of page brings you back to the library of yesterday but better finding treasures you never knew existed. The eye candy of Fashion, colors to tempt to eye to decorate your home and life . And that Omg!! I can't believe this!!! I remember having this when I was this old.....I'm gonna get it ....item!! This is just the start.... The Staff is absolutely Amazing!!!! Friendly, just like family from moment you walk in the door. It's refreshing to shop local in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. I loved my experience as my children who ranged in ages from 14 to 5 . We all found a treasure to take home. I do have to add.... being that I have an auto- immune disorder and severe asthma as well as my oldest. It does make wearing a mask difficult at times but I DO and so does my family !! Hands down the best thrift store in N. California! I went the first time because I heard that the proceeds benefit animals in need, then fell in love with the shop and the owners. Puffy's looks like a boutique, with beautifully designed and artistic merchandising, and front window displays that look like those found in high-end department stores. Cool, quirky and functional thrift store finds are offered at excellent prices, and there are new things added daily. Rob, Gracie and Katie are a wonderful local family that take great care to run a clean, safe and wonderfully merchandised, classy thrift store on the Miracle Mile. I always find multiple fun items, collectibles, clothes, shoes, books and costume jewelry every time I visit. The precautions they take and request of others are to keep all of us safe, AND are mandated by the state and local government, and then they go the extra mile thoroughly sanitizing from top to bottom, changing filters very frequently, having PPE for their customers. Love that this store is so friendly and upbeat. The music from the 80's playing made me want to shop longer. This store has it all from a giant wall of books to designer brand name apparel and vintage clothes. I like to go in to buy some crystal vases and such for gifts for clients. I have shopped 3x at this store in the last 6 months. It's gotta be the best thrifting I've done in ages! The husband wife team have curated the best of used books, dishes, art, clothes (men and women), shoes, holiday cards, scarves for dogs, music, jewelry etc. The store offers two fitting rooms to try on garments, hand sanitizer when you walk in/out, free books in a large basket for "kool kids who klean their room". You get all this in a bright, cheery atmosphere with some of the coolest music playing in the background (New Wave anyone?). Thanks Puffys! read more

This family run store is not only a jewel of a place, but is being run by a wonderful, friendly family. They not only provide hand sanitizer and masks, they work with anyone that has a medical exemption and ask that you please follow the 6 ft social distancing protocols. I overheard a situation while I was there today and just need to clarify that they did not turn anyone away, they simply asked that if they are unable medically to wear a mask as mandated by the state, that they please follow the social distancing (also a state mandate) and they were yelled at and berated by a would be customer to the point that the police needed to be called to make a report. I am not particularly fond of masks myself, but if I want to shop somewhere and they are strict them, yes I wear a mask. People, if you are not willing or can not wear a mask, please don't go into a small business and make such an awful scene and then go and blast said small business on a public forum, especially when they were are willing to work with you, Take some responsibility and just be kind, we are all trying to negotiate through this crazy thing called life. A little kindness goes a very long way. And in closing, if you like to shop at thrift stores, you have got to into Puffy's and check out the merchandise. read more
